CONFUSED need HELP - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Android Development

ok so i am so confused now, this is my problem: i have a sprint touch pro 2 and wanna put android on it, i am currently on t-mobile, which build do i use the GSM build or CDMA build? i installed both and still not getting my t-moble carrier signal

does sprint have sim card? If not, you should install cdma version

sprint doesnt have a sim card im have a tmobile sim car don it

You have a Sprint branded RHOD400, which is one of the CDMA Worldphone devices capable of operating on either CDMA or GSM. Because your device has both CDMA and GSM capabilities, as opposed to the GSM exclusive variants of the Rhodium, your device will be referred to as a CDMA device on this forum (despite the fact it has GSM capabilities).
Therefore, you should install the CDMA version. Though if you use Reefermattness's package, the only thing you should do differently from a GSM handset is to check the "Force CDMA" checkbox after selecting your keyboard map.

ok i redid it with the cdma version, now cant cannot to tmobile, sorry but im a real noob at this :/

Cdma Diamond Rom

Hey guys. Just wondering some things here, and can't get an answer anywhere. These same questions are posted all over the web, so please lend a helping hand.
So, there is already one CDMA Version of the Diamond released to Telus, and soon to be Verizon and Sprint. Now heres the question. If I were to buy a CDMA Diamond off the web, one that is used on Telus, can it be used for Alltel, Sprint, or Verizon?
If so, would it be possible to make a ROM to go along with these carriers? I see that there is already a Diamond Kitchen available, so what would have to be done to get one of these phones to work on these carriers? Or is it already possible?
Thanks for any help guys.
I think the rom would not help because it is hardware. Not too sure though.
u can unlock it but alot of good that will do since its cmda you have to give sprint/verizon your esn and they will have to allow your phone for use on their network and as far as i know they dont allow unlocked phones even if its the same model as one they carry since the esns have to be sprint esns. if im wrong someone feel free to correct me.
verizon said they will open their network so when that happens yes you can.
the rest no.
and telus has NOT released the diamond as of yet.
telus is launching this little cdma beauty aug 14th. my question is this:WILL THE CURRENT ROMS AVAILABLE WORK ON THIS DEVICE
sprint will let you activate any phone, they just have to load your esn into there system
You can't use a WCDMA Diamond on CDMA networks because of its hardware.
The CDMA version has got a different hardware for make it work on CDMA networks...
I think that actual ROMs for WCDMA Diamond will work on CDMA version... the software part that controls radio hardware is the Radio ROM.

Anyone got their CDMA TP2 working on a US GSM carrier?

Just as the title asks, has anyone been able to unlock their Sprint Touch Pro 2, since Verizon's isnt out yet, to work on a US GSM carrier such as AT&T or T-Mobile?
Are the bands on the CDMA TP2s compatible with any of the 3G GSM networks, such as the 850/1700/1900/2100?
I just hate the fact that the GSM TP2s dont come with the 3.5mm headjack, but I wont bother with the CDMA TP2s if they cant work on a 3G GSM network.
Thanks!
Daniel
from the specs that ive found online, especifically the "insanely detailed review" that comes up when doing a google serch for sprint thouch pro 2 review. the cdma version will only support edge speeds.
I tried a canadian CDMA TP2 on a canadian GSM provider and only saw the E icon too. I'm in Oz now and have H full time. There are some radio settings in the GSM section of the phone options that I am gonna play with when I get home to see if it makes any difference. But it looks like it doesnt support 3G speeds in NA. Maybe after hard-spl, maybe radios simply missing?
I used my unlocked Telus TP2 with AT&T when I roam in the states. My device is unlocked and I have an AT&T SIM card. The sad thing as is noted 3G does not work.... gotta get that thing to work in future fixes.
Hardware issues
It is a hardware issue and will never be fixed. Our crappy US companies force HTC to cripple devices to try to limit our choice of phones we use on their networks!

Can the GSM phone use CDMA?

I have the standard TP2 unlocked UK version, that is a GSM phone but I understand that TP2 has dual system capability, GSM and CDMA. I use it a lot in India where CDMA is more popular and has better coverage. Can I somehow use a CDMA SIM and service by unlocking something?
There are two main versions of the TP2, the CDMA/GSM hybrid variations that Verizon, Sprint, etc carry and the GSM models that ATT, T-Mobile carry. The unbranded version is also a GSM phone. The GSM models, including the unbranded do not have CDMA radios. CDMA cell tech does not use SIM cards. The SIM cards in the hybrid versions give United States TP2 users the ability to use their phone across the globe.

so the bottom line, is NO, you cannot use your GSM phone as a CDMA one.

[q] HTC EVO Design 4G Firmware

is there a way to get it working with my tmobile sim(family mobile?)
Doubtful. I'm no dev but I don't think cdma systems and roms cant run on gsm phones. I may be wrong though.
We're comin from a pure power source.
The sim in the dual band phones I believe will only work if the cdma is activated that's how it worked on my blackberry tour world edition which was dual band GSM/cdma but the GSM wouldn't work without cdma being active so I doubt the design will work on tmo the dual band in it is basically for when you travel to a GSM only location but still have cdma service they come with a sprint sim card that basically unlocks roaming on GSM towers
We are legion, for we are many

[Q] Verizon Nexus run on GSM network?

I'm getting ready to deploy, and I was curious if you can convert the Verizon Nexus to run on GSM/international networks. If yes, how?
sorry
there is no way my friend. i just got back from deployment. I was in the same boat as you. sell that g nex my friend, and get the gsm one. i found one by going on ebay, searching for guys selling one close to me and off to buy it locally so you're not waiting on shipping. or put on craigslists for a trade for the gsm version, u never know.
Yep, what he said was right - you can't convert it over. The Verizon one has a CDMA antenna and all the other networks require the GSM antenna (why couldn't they have both!! probably for this reason..). And even if the other networks used CDMA, they have to specifically accept your phone into their network (some kind of CDMA authentication thing, whereas GSM accepts everything it can talk to).
So flashing a GSM baseband to the CMDA phone will not work?
NO! Do not flash a GSM baseband on your nexus. The VZW nexus doesn't have any of the GSM radios or frequencies and wont work.
Unfortunately the GN only comes with either GSM or CMDA/LTE. It may be worth looking into getting a global phone that supports both CDMA and GSM.

As already stated, definitely never do this.
