Is there a way to hide the cache folder (.thumbnail) from appearing in the gallery?
It makes it impossible to find what I want with the hundreds of graphics used by apps on my phone appearing in the gallery.
I tried to delete it, but seeing as it's a cache it re-creates itself whenever an application launches. Really annoying as it caches images from Facebook and Twitter of people I don't want on my phone.

Click to collapse
Navigate to the gallery tab.
Click on 'Albums'
Click on 'Albums' again
Select '100Media' (This is the photo directory on my phone)
Click 'Menu'
Click 'Set Album as Favorite'
Click 'OK'
This should take care of your problem!
Hello,
is there a way to delete / remove all entries in DHD calendar at once?
I synchronize the calendar with the Google calendar, but even if I remove all the entries there (settings > remove), they will remain in the DHD!
And how can I delete a different calendar completely (PCSync)?
thanks in advance...

If you want do lose all your calendar data (from google too) you can do this:
settings-applications-manage applications-all-
-calendar-Clear data
-calendar storage-Clear Data
-calendar Sync Adapter-Clear data
If you want to keep Google data, before this you need to unckeck Calndar in Sync options in google account (Settings-Accounts&Sync-Google..Facebook).
oh yes, thx a lot!
properly simple...
Hey thanks a ton for your helpful working solution mdalacu, i was having all double entries in my calendar god knows why, and at a complete loss on how to delete them all in one go on my Galaxy Note, you solved my problem in a jiffy!!
I started to notice that the old messages in my facebook for sense widget were never getting removed. I deleted all of the caches that I could but it seems like only the icons are removed but not the messages. Twitter for sense and the rss news sense widgets both work as expected when clearing the cache....but not facebook for sense. When I removed and re-added my facebook for sense account, I got like 7 megs back of internal memory and now I can scroll down to the bottom of the facebook widget without having to scroll forever.
You say Facebook widget.. do you mean the Friendstream widget? It is known to have bugs in early FroYo builds but I have never used it myself to help you out with it..
If you mean the Facebook Sense tab inside the contacts screen then I can provide some info..
Go to Accounts & Sync and then click on Facebook for HTC Sense and select Remove account.. Then go to Manage Apps and find Facebook for HTC Sense.. Force stop it then clear data and cache.. Then reboot your phone and re-add the Facebook account on the HTC service and everything should be fine.. Tell me how it went..
yes, I meant the friend stream widget in sense. I have done what you said and it seems much better now, but I wonder if the cache of facebook messages is going to build up again. I shouldn't have to remove the facebook account every time I want to clear all the messages in the friend stream widget.
I´ve accidentally set the HTCs' standard video player as the default one. I was looking for it on the apps list to clear the cache so I can set a different app as default video player but I cannot find it. I´d like to know which app is the HTCs' standard.
View video
Not clear cache, Clear defaults to reset the default app.
Clear defaults is blank (no defaults set). I can only clean the cache or the data. I deleted both and it still launches the HTCs' default app when I click over a video
I´ve even installed a couple of new video apps to see if the system would ask me which one I want to use...but no luck. The only way I can choose to use another app to play my videos is by long pressing the video file and then selecting "open with'...but I don´t want to do that.
Clear defaults works for me... see attached screenshot, it shows the Clear defaults is highlighted. No idea why it is not working for you. Maybe someone else has a better idea.
Yes, ive searched, nothing I've found has helped.
Normally I'd just ignore the app, but unfortunately I don't have a choice as its the only way to get a custom lock screen, as far as I can tell. My problem is basically just the threadbare options menu. I don't see any way to prevent it from displaying Picasa Web albums (yeah, sync is diabled) in the app itself, and the Gallery app isn't listed in the app management settings, so I can't clear the cache.
So if someone could point out to me how to clear the cache and to add images that are already on the SD card to the gallery, I'd appreciate it greatly.
Are you talking about gallery? Showing Picasa albums? In gallery click menu then click content to display 5 hen deselect your Picasa and dropbox. go into settings and application manager. Swipe left until you see all apps. Go to gallery and click clear data and cache then reboot all thumbnails will.
Oops did that backwards kill data and cache then go into gallery.

Thanks! There was nothing in the UI to indicate there were different columns of apps, so I had no idea I could swipe to see more.
