do you have a memory card in your phone they come with a 4 GB card i have around 50 apps and about 40 books and still have 3.6GB on the card and 50% of my phone memory see if your card is in right
Homerun 3d takes 20mb anyway, pretty big.
Also if you were installing the apps while the phone was connected to the PC it may have dismounted your SD card and installed everything on the phone memory?? Just a guess.
my memory card is in right i did have 48mb free installed asphalt 5 and idracula didnt like them unistalled them now i only have 20mb so strange desire need to get rooted asap

Can you share with us how do you manage to install apps on sdcard ?
the phone is superb much better than iphone imho but just makes me angry having to factory reset every time i run out off memory hopefully gets sorted soon
Yea okay this is really annoying me now, i barely have any apps on my device besides google maps, facebook, aircontrol etc all under a couple of mb. I install raging thunder 2 which takes up more than 20mb of my internal storage and that's it, don't have room for anything else. This is REALLY stupid.
It is a massive issue for me as its a really great device, but you can only install a few apps at a time??? WTF????
It would be nice to install more than 1 3d game......
I noticed the same thing as the guys above. Can someone tell us how to install the APPs on the SD card that's in the phone??
From what I understand, apps2sd requires root access, which requires a root ;-)
funny or not, but i had more free mem to install aps on my old nokia e50 phone and all this talk about this issue here or basically on the net, it's just bad pr for google/andorid platform.
it's a lame limitation that at the end will be removed by google itself or by rooting the phone.
and for now... install astro file manager and backup unused apps on sd card. thanks to that you can have some apps installed in phone memory, ready for quick use, and many more backed up on sd card available with few clicks.

that sure is some not so subtle advertising for your site there..
Downloaded earlier today, its a great game, recommend it to anyone, best top down racer on android IMO
Doesn't work on my phone, saying it's not licensed. Apparently I'm not the only one experiencing this problem.
Killed it with ATK, restarted, seems to work now. Downloading additional data...
EDIT2: Pretty good game
It's okay, was hoping that it was more like Ignition.
doesn't work for me... It's stuck at "Downloading game data to your SD card"

Delete folder com.polarbit.RecklessRacing in data\data then try to download again.
Servers are just overloaded.
This game is GREAT ! Beautiful and very playable..

i tried to delete that folder that you mention but isnt located anywhere on my phone or sd card.

i installed the game and played it twice, two days ago.
just now i had a look at my battery stats and especially at the sensor usage (see this thread for a howto to access those numbers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=817794)
does anybody else experience reckless racing taking up lots of sensor usage even though it's not even running?
Didnt happen to my phone and I played it last night. I have android system on top.
I am using Reefermattness' latest package and the only things that do not work is blueooth and the camera\camcorder which i never use anyway so its not a problem for me. I am having a problem though, some apps will not install. I basically use XDANDROID for the apps\games so this is a big problem that I cannot get OPERA MINI 5.1 or ANGRY BIRDS to install.
Is there a solution to this problem? I have done alot of searching and have found alot of people have had this same problem but all the post were a couple months old so I'm not sure if this has been fixed. I have also read that ANGRY BIRDS won't install on devices like the EVO either. I have also seen about 30 screenshots on Reefermattness' thread of people running ANGRY BIRDS so I am wonderin why it will not work for me. Could it be my device (TILT 2)? Could it be because I am overclocking XDANDROID? Do I need to update something in the package? I have used several KERNALS so I don't think that is the problem cause I have never been able to install ANGRY BIRDS no matter which KERNAL I use. Do I need to write a code in STARTUP.TXT? I am really unsure why ANGRY BIRDS works for some and not others. Can someone help? PLEASE!
angry birds
i was never able to run it either till now!
I use Froyo X Jan.12.2011 from here.
Froyo X
in post #3 there is a download link for Angry birds.apk
extract the Titanium backup folder to root of sd.
copy over the froyo files and launch. Use titanium backup to restore Angry Birds and data.
should work then =)
I don't run with mine overclocked and it runs well, slight lag here and there depending on running apps. I might try overclocking to see how it is.
if u get a light blue screen only and sound on ur 1st startup for angry birds i just turned off Android and rebooted to fix. Usually always works for most issues

I got it workin on the package I am using but now I have a problem with the graphics. I guess I need a 3D driver.
I've had it installed on a lot of my other packages but this is the only 1 where I've been able to play it. Others either didn't have video and just sound or were too laggy to be playable.
There is a lite version out there which worked better then the Marketplace 1 for my old packages that u could try. But the Froyo X is the only working/playable 1 i have found for me.
Is there a way? I've tried Link2SD, Apps2SD and Titanium Backup and nothing works. I have games like Most Wanted and Modern Combat and take up 3GB already.

