Unfortunatly the lazy devs here have not spent any time trying to port vBulletin to the Tilt 2! This is an outrage!

Well guys, what forums are there for the Dash? I have been lurking around this one, modaco.com, and qusers.com. Any others I should know about?
howardforums.com is still the most active forum for the excalibur i've seen so far
under the htc, wm smartphone, and t-mobile wondows mobile subsections
Agreed, and I have yet to see a Excalibur specific forum similar to Qusers.........yet
dashusers.com...I'm working on it...need some moderators to help me out though.
I just joined Dashusers. Good to see it. I'll help if you can use me.
Thanks a lot for the support guys. I have been working a lot on getting it setup right. I am having trouble integrating the forums with it as my hosting service is being a pain in the butt. I am thinking of switching to another service altogether.
Whatever happens, it should be at least functional in a couple a days.
I finally got the forums working. You guys will need to re-register.
Thanks again for all the support.
Cool - I'll take a peek!
dashsmartzone is out there too.
There is also a forum started up called forum.dashsmartzone.com. It has a couple fairly technical Dash moderators targeting the finer points of the Dash.
First off, let me apologize for asking what to many is probably a straightforward question, but I've spent the better part of the last two days stumbling around, and as Moses did after 40 years, I figure it's time to stop and ask directions....
Recently received a PPC 6800 Mogul (Sprint) after many years of Treo and BB use. Let me say that I love and hate the phone at the same time. Love the fact that it operates like a PC....hate the fact that it takes forever to boot up. But such is life.
In my travels on this site and others this weekend I've downloaded some cool apps and I've been able to get a few running on the phone. But as I've done so I've realized I need to get some basic CAB or Windows Mobile 101 training.
Is there a thread or threads on here someone would recommend I read to learn the basics of using CAB's or other ways to load apps onto my phone? I really like the way the phone is easier to understand than the Palm OS and WAY better than the BB OS. But I think I'm at the point of being able to get myself into trouble, but not out of it.
Thanks in advance for your patience, your help and your humor as I plod through this. I'll keep you posted as to my successes, and maybe amuse some of you with my blunders.
"I don't find trouble, it just seems to know my address."
Great Start!
Thanks Mike, this is a great start!
With my skill level (and I'm part Irish, so Murphy is always lurking out there somewhere) I'm going to invest in the backup software.
Appreciate your help!
- Here we go, into the wild blue yonder!
HERE is a great place to find some cab files....
Enjoy!

Hi
exe files you run on the PPC and next time you connect to AS it will auto install the programme on the PPC.
Click to collapse
a little typo there ...
although, once in awhile we do get an EXE that specifically meant to be run on the device too ... so you're not 100 % off there
I'm so excited that I just ordered my first smartphone. The Touch Pro2 through Telus in Canada. I've been patiently awaiting my contract to expire with Bell to get rid of my Razr.
So since I'm new to this I have lots of questions and I wonder if anyone can recommend where to go to get some basic information to familiarize myself with installing custom ROM's, apps etc. I'm interested in making the most of my phone and I'm pretty good as far as computers go but I don't want to screw up my phone right of the bat so I'd like to learn the basics before I jump right in.
I've also done some searching around these threads to figure out a fix for the fact that the Telus TP2 has no Alt and Ctrl keys. Is there something out there I can instal to convert keys on the keyboard like the mail key etc. to these keys.
Any tips and tricks I need to know with regards to the Telus version? Do all the ROMs work on all the versions?
Thanks!
Christa
Well, you've come to the right place. Please read the forum rules, the wiki, and basically all the stickies over here in the Rhodium section. Hope you enjoy your device as most of us do!
Sorry guys if I ask here but I'm trying to flash my wife ATT Tilt 2 for the 1st time and i'd like to get some advises on which will be the best rom available.
I did quite a bit of reading of the ROM Development forum but there are so many ROM's available that it is very confusing to pick a good one at the moment.
Any advise will be appreciated.
Thanks
just do a search on the forums....this question has been asked about 500 times.
The best rom is a personal choice as you will see once you start flashing different roms. The reason for this is simple, each chef has his own style and no 2 roms are the same.
So, I have been with Android since the G1 and then switched to the OG Droid on Verizon. Ever since the beginning I have been rooting and rom'ing my phones and loving every minute of it. I recently switched to Sprint because I absolutely loved the 4.5" SGS II and I'm in love with this phone. The exynos processor is insane, and should keep this phone near the top of the pile for a long time to come. Okay, enough ranting. My question is, does anybody have a single link or maybe a couple of links that I should go to if I was interested in starting to create my OWN rom for my phone? I am completely clueless about where to start and what to download, etc. and I know there are a ton of awesome devs in our community so I was hoping somebody would be able to give me a sort of headstart by showing me a site where somebody may have compiled all of the tools you need to get started. I appreciate any help in advance. Thanks guys.
