Hey. the notifications light wont stop flashing on my HTC desire wont stop flashing and i have NO notifications. No emails, sms or missed calls. I do have an item on my calender/agenda for late today but i have send the reminder to 3 hours before and at the moment its 12 hours before. I have also tried moving this item to a different day and the light still flashes so it doesnt appear to be that. The battery is currently at 100% so its not that.
Has anyone else experienced this or know what it might be?
Thanks
edit: ok, looking at the phone every 5 mins or so, the light stops flashing for about a minute or so but then goes back to flashing again for no reason...ANNOYING

Okay, so something I installed in the extra CAB packs in the Touch Pro2 thread has caused my stupid LED light to flash upon reboot and not STOP flashing for at least 5 minutes and sometimes it NEVER stops.
If I ever had that issue on any other phones, I was able to use the NueLED program to rese the LED. Well, that doesn't work here and there is no specific rhyme or reason.
I have no voice mail messages, I have no unread email or txts, no missed calls... and these are the only things that cause the damn light to work anyway!
I don't want to have to do another stupid hard reset to get this working. Damn!!
Thoughts?
Tried soft reset?
what color is it flashing? if it is red its because your battery is below 20%.
If you are charging it and it gets overheated, it flashes green and orange.
Mine overheated yesterday while running WMWifiRouter for about 30 minutes while charging.
OHHHhhh....

I never knew that about the different colors, learn something new everyday. Thanks!
My Desire (Orange Uk) decided to stop vibrating the other day. Nothing could make it vibrate - I tried emailing it, changing the profile to vibrate-only, locking the phone and moving my finger over the little circles to unlock (the phone usually vibrates a little as you pass over each one), phoning voicemail (the phone vibrates as a call is answered) and powering off and on. Then, suddenly, about 15 mins after I powered on it started working again. Has anyone else had this? Perhaps you have a quicker way of getting it working again?
Update: Since then, it refuses to vibrate for phone calls/text messages/emails. I'm told I can do a factory reset and that might fix it. I don't really want to, though - not every time this happens. Any one else had this and managed to fix it?
Has anyone else noticed the LED not notifiying correctly ? The first 2 days I had the phone it seemed to work perfectly, now the notification will not show until I wake the phone with the power button, to find I have had emails, messages for some time. I know many do not use or care about the notification LED, but it's a must for my situation - I can't always grab my phone and wake it to see if there is a message or email. I have not really changed anything in the power/notification settings since I set this phone up. I tried reboot etc...
No nothing like that here...
Tried a Factory restore??
Maybe a recent app who is interfering
Mine does this quite a lot. The notification light is not reliable. I received two emails this morning and it didn't flash at all.
Other times it flashes for a bit, and then stops. I've had this problem over multiple different ROMs and installs so I don't know what's causing it.
Very annoying - means there's no point in having a notification light!
not had this issue, or at least not noticed it.
last night i did manage to over heat my phone, by having a live video pod cast stream over wifi, while charging, as i only wanted to listen, i lay the phone to rest under my bed quilt.
after about 40mins i picked the phone up and boy it was hot, and i had both the red and green led flashing, not seen this combo before, so it must be a warning to 'stop whatever your doing'
I downloaded the JB 4.1.1 ROM off of RootWiki and installed it via ClockworkMod. I chose the JellyBelly-6.3 build number and have been having some issues.
The first is that when i receive or make a call, I cannot be heard on the other end unless speaker phone is on. Along the same lines, when i pick up a call, the caller hears a loud static burst which then stops after a second or two.
The second issue im having is that when my phone gets low on battery, it notifies me as usual (you hvae 14% remaining plug in your charger), but then the battery icon appears as if the phone is plugged in for a moment, and then falls back into red and notifies me again. It does this over and over until the phone dies, notifying me once every few seconds, beeping and interrupting anything that i'm trying to do.
Im sorry if this has been posted elsewhere but is anyone else having these issues? Im lost as far as how to fix these issues. Thanks for any help

This sounds like a lot of issues. Honestly the best thing to do might be too full wipe and reinstall the ROM. If the problem persists then try another ROM.

Well.. first it would be wise to report this on rootzwiki.
Second, I'd do what he said and do the wiping process.. it could be ROM issues too.

hi folks
my note 2 doesn't wake up sometimes. it still shows notification LEDs during its sleep, but cannot wake up unless I take the battery out and put it back in. I experienced this on Friday and Sunday, but not on Saturday in between..
I tried the battery on my wife's Note 2, and no problem there...
I tried a different custom ROM, but experienced it there as well.
Is this a hardware issue, or could going back to stock rom solve this? Or is there another way?
Help please!
same issues on mine, the alarms didn't go off this morning because it wouldn't wake up. tried linage and nuclear roms. I just came on to find an answer!
It takes 10 seconds to unlock at the best of times (black screen until then)
Hey, thanks for your answer, but what do you mean

- did you manage to unlock from the black screen WITHOUT taking out the battery?
Do I just have to wait for it to wake up? But calls are not received and alarms do not sound while it is sleeping.... right?

I heard a call come in but the screen didn't wake up to answer the other day, 8/10 times it eventually unlocks after frantic clicking of the home and on buttons but the only answer is to take the battery out if that doesn't work. Its at least once or. twice a day I end up removing the battery.
Would be great if someone knew of a rom to get around this. initially they work great but get slower after a few hours.
