Seems I cant charge my cell phone.
I've tried every single type of charger for WM 6.1 and 6.5 and it will not charge.
It works when I have android installed but for some reason it wont charge when its connected to USB or directly in the wall.
Has anyone else had this problem or is it just me. Right now i'm using the base sprint ROM and it still wont charge.

I don't know anythink make that. my handset upgrade the ROM.,So many version power use is very quickly. open the hanset ,and full charge it ,
Zero use. open more than 24 hours,Never .
The first. My be is the net locked make that, I think. Then unlock it.
Second , maybe is the bootloader, update it.
Third,may be is the sim Card . But disable Phone fuction is same as.
at the last the rom work time will be check the IMEI no?

because only one Rom canuse more than 3 days. then i think this isn't the hard device issue . but in the software. i try all ,can't find any way.

HTC Universal battery after about half year of use seems to have this problem. Get a new one. Avoid USB charging, not sure if this is a problem. Use the old battery when USB is needed.
From what you have written, which ROM you have tried that can last 3 days, please let us know. Just curious.

这位兄弟也是一位华人。我使用正德的ROM，从PDAFANS下载的。
但是有人说用小电量的充电器来充电会使电池充得更满。掉电会更慢。不知道也种说法正确否。
Hello，this is a Chinese fans. I am use the "正德" Rom ,download from PDAFANS
Someone tell me use the Moto adapter for charge (350ma) ,the battiers can be use a long time. I don't know this is true or not.
I heard using quick charge, that is using higher "mA" or "A" rating charging current type of charging will make the whole lifespan of the battery shorter. That is if battery can last X months using slow charge (lower current), it will last less than X months using quick charge.
Do you have the website link to the Download of the software you mentioned? Is this an official release from HTC or it is a self modified ROM?

i am not a newbie and I have searched for this problem over and over but have not seen a solution to it.
I have black 2.0 installed on an Imate JasJam with
Radio 1.34.00.10 and the SSPL bootloader.
Ok so the problem is 1 out of 5 times I charge my phone the orange charge light will not come on and the phone will not charge.
When I soft reboot it the charge light returns to normal and it all works great. I know this is nothing to do with the rom as I have changed that several times and the problem still exists. I doubt its the radio too as i have upgraded and downgraded before.
Can any one advise me as to what I could upgrade to resolve this. Also if you have experienced this then what did u do to fix it.

This is somewhat of a known issue. happens to me all the time on my car charger.
Because i unplug it so frequently it tells me its not charging although its plugged in. I soft reset it with the charger still plugged in and all is well.. its been noted before on these forums sodon't worry your not alone.

Go over and look in the accessories forum. Search for 4 pin charger.
This is an issue with the wrong charger. Long story short, you need to use HTC chargers, both wall and car.

Just got a used Excalibur from my dad. My Blackberry Pearl broke. I want to do this 6.1 update on this website but i'm having issues. I'm using Windows 7 ultimate and I downloaded WMDC. But my phone will NOT show up. When I plug it in the computer, it just charges my phone. I know i am doing something wrong which is why i need some guidance. Can someone give me some instructions? I dont have time to surf through a bunch of threads. Thanks.

Hello all, I have searched the forums far and wide for something relative to my problem but It's a rare one so as yet I haven't found anything, please direct me and delete this thread if I'm wrong!
A friend gave me his Desire as the micro USB port was broken. I promptly ordered a new one, and promptly messed up the installation due to malfunctions out of my control. I didn't think much of it as we happen to have an external phone battery charger in the house, so I can still use it fully just without being able to plug the phone in while it's on to charge it, my problem now is that the phone is locked to T-mobile and the unlock utility requires connecting to a computer!
My question is, is there any possible way of unlocking the phone for my Tesco sim, without having to plug it in, or use one of those Rebelsims? I've Googled tireslessly and cannot seem to find anyone in the same situation as me, so I ask you esteemed forum natives, it is possible?

short answer, no. Long answer, no. I don't think its possible.
I thought that might be the answer! I just needed to hear it from people on here, I suppose my best option is the rebelsim or trying to mend the port again

This was put off for a while because it happened before, so I at the time I had another s3 (busted digi), was another T-mobile variant. And I just switched mobos and speakers (oddly didn't work with "broken" mobos one). So after I finished that it booted and everything worked fine. Fast forward a few days and I installed 6.0.1 cm13 (unofficial I believe).
I had tried a ton of roms, but onto the point, there was another rom I wanted to try and guess what, it didn't work. It didn't kill the mobo (other didn't either), but it doesn't want to boot into the os, nor recovery nor even odin. BUT, it's still being read by my laptop, as in I can hear the connecting and disconnecting sounds, and it even charges for about 5 or 6 seconds before shutting off.
It still plugs in charges, but it won't boot. Can anyone help? or point me in a direction that would help?
I've heard of Jtags and all that, but atm I can't exactly do that, nor do I trust it very much. So any help would be amazing, I really love this s3.
If you found something let me as well because i did the same.
But sadly mine isn't even charging but i do hear it connect to my laptop and led turns on if i take out the battery and connect the wall charger.
This is not my device so please help me fix it asap.

Does anything appear on the screen? Does the phone show up as a new device named "QHUSB loader", or something like that, in Device Manager?