This has been asked a lot of times, so people won't rush to answer your question. I feel your frustration, however. Most people will suggest you just root as the be all to end all. But some people don't want to do that or don't really have the know how. At any rate, another argument is the internal memory is more than enough. Yeah, for people who just play basic games on their phones, and nothing more. For me... I am literally down to about 400MB of internal memory. I have REAL games installed on my phone, that take up GBs of memory, not mere MBs. I, too, have Need For Speed Most Wanted, in addition to GTA III, Asphalt 7, and a few other games that all take up over 1 gig of memory. I bought this 64GB memory, thinking I wasn't going to have anything to worry about, only to find out Samsung found another way to screw us over. It's like AT&T and Samsung have been working hand-in-hand to find ways to limit us. My card is basically useless. I use it for all the movies, songs, and TV programs I have... but I mostly got it for storing my apps.

I see, I appreciate you replying. Sorry for this thread but I do have one more question, about Titanium Backup. I want to make my micro sd the backup location but it isn't letting me. I'm copying the backups via My Files from internal to external. Will it work if I delete the original?

I don't know any way to get around this stuff without rooting... I'm using Directory Bind to move gameloft and EA games along with the cloudcache from the dropbox app. I couldn't get much of anything else running the way I wanted...
I move lots of big files to sd using directory bind. It has been working good for me.

Titanium Backup > Menu > Preferences > Backup folder location
I used ES File Explorer to create a folder on my SD card for this purpose and than selected it as the backup folder.

I know you can copy the backup file to your ex. SD card. You might get an error "checksum missmatch" when you restore it from the phone recovery. I know it will work when you flash it with oden. When you make the recovery. It stores it as a xxxxxx.md5: xxxxx.tar :xxxxximg files
Personally. I would copy the original file to your computer incase you need to restore it later via Odin.
Stock roms are available at Sam mobile forums.:good:
Swap memory cards
I found this script that turns your extSD card into your internal and vice versa. The script can be set to run on boot and so far for me it seems to be working with no apparent problems!
I'd post my screen shot and link to the video but rules about new members wont allow me.
youtube.com/watch?v=QUF7R0mmk00
seems a lot of people have errors that come up after a while about the scripting method
Ya, I heard about people having issues but so far I haven't had many. .. other than using ROM toolbox to run the script at boot because s manager would not run it at boot and you would have to run manually, which wasn't bad but I like not to have to think about it. Also, I haven't gotten close to filling up the 16gb which is also where I guess people have issues.

I'm not an expert (nor am I affiliated in any way with the developer) and YMMV, but I've had great success using the app GL to SD (available in the Play Store) to move game files onto the external SD card. To name just a few I have NOVA 3, Jet Set Radio, NFS Most Wanted, GTA Vice City, FIFA 12 on my Note 2 (16GB) and my internal storage sits at 2.68GB's. Before I rooted my phone with all the apps I had I didn't have room for the games I wanted, but now I have all the apps I want and space to spare.

This works - thanks dude! Finds all internal sd data and move to external sd. But you have to ensure the correct folder paths are set first and then use the menu options. Transfers one game at a time (even though it seems allow you to select multiple at one - tick only one each time). Also free on google play store

Aw nuts. I got my hopes up. It's only for GameLoft games (hence the GL I guess). I was hoping to move TTS and GPS offline maps and such.

Nope - if u go to settings and move to sd it will show data that can be moved - most are game data though. (also allowed me to move google earth and ebooks to sd too)
It says it's only for Gameloft games but to me it "seems" to move data from other games and programs as well. If one of the more expert members of the board could try out the program and say what's actually happening that would be great. Because based on what I can see the program does more than just address data from Gameloft games.

Gameloft games are made for maximum profit, they're the EA of mobile gaming. They forced their employees to work long hours, while this is the norm for gaming industry, 120hours a week has been quoted. They have poor users policy as well. They will purposefully make older games incompatible with newer devices or take them off the market even though you purchased the game and the device can run it, to promote their new ones. They originally charged 99cents for Asphalt 8, but the game is designed as free to play, as in you play for long hours to gain points/money in order to progress or upgrade and utilize in game purchases that way, milking more money from its users that way.

Try disabling AdBlock or Ad-Away. I was also mad about this and the problem was a hidden AD on top of the Menu.
The game is stuttering on kit kat 4.4 builds, the car seems to going back on high velocity. Wierd.

Really? Well thank you for the advice and info but i will certainly not disable my ad blocker for a paid game to show me ads i haven't had before. Also disabling is not that easy in my case since the ad blocker is included within my ROM (ARHD for HTC One). In order to disable it i would have to completely reflash it which i'm also not going to do just for this insolence on the part of Gameloft.
In what way is this even legal procedure by Gameloft making me pay for a game first and patching it to unplayability with an unrestorable update later on?
You have to add *gameloft* to the host whitelist, and everything will work.
