Privilege only for mods, if I am not mistaken...
I believe that you can upload png with animations (or so I read somewhere)
I have replaced my signature with a moving png. But i dont think its working.

Mine isn't uploaded to XDA it's linked via web address and placed in the image icon when editing signature.
Think we all have the option

I remember being wrong about something once... but that was a mistake

Cause this option is currently unavailable. Its something mods/admin have discussed before
I use my blog to host mine. It's a massive 50-frame (native) gif.
The boards don't offer the option because they are not configured to do so. To do it now would break them and an upgrade would risk losing data.
Trust me, I'd rather not have sigs than to watch all this stuff go up in smoke!

the same way I guess by getting a registry editor and looking for the correct keys u need to change, i may make instructions one day.

Ill post every single menu u can change and how to change them soon. You can also change the NEW menu items menu, the Outlook folders name i.e Outlook emails I have deleted as my computer is not connected to the net so i got fed up of that being there and i renamed Text messages folder to My Text Messages

It Describes how to do it
Specifically what I would like to do is make my registry edits and menu edits on the phone, then rip everything from the phone and reflash it, so that those changes are permanent.
If this isn't possible, then perhaps someone could explain to me how I can use Rickwyatt's excalibur kitchen to modify the registry and menus successfully. So far the Registry hack tool that he gives complains that it's missing "regedit4.txt" in the resources folder, and Rickwyatt hasn't responded to my requests for a fix.
Also, the instructions on the kitchen seem to be written for the Kavana ROM because the InitCCS file doesn't look anything like it in the Rose 1.6 ROM.
I would ask Ricky himself as he will be more than happy to help you out.

Ah yes there it is..Sorry for making you look, just wondering how it turned out. I do like your revisions better in some of the icons though. Send some to the app maker, im sure they always appreciate artwork.

Aight...n let me chng the main thread to give u credit for tht icon
One of the Best icons i saw for android was the htc sense glasslike icons in MIUI rom. The idea was to put the regular icons in a shiny clear glass frames, and the result is simply beautiful. Lately i was able to find the original iconpack here.
The link contains a zip with some ready to use icons and the glass frame. I used some of the icons with nova (repalced manually each one) and it really looks super great. The problem is the zip does not contains icons for each app i have. I think it is building the icons it doesnt have on the go, And i dont know how to do that.
Is it possible for one of you telnted guys to take the frame and creat a nova legit icon pack?

Whereever you found them, if they're under creative commons (CC) (means I can use them however I like for anything I like) I can probably make an icon pack.

Thats how i did it. Problem is that doing so is good only for some of the apps, in which you have prepared icons. what do you do with apps that dont have an icon in the zip?

Good question, I put myself the same question, and my answer was :"it seem that you need to use just for the ones you have"
...and I used just what I had and I considered that being more important to stay on the dock. Inside the menu, I let another kind of icons for the rest of applications.

Does anyone know what the area below the search bar is called (the area where the link is displaying)? I'm trying to figure out which flag in the chrome://flags option to disable. I've already turned off recent bookmarks visited and recent downloads. I want all the clutter off the page. Google is crowding this page with tons of junk now. They need options in the regular settings to turn these off instead of going through the flags settings.

Well, if you mean "they need to put it in the regular settings instead of flags" then no, its not... because Google will never do that, but I used this guide and my "new" pages are 100% COMPLETELY blank- just the way I like it. Not sure what else you were looking for?

You even got the spot where the MMA Junkie link in the pic I posted gone? I tried all the stuff in that article and that's the only thing now working for me. I have to delete those manually.
