There's no such update on Virgin. It could be harded or even immposible to root so you better wait for confirmation.
EDIT: No update on my phone cos it's already got newer 1.15.405.4
Just received my replacement desire, checked the software version which is
1.15.110.11
looks like there rolling this out preinstalled
I got mine the other day. Mine is on orange and came preloaded 1.15.61.10 and there are no updates for the phone

Different networks will probably have different id numbers for roms.
It's likely that Orange's 1.15.61.10 is T-Mobile's 1.15.110.11
Confusing I know.
ok, I've installed it as I am getting a replacement handset anyway due to lots of crashes.
firstly. stopped crashing...
secondly. battery life is massively improved!

Just downloading it now...
My Orange phone is 1.15.61.9 with no updates available. Not had any issues. Anyone know what the .10 diff is?
some very minor update.
Orange phones should get the FOTA in a couple of days time. try again on Saturday.
I just received my Desire.
2.1-update1
1.15.405.4
Got mine from Vodafone today....1.15.161.4. already had one update so don't know what the 1st one was or what has improved?? awesome phone though!!
I received mine last saturday and it's 1.15.405.4 ...
1.15.405.4 here - unlocked sim free from Handtec
Actually, orange peeps still on .9, try again......it's either working now, or will be this evening.
1.15.61.10 on Orange. Just had the update minutes ago.

I received my Desire today, Simlocked to Orange.
Got in at about 1.30pm, set the phone up and moments after setting up, got the OTA update. now on 1.15.61.10.
It's my first foray into the world of Android, I've come from a Samsung Omnia,
and I'm rather versed in the way of ROM flashing.
Loving the Desire so far, looking forward to the purported update which will add 720p playback and recording.
I am right in saying that this latest update is to fix battery issues people have been suffering with right?
I'm afraid 720p playback is not possible on a screen that is 800x480.
it does seem that 720p recording may be possible
Sent from my HTC Desire using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
oh that's too bad, although 720p recording should be great!

It records at around 20FPS now on QVGA. I can only imagine how slow it would be at 720P
That's unless they patch the FPS on the camcorder (I really hope they do)
do (my firmware is 2.1-update1 (1.15.405.4), and the maximum resolution is 800 x 480 could confirm me effectively with the upgrade can be recorded in hd 1024 x 720)?

Orange's firmware fingerprint must still be being agonizingly scrutinized by Google...
Not on T-Mobile either.
I've only ever made 2 purchases... Abduction and What The Doodle but neither are on the market (Abduction is but it's not Abduction World Attack).

WOW!!! I can't believe you guys haven't got the Froyo update yet. I got the update as soon as it came out, and I am on 3 Sweden. I wonder why they are taking so long there in the UK???

Nice to hear that ... hopefully operators will be able soon to push the update out for branded devices!
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Vodafone branded One X, nothing here... Is this just for unbranded handsets?
Now those with branded handsets (Voda, O2, etc.) just have to hope that the operators were given the update back at the start of the month along with everyone else and have been working on it for two weeks, so we'll get our updates in a day or two. It will be a nightmare if they've also just received everything today and branded owners will have to wait three weeks to get this...

Yes, for now...
Well, first impressions are that the screen flicker is more noticeable than before but then I'd kinda half expected that from reading other comments on here. Not really noticed anything else yet, it's a bit early to say.

Look, if you are on a BRANDED handset (Orange, 3, 02 or Voda) you WON'T HAVE the update yet because it has to first be passed approved by your network, which can take weeks. The best we can hope for is that they have been working on it since the beginning of May, when it was released...

Just a quick FYI guys. If you own an Optus branded HOX you can download 1.29.980.11 ota.

Anyone received 4.0.4 update for Optus HOX?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
I'm with Virgin here in Australia and recently, i mailed them and asked about their plans to update our phones to Android 4.0.4 with Sense 4.1. Their reply strongly gave me the impression that they didn't even know of an existing update or even what the term "base" means. It makes me glad that i unlocked my bootloader and rooted my phone so that i wouldn't have to wait for their slow service to catch up.
I'm with virgin but my cid is Optus.
You might have the same meaning Optus will be pushing it.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app

No mate. Early September on their site but who knows? I don't even care as 1.29 is running well for me.

I believe it was supposed to have at least an easy access button to switch between front and rear cameras... but I can't see it. So, I agree there is little difference in the camera.
I am hoping for the much talked about better battery life.

It's in Settings -> Display, gestures & buttons -> Recent apps button.
On another note does anybody know if the Signal Boost can be ported onto another rom? I too live in a patchy area on T-Orange, I heard about the signal booster so with the update so I went straight back to stock for it! I'll try and see if I can pull it with titanium tomorrow.
Thanks
