Makes a big difference doesn't it? I've not bothered with SpbPP cos that was the main feature I used in it, but the HTC app seems to work very well.

no lockups yet, just trying to figure out now which radio version is best for this?

Testing those ROMs modified basing on Helmi V1.1 is just wasting time.

Have you even tried it yet? It's a combination of Helmi and Jasja. I don't have to spend time to tweak, fix it. Why would it be a waste of time when I don't have to search and install all the fixed and tweaks to make the ROM more stable? PDAViet 2007 has combined all of the fixed and tweaks for me.

The changed log is in the first post. The add-on are minimal. I haven't tried the Jasjar's ROM yet but according to PDAViet's forum, the WMplayer plug-in, Task manager, Comm manager are taken from the Jasjar. Basically, they just combined the known working tweaks, apps, and included them in the latest version.

I've installed the earlier version of PDAVIET Rom and have installed BUT NOT WORKING the WM5torage 1.73 app.
Does this ROM also have it? Working???
I'm using Helmi ROM WM6 with 1.13 radio and it's working fine. Should I upgrade to this one?

You mean the FM radio? It's an useful app, why to remove it?
And on the attached screenshot there is still the FM Radio program...

I´d like to do something similar to the Spanish WM6 ROM recently released by HTC, iot to get more free memory in my device. I´d like to strip progries/features without including anything else. (i prefer installing cabs from SD than from ROM/extROM)
although there are tons of posts about cooking,
would you be so kind to write a concise guide, only for stripping?

Did you use the "change-page-pool-size" too ?

I've changed the poolsize too.
When you start to make your builded OS.nb file there you can exclude the extrom part.
In HTC rom tool of Dark Simpson just go for System part.

You must remove thinks from both folders.
Most the exe files can be found in oem\oemapps
Most of the modules can be found in sys folder

[APP]Midomi Music-ID from Samsung FREE

This is the new FREE music ID software from Samsung Omnia ported to be work on any PPC.
I have found another ported version on another forum, but there you have to use WIFI as the network. But I hope you don't have WIFI in the places where you wonna recognize a new song as in your car or club....
So I modded the software to use GPRS/3G network.
In addition on other version I found it installs to the main memory, but you can install my version on your SD/Internal Memory/Device as you wish.
This software is FAST, Looks cool and FREE compaired to the alternative available.
Install and find more by yourself. Read the README file after installation.

Works on my Touch Pro w/ NRG ROM. Menu (right softkey) option crashes the app though.

Tested intensively on my own diamond. Are you using WIFI (or something other than packet data) for internet?

I found that I could only get the other version working on my Diamond2 over WiFi. On GPRS/3G/HSPA it simply returned with a "Network Error" message.

Error was when I prompted for Lyrics or Youtube... Anyone know how to fix that? Playing a sample worked though!

I fixed the data connection setting in the original installation package, you can get it here. No need to mess with registry or patches after install.

1. others needs to do the registry change manually.
2. the whole 4.5MB software essentially installs under WINDOWS folder in others.
Because I like installing in one shot and each MB is precious for me, hope the others would feel the same way too.

Bottom line all I want to know, I will not get charged for using this correct? Free to download, yes. But charges on my bill are not.

Update: it came of the repairs, now it wont even start, before it was starting, so its officially dead. so i bought blackstone 3 days back.

only thing i forgot to add was live messenger otherthan that everything i can think of that I usually wants in a ROM is there. newer version of Youtube with settings call recorder.. etc. perhaps the best keyboard, sip menu have to be change manually, its not avaialble with keyboard.

uhm some more informations would be better..
What programs are included, How many RAM available etc...

look at screenshot its the memory usage after 10 mins of usage including video and browsing. it hovers round 72 mb to 80mb . after boot usually round 67 to 72mb used.

u need to install seperate dialer for that.

Great Rom
Used this Rom for one day now, no bugs found yet, good responsive, only one thing, memory use could a little bit lower

Oke, perfect, this is the only rom close to stock rom with WM 6.5 and sens2.1 that works how it should be.
Keep up the good work.
Did see some double icons in windows setting, but no problem, Allmost the perfect Rom for the Diamond till now

Try MTTY before flashing and hard reset after flashing.

new version 1.5 will be up in 2 Hrs if i dont get any network issues, having bunch of them... otherwise will up tommorow morning.
ram usage is better then ver 1.
only issue i still have to fix is when playing video have to close album manually after video stops.

The flashing via SD has never been 100% workable by that i flash all my devices via SD yet the Excalibur wont, this may be due to SD capacity\compatibility?
Just spend the £2ish on a USB lead as it will make everything so much simpler

the problem is i couldnt find a usb cable,but will try to find one soon....and i cant go to boot loader mode.....
anyway, i have to say thank u soo much, really thanx...

These cables are generic and you can find them everywhere, I used the one that came with my old motorola Q and also a V3. So, maybe your neighbor has one.... You can find cheap ones online.
