Do not try it . yxflash is the buggiest software ever made. Especially on the Desire.

Heard mixed reviews, but doesnt sound like there is anything else capable of playing of VLC (X264) streams?

Ive tried 'yxflash' as well as 'stream media player' on my HTC desireand neither of them will run the VLC(x264) streams im wanting to play.
Hopefully a TCPM player for the android will be released soon.
There is no proper player for android at the moment... but there will be a version of CorePlayer for android that will solve all our issues!

I've been searching for a way to stream music thru my phone, and found this and was wondering if anyone has heard, or have tried this?
It's called LaVellaMobile radio, and the software is free and they're some free streaming radio stations that you can listen to, so you can try it. Now there's a one time membership fee of 10 bucks to become a member, after that you get a log in and password to stream 100s of radio station worldwide in digital quality. I want to get this but wanted to know first what you guys thought.

I installed kinoma and nothing works, everything on it throws an error code . It won't stream music, won't connect to youtube. I know it's a crack cab, but do I need a reg. code or something to make it work?
Before you assume its a crack cab, you are wrong.
that is the free version of it.
So y dont you try to go directly to their website

Have you tried converting the files to something that can be played on the phone?
Download the Divx player for windows mobile. I believe that does Mpeg4 files. You can find it by looking on google and searching "divix player windows mobile", or something like that.
i just tried divx player and the same problem, the video plays but the sound doesnt. and its not an old silent movie lol

well TCPMP has worked well for me in the past. You cannot convert it on your computer to a different format and then transfer it?

Are you running a custom ROM/installed Google Play onto your Kindle Fire? I'd recommend MX Player.

Mx Player or Mobo video player.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
I've tried Mobo and like it but will check out MX - have heard several mentions of that one from many here. These will contain relevant codecs or will we need to get these as needed?
i was using dice (which was recommended on another thread), but moved to bs player a few days ago and really liking it so far
hw accel works great on both, and bs has a nice feature to auto download subtitles if you're into that

No need to download any.
I use MX Video Player and BS Player (haven't decided on one to stick with, yet).
I stumbled across this somewhere, honestly I don't remember where or I'd give credit. Someone here on XDA posted it in a thread response. But I never saw an actual thread about it, and search did't turn one up. So I figured I'd make one because so far as I have been able to tell, this is the best video player option right now. It's been way better for me than Vplayer so far. So here it is, the VCL Media Player for Android Beta App. Those of you who know VCL from Windows probably just jumped out of your chair or got a chubby. So far, it's played every format of video I have thrown at it. I have not tried any audio with it. Probably it would own those too, that's what VCL does.
EDIT: I accidentally attached the wrong version of VCL. It did work flawlessly, but was designed for a different chipset. I have now changed it to have the correct version(The Tegra 2 version).
This version is ONLY for devices with a CPU ARMv7 that will support NEON.

I found it the other day myself, it was for a response to some else looking for a good avi player...I've been using it on my Nexus 7.
An amazing player, just like the PC version. Plays everything you throw at it without installing anything else. The Android version hopefully will stay true as well.
Its been available on Google Play for a few weeks already. And to the OP. It's "VLC" not "VCL"
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
VLC is an amzing player on desktop. On Android, I have been using Dice Player. The dev made it free since yesterday.

Thanks for fixing that sir, I didn't know. I've actually been using that version the whole time because that's the one someone gave me. It still works anyway I changed my attachment to the correct one!
