Hello
About once a day the touch screen thinks my finger is about 1 inch lower for about 30 seconds. Does anyone else get this
I read that this happens on the nexus, is it normal or indicative of a faulty handset?
Thanks
Where do you have it positioned?
I also find that I have to click above where I want to select the button on the screen.

have you try re-calibrating it?

Where do I do this?
goto menu, setting, sound and display then g-sensor calibration.

there are 2 ways to calibrated your screen; g-sensor and finger touch calibration.
finger touch; goto menu, setting , language and keyboard , touch input , text input then calibration tool.

I have a problem with my HTC Wildfire S.
From several days the display lightens in random intervals. Do you have any ideas what can make this happen? It just shows the lock screen for a few seconds and then again goes to stand by...
That is either broken / faulty LCD or Auto brightness. You must have a light sensor
Settings
Display
Brightness
Is the auto box ticked?
If it doesn't have an auto box then you can't turn it off unless there's a Rom for it which has the option to disable the auto brightness

Well, do you mean it wakes from standby automatically or when you using it, it changes display brightness in some intervals?
same problem
i have same problem with CM7 Rom.
Try cleaning off the light sensor (One of the little circles to the right of the "htc" above the screen).
It seems to be quite sensitive to any sort of smears or dust over it and will cause odd behavior with the auto-brightness.

I had this issue, it turned out I had an option set to allow the phone to be woken using the volume buttons as well as the power button, and I kept touching the vol buttons by mistake, eg taking the phone out of my pocket to make a call, and it made me think the phone was waking itself up.

I have lower screen sensitivity in the bottom right corner where the letter L is and the Enter is. Sometimes it will take tree taps to get the letter l to show up on the screen while for everything else it works with barely touching it. Do you guys have this as well? Some people have reported this as well.
The weird thing is that when drawing, that part of the screen works just fine with finger or the s pen, its only noticeable when pressing...
Does anyone know how to calibrate the screen? It was in the setting before but now i can't find it.
I have noticed the same

I thought it was zagg HD screen protector but i guess its not. I would like to calibrate the screen but can't find this option on the Galaxy Note 2.
I think the screen protector is to blame !

Yes, in the right side loses some sensivity

I found out that it was due to the screen protector... I took it off and sensitivity is normal now

+1 with the letter "n" (but not right now for unknown reasons).
Anyone else want to remove their screen protector?

Yeah, same with mine, the letter "K" on my screen.
I think it's a defect.
Removing the screen protector obviously makes it MORE sensitive, but I still think it is a defect and had nothing to do with the screen protectors...

Wait for the update fellows. This was the case when my note 1 was released but with the updates the issue was resolved.

I also had that same problem. When i would continuously tap the L button it would just stop responding but if i go the S pen out and started to tap it with the pen it would work fine. I took it to the shop I got if from and they replaced it with one where the S pen wouldnt work properly on the bottom right side of the screen so they replaced it yet again and now i have a phone that is fine all except the notification LED is not as bright as all other note 2's i compare it with........Must say i love the phone but Samsung NEED to be more consistent with their quality control of their phones
Me too. My device different is when i swipe in portrait keyboard swipe works fine in my l and enter. Samsung must solve.
Hi guys. Same problem here.
I've noticed a lack of responsiveness on the right bottom part of the Capacitive screen on my Note II. This happes randomly when I tap on the "Menu" icon or when texting on the "Enter", "L" or "Delete" button. As said, you tap but the Note doesn't recognize the touch. It's a mess specially when writting.
Is it then a hard or soft problem? Shall it be solved with any future update or I should go and return my Note?
Did u try any other keyboard. Its the software bug.

Does anyone know with which application to do calibration proximity sensor on E988?
I tried these hidden codes
3845#*988#
5457#*988#
3845#*980#
5457#*980#
3845#*240#
5457#*240#
and none of them fit for e988.
The problem is that when i place the phone on my ear screen turns off,and i move phone away display not on. I tried all possible ROMs and hard reset and no help...
You can go to your build.prop and change your proximity delay that way. Or I know vanir and some others have the option to change that.

I tried that, nothing. I think it is hardware problem. When i press pleace on display in the top right corner sensor starts woking. It works for a while,5-6 minuts and then again the same problem occure.
Is it possible to solve this problem without replacing the whole display?

Both, either not charging and charging...
and there's an area in the touchscreen that is untouchable
but when you restart it a couple of times the whole touchscreen will start functioning again...
The touch digitizer might be damaged.. As was in my G too.. To find it out set the brightness to full and check near the bezels.. If you see white light coming near the bezels (the black colour has been somehow scratched away).. Then you need a digitizer replacement

Well, this seems to be software problem if it is specific. Did you try a wipe? Reflashed KDZ?

Did u try to test the touch screen in lg hidden menu .. You can enter it by entering the following in the dialer
3845#*<yourmodel>#
Eg.
3845#*975# for lg e975
3845#*970# for lg e970
In the hidden menu go to device test then individual item test (at the bottom) then. Touch Draw Test..
Now just draw there and see for yourself if the Touch is damaged...
In my case , i couldn't draw at the center of the screen ..
