Morphgear Problems - Touch HD Themes and Apps

Hi all,
I've recently come across a post on this forum by member 'blutz', in which he was porting the morphgear for better use on the HTC HD2. However, following his steps proved harder than expected, and now I've run into some problems.
First of all, the skin he put on his website doesn't really load correctly: I've got the graphical buttons on the top part of the screen, and the bottom part is made up out of the corresponding key sections (colored circles).
Secondly, when loading a ROM, I get a tiny screen in the middle of the screen where the ROM plays. It reduces the ROM to a size of roughly 3 x 2 cm. This, of course, is unplayable and I think I've done something wrong...
Furthermore, when I try to press one of the buttons, the whole background picture moves up, and a standard layout of the buttons appears, not the skin.
It seems as if I've made a few mistakes in installing the morphgear, or I've got some settings wrong... Can somebody help me out here?
Much appreciated!
RaikoX92

Nevermind people, solved it.
*facepalm at self*

About TouchFLO in Universal.

Hello.
Is there any way to obtain the TouchFLO usability from the new HTC Touch, into Universal? I don't think there are any hardware changes as to how the screen handles finger moves and clicks.
Maybe any plans on a new WM6 Rom for Universal that might support it?
If yes, would it be the whole Touch interface, including dark gray apearance, etc?
Thanks people.
EDIT: Just read about the first TouchFlo Rom (Ivan i Think), but there is lack of feedback as for the usability of the Touch feature, or the dark grey today theme/caller apearance... Any help?
there are hardware changes
Yep, the hardware of HTC touch is different which enables it to do some 'gestures' on the screen. So, all we can 'taste' is the today plugin which it uses
Thank you both for your responses. Midlet, I have user your ROMs before.
However, I don't understand what the changed might be, since "drag n' drop" finger actions are possible in Universal or any other PPC (for example, using the finger to move an icon in some other place, on "Spb Pocket Plus Today Plugin"...
Any specific info on Why "HTC Touch" is different (apart from the LCD protective material which -just a guess- may be a little more matte, in order for the finger to easily move on it) on this device?
Still, I can't figure out why a finger gesture needs extra/changed hardware. I would understand it if it accepted more than one touches at the same time, but this?...
Thanks...
hi were can i download the cab file for the today pluggin screen like from touch?
you might try this http://www.mobiletopsoft.com/board/2...pocket-pc.html but you need to have WM6 installed. You are not alone others want this interface as well. I have the same question in the Universa general forum
when i click the link it wont forward me. wats the search name of the pluggin? thanks
I think you can get an answer here:

A serious and important question about resolution. QVGA, VGA, problems.

Hello my friends,
I have a problem, my XDA runs in 480x640 resolution. When I load up a game or an app that is designed to run at 240x320 resolution the program loads up in a little tiny screen in the upper right hand corner.
Is there any easy fix for me? Is there any pixel doubling program to let me see the app or game I am trying to use in full screen, or is there anything that can temporarily decrease the resolution from VGA to QVGA? These are definitely questions that need answering. I see many people with the same questions on many boards and if there is a solution, it escapes me. I know for the other way around there is a solution, but for going back down, there seems to be nothing.
Is there really nothing that can help this? Am I really stuck with a little tiny program in the top left corner forever?
-Kili.
PS: Sorry for all the little smileys but damn they are cool.
Your WM with a screen resolution of 640x480 will run in "pixel doubling" mode automatically.
If you haven't loaded MvRTrueVGA or another similar program on it, and still seeing apps running in the top left corner, it means you will have to contact the developer to make a VGA compatible version of their application.
You usually see this with games as they bypass the WM OS and directly access the screen to speed up displaying the game. The downside being that if they don't check for a VGA(640x480) screen on your device and just set QVGA(320x240) you end up with the app running in the top left corner of your nice VGA screen.
I've never seen anything you can do from an OS level, but contacting the developer should fix it for you.

i know that why i ask for any one to make a smart program!!!i think that program save the 1st touch then go to the second and x2 the middle kinda complicated
BUT SHOULD WORK
To my knowledge, some apps actually already use this technique. When you press two points on a screen, it takes the coordinates exactly in the middle and "presses" that. It doesn't work with a screen full of buttons though, as there might be another button where the "dummy" press occurs.

Well....we know that Opera doesnt...and IE and Skyfire and so on....
Seems like those would be the only relavent apps right?
i mean for me the multitouch would be the most usefull in web browsing...not so much in any other programs...

For me its important too so plzz any one hack it or get at least 1 app that uses this trick it'll be the most useful app
ALL MULTI TOUCH APPS ARE WELCOME!!!
Jees. Calm down.
Yeah, you're getting a bit hyped there. Perhaps its time for you to get another phone?
Anyway, there was a GBA emulator around which used that, since you wouldn't be able to press both movement and something else at the same time. I have no idea where it is though - was months ago I saw it.
jea got this GBA prog but never played on touchscreen, opera with multitouch would be very fine, but the display of the xperia x1 is to small for that aktion by using fingers... thats my point of view, but i thougt that the hardkeyboard is to small to type, too. and i was wrong
so it would be a nice gag to get opera browser with multitouch function..

Hi!
Please be careful not to make people crazy about a resistive touchscreen, to become a real multitouch with a piece of software.
A resitive touchscreen like on the Xperia is not like the capacitive ones.
There is simply a physical limit.
Please get yourself a little background about these technologies.
When you press two points on a screen, it takes the coordinates exactly in the middle and "presses" that.

Angelusz is absolutely right. Nothing more nothing less!
With a resisitive touchscreen, you can sample only one "touch" at one moment in time.
It doesn't work with a screen full of buttons though, as there might be another button where the "dummy" press occurs.

