[Q] How to complement till full toolchain?

Hello everybody!
I have FW4, VS2010 Ult, XNA Game Studio 4, ExpressionBlend 4. I want to start development for WP7 and found MS' toolchain (467Mb ISO!), but it's huge! (and no separate components is available). What else do I need to develop for WP7? Guessed I need phone emulator and some libraries/SDK, but cannot find appropriate packages. Can somebody help me, please?
Also, do I need unlocked image? What exactly is locked in emulator?
Thanks in advance.
The only basics you really need Visual Studio, and this download which is the Developer Tools Package, it contains all the files, the emulators, etc

One thing you should certainly take a look at is the Silverlight for Windows Phone Toolkit, which you can get here:

It's stuff that really should be in the main SDK download, but it simply isn't.

open rooting tools for QualComm 425 Android 7.0 on Linux host with android studio ?

Good day -
I am looking for the best open-source method to root my new Android 7.0
AGM A8 (qualcomm 425 snapdragon chipset, 4x AARCH64 cores) when it arrives.
I am a programmer (not a mobile device expert) with latest Android Studio + NDK
installed with Android 24 & 25 platforms for aarch64, on a Linux x86_64 Workstation.
I do not run Windows, though perhaps WINE might be a possibility; I can run Java, of course .
I will not root my device until I can assemble the source code
/ scripts and build an unlocking tool that I can read and understand - I do not want to
put my entire device security in the hands of a closed-source application that I cannot
read or build - especially one that risks bricking the device.
Please, does anyone know of an open-source rooting tool that will work for my device that I can build
and run with Android Studio ( IntellIJ Idea + SDKs + NDK + LLDB ) - on Linux ?
I also have Qt5 Designer & latest Java tools & gcc-6.3 & glibc-2.25 & binutils-2.28 & many frameworks installed .
Any suggestions gratefully received .
I have found : https://github.com/android-rooting-tools/*.git
but it looks like these take some time to learn how to use & are potentially dangerous
and not likely to work for Android 7.0 .
Ideally, I'd like a tool I can read (in C, C++ , Java, or Python or PERL or shell scripts) , build on Android Studio, run under emulator for testing,
and then push to device and run on device . Is there any such out there ? If not, it may be a long road, but I will follow till I get there / find one / write one.
Thanks & Regards,
Jason

We need to have bios for our devices to boot it directly and since we don't have one, our best choice is to wait for a project on xda (I don't remember the name well but I'm pretty sure you can find easily if you search for it) that ports bios for android devices.
But to be honest even if you can run windows on mi 6 there are 2 bad news for you:
1) The vast majority of windows applications are written for x86 architecture and we have arm architecture, so to run them you should emulate either os or run the app in an emulated sandbox - so no good performance.
2) As I said in 1st one, emulation is a must (if you aren't planning to compile all those apps for arm architecture). Also windows 10's capability of running x86 apps on arm is based on that very emulation method, it runs them on a WoW (Windows on Windows) so there's clearly a hit on performance.
I suggest you to not to expect to have a decent windows system running on your arm device but if you need/want to run more basic windows apps, you can try Limbo PC Emulator. That way you can run some older or stripped down versions of windows with no heavy performance loss. For most of the basic things I find MicroXP project enough but don't expect to be able to run Photoshop on that I hope this answers your question.
I see, thank you ccelik97 for your clear answer.

Windows 10 obile SDK/ADK/WDK Archives, Mirrors, Install files for Visual Studio

I used to have some SDKs and even a WDK for Windows 10 (Including Windows 10 Mobile). After recently installing Visual Studio 2015/2017 and building up libraries tools etc. one install after another I was able to acquire SDKs, ADKs and WDKs for Windows Phone 7, WP 8.0 and WP 8.1....but when I got started on installing or trying to install Windows 10 (Including Win10m) I realized none of the downloads on M$'s servers/webpages contain the Windows 10 Mobile portion of the installations, after doing a quick google search it appears Microsoft removed Win10m development feaures from their product downloads as far back as 2017?? Has it really been that long...? Wow.... I know I can't have been the only one to download these dev kits while they were available, can anybody provide a backup link or archive link to a cloud based service to share for those of us that still wish to continue to build Win10m source files and mess around with creating our own (UWP or not) Win10m software??
Thanks very much guys
