[REQUEST] Kitchen for Sunno HDi ROM - Anyone? - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Hi friends,
I've been reading up for a few days on custom cooking ROMs. What I have is a problem - I have a chinese cloned phone (Sunno HDi) for which there is zero OEM ROM support. So I have to do my own investigation in custom cooking.
The base I start with is a ROM file in the format .img. Ok.. no problem. I can use osnbool to get .nb0 files, and then imgfs.bin and xip.bin, etc. But my main problem is that I don't know what kitchen I can use that will support this custom ROM. I noticed that there was some support here for Ciphone ROMs. Would it be out of place to ask what it would take to support another chinese phone ROM?
My main goal is to get some of the newer build features on to my phone. I already have build 23037, so I have a good feel of WM6.5.3. Just not the whole being a chef part.
Can this even be done with what I have?
Any help guys?
Thanks everyone!

WM6.1 Rom to cook

I know alot of the chefs on here are top notch and use a method of not using RGU files in there ROM.s but I need a good base WM6.1 ROM that I can extract using Core Kitchen and alter as I fancy having a go at making my own. However I cannot find a good base WM6.1 ROM to develop that doesnt have the RGU fiels taken out. Any Ideas on which WM6.1 ROM is good to start cooking with ?
good shout!
I'll second that!
I'm about to embark on a project too...
ALWAYS try pandora naked, download the kitchen from the thread as it has all the tools in the zip already broken into OEM/SYS. The latest build is pretty good and its the one im using in the new ROM im flashing tonight at some point (V7).
matt_rk is pretty swell about releasing the rom bases etc... so i wouldnt worry about it being behind in terms of versions alongside the latest builds of PaYs / Ks rom etc...

How to DUMP custom ROM like bElite from Bepe

Hi, I use DiamondKitchen 0.4
It works for Official ROM but fails for some custom ROM, bElite ROM can not be dumped this way, is there a solution or another way to dump.
I really appreciate any help about it.
Kind Regards
Well, most of the cooked ROM's out here, are someway protected or they have left out some files(RGU files). In this way, the ROM can not be rebuild...some use it as protection, some use it for a faster ROM because there are less files in the windows directory, wich may speed up the ROM.
As for the cooked ROM's you really should ask the cookers for the missing files, otherwise you have to cook your own ROM with a base ROM. Most of the cookers put a lot of work in the ROMĀ“s they are creating while they having a normale life also(wife/kids/work). So it is not nice if someone else add some apps to the ROM and publish it on xda as his rome....on the other hand, it should be nice if everything is shared, but I really understand the real cookers, so I let it for what it is and appreciate the work the real cookers put in it and respect them.
I'm just a simpel cooker who can only add some apps, but at this point, I cannot take advantage from the more experienced cooker, who applied some twaeks, making the rom faster than the stock one's and having a more faster/stable base ROM to cook from.
But as i prefer cooking my anti-theft information into the ROM, I can only use stock ROM's...so that's the decicion I make: use faster cooked ROM's without my apps into it or just build your own ROM with your own apps, but not with the advanteges of the more expreienced cookers out here

how to reconstruct dumped rom?

will anybody make some tutorial for beginners with all tolls
dump rom is easy now all i need to now what should i do with those 4 raw files... id like to cook that dumped rom and make my own!
i have seen this tutorial but thats for kaiser...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=337066
may i use it for diamond rom with same kiaser tools???
ty all
it's correct, you can use some kaiser tools
ty
already coocked, flashed and dumped rom is still protected?
coz i having trobles with kaiser tools im getting error at this point:
Choose the KaiserKitchen folder, Go
You may get different errors, but yes, roms are protected. Few cooks are providing kitchens, few are not locking. Too few IMHO..... as the software itself is not their property anyway....
Shipped roms are not protected - you can try how it goes with shipped rom, then you will know what to expect.
Good luck!

[REQ]Diamond WM6.5 WWE kitchen

Hello Guys!
I just recognized that Windows Mobile 6.5 is very fast and that it also doesn't need as much memory as 6.1. But in every 6.5 ROM I found there's something missing I would like to have in.
Where can I get a WM6.5 Kitchen? The best would be when it is with the latest build available.
I Just don't know where to get this, and I never cooked before, just want to try with it (don't ask me why, I just want to)
It would be very nice if someone can give me a link for a kitchen.
Thanks in advance

danny_and_2 created a kitchen based on the 21500 build which you can find here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=503128.
Im also currently trying to create a kitchen based on the Stock HTC 2.03 rom and build 21501 using Ervius' Visual Kitchen but haven't been able to successfully port the XIP yet (device doesn't boot).
Thank you for your answer, I will have a look on it.
To prevent damages because of a non booting device the best way is to flash test roms via customRUU and to place a working diamimg.nbh on the internal storages, or is there any other way?

I tend to leave a copy of the stock htc rom on the internal storage (as DIAMIMG.nbh) and flash my test roms using customRUU, that way i can always get my device up and running again quickly if things dont quite work out.

[REQUEST] Kitchen for Sunno HDi ROMs

Hi guys,
Sorry for the cross post, but I figured this might get larger viewing.

I know the main forum is for HTC devices. But my question I suppose is for cooking a WM ROM. So any help anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks everyone!