I won't doubt that some tricky programmers may use the effect, to get something like a multitouch feeling, but the real UI will never behave like it does e.g. on an iphone.
Please slow down dxdiadora

thnx for the information about multitouch but can u plz think about my idea :
to make a prog that:
1.take your first touch save it while you still thouching it you touch somewhere els and "it presses the middle of them " then if you move your finger then the middle moves and the prog will chek if it is closer to the 1st point that he saved so it zoom in the first point you pressed
i know that it cant be like iphone but plzz can u try this trick?? ill be so pleased
thnxxx for helping anyway
As far as I know. and I am really sure about this.. You cant use Multi touch on the x1. like. never unless you changed the touch panel on the phone it self or something like that.
[EDIT]
You know what?? I've decided to shut up. it's a shame really that op is making such a big deal out of this crap. multitouch on resistive? ok.
now cool down a bit, otherwise You may jizz in Your pants...
problem with your idea is that, it doesnt see the first finger placement, the sensors are in the corners , so it doesn't tell where you press, but the dead center of pressure, and it counts that as one press, not two separate finger positions. That being said, there is no possible way for it to save the first press, because the first press doesn't actually exist
iswish
can some1 find the software any cab of this iswish please
i realy want the pinch to zoom !!!!!

freeware on HVGA

Good day, dear people!
I am very much interested in buying the HD Mini. But I still have a few residual doubts. The sturdiness of the thing is one such qualm, but the main question mark is the screen resolution.
Dabbling with freeware is one of my hobbies (and the reason for sticking to Windows Mobile for a bit longer). I have loads of apps installed on my current phone (being a humble HTC Touch of the first generation) Examples being (in no particular order):
Paint Now, VNC, Total Commander, MyNote, Nitrogen, Made, Space Time, PocketGravity, PocketSand, Swirly, Mobile Fractals, MobiPocket, GoDAft, TempoPerfect, ToneBox, BlueHoo, WiFiFofum, DeluxeMoon, PocketXPDF, MobileMonger, AdvancedConfig, BatteryStatus, and VSPainter.
All these apps run perfectly well on the Touch's 240x320 screen.
Is there anybody out there who can tell me how they fare on the HD Mini?
Much obliged!
Regards,
wim
Hi,
Nitrogen runs without problems.
Total Commander runs, but there R problems with the lower button row.
The other apps I dont know...
Thanks Peppo.
I was going to propose to make a list. But while I was doing so, I noticed something: most apps people mention in other threads seem to be working just fine.
Maybe the resolution is not such a big deal after all.

For the overlapping problems of Total Commanders bottom row there is a beta available, that solves this problem - which seems to be a common problem of 6.5 devices.
so, where is this TC beta to be found?
Obviously by the designer:
http://www.ghisler.com/pocketpc.htm
That's where I looked, but the most recent version of TC pocket edititon dates back to 2008. Can't imagine this solving any problems on the HD mini.
But maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way...
Edit: Okay, forget about that. I didn't scroll all the way down. (Who expects the most recent release at the bottom of the page?!)
Thanks!
Yep. Works fine.
Okay, so I did buy the HD mini without waiting for the feedback I asked for in the first post of this thread.
Here's what I encoutered so far as far as freeware is concerned:
DeluxeMoon: when run, it appears as a small stamp in the top left corner of the screen, which makes it unusable.
Paint Now: seems to work okay.
MyNote: works fine.
PocketSand: buttons don't work, screen doesn't fit (too small).
Swirly: doesn't fit the screen.
GoDaft: works fine.
WifiFofum: works, but the screen is stretched vertically.
MobileMonger: works fine.
Haven't tried the rest yet.
Has anyone tried any of the configuration tools that are out there, such as Advanced Configuration, PocketToolman, HTC Customizer, and - especially - BatteryStatus?
Very curious whether these stil work!
i use this mini well
i don't advise anyone to buy hd mini
i have baught it and its a bad experiance , it is slim and hd screen and colors ,
but now after one month use , while i move it you thing the phone in moving in side the cover.
second it does not have double camra and you can not do a video call
useless 3G
I Think HTC is only making people fool by daily bringing new model with no change
just name and alittle bit change in shape
no new technologies

[HELP!] Reduced Sensitivity Of Touch Screen - Touch Pro2

Hello to you all,
I really need help regarding the touch screen of my HTC Touch Pro2, which has lost its former sensitivity for some time now. I now need to apply more pressure on it to have it respond. As a result, the touch screen is getting all scratched!
I've made extensive research on the subject right here on the forum and else where as well; however, nobody seems to have the solution for the Touch Pro2.
Following are the actions I tried to take, which were unfortunately to no avail:
- I downloaded and installed an application called iTouch, which can be found on the link below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=469865
- I tried to edit my phone's registry as suggested by several posts I have read. The files whose values I was asked to change are:
(i) HKLM/Drivers/TouchPanel/PressureThreshold. The value has to be set at 80866 (using decimal, not hex).
(ii) HKLM/Software/OEM/TFLOSettings/FingerPressure. The value has to be set at 1 (using decimal, not hex).
Also, I'm currently running on Windows Mobile 6.5 and it is my guess that editing...TFLOSettings/FingerPressure is not making any difference in the sensitivity of the touch screen because my user interface in HTC Sense 2.5.
Sorry for the long post and your help will be much appreciated.
Thanks
Why is nobody helping me?
Please, I need your help.
Thank you very much!
Hello,
I would suggest simply running the screen calibration again and pressing very lightly the screen when asked to.
This will change the registry values to the appropriate ones.
The values you edited are the right ones for the pressure sensitivity of the device. Make sure you restart the device after applying them. If they make no difference, then there make be a problem with the digitizer. In that case, you might want to look into a warranty replacement, if you have that option. If not, digitizers and their instruction kits go for about $50-80 on eBay.
