better rom for windowsmobilestandard - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

do any body know how to make roms for windowsmobile standard device want to change a few stuff on my samsungjack dont really like the orignal 6.5 rom help plz

"windowsmobile standard device"
don't exist
all roms are 100% custom made
unlike windows for pc which include drivers for many 1000's of hardware
windows mobile only got the drivers it require and all of them
if one is missing it fail to boot
and if non ms programs like camera, mms and the like software is not included those
features are absent
windows mobile device manufactors use the program which ms only give them access too
to add the custom made drivers for their hardware along with the 3th party apps to use those features

windowsmobile standard due exist you can find there section on this site

Windows Mobile 6 SDK

Has anyone tried the Windows Mobile 6 SDK
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...3A-A651-4745-88EF-3D48091A390B&displaylang=en
Have yet to download it myself, but I believed with this and the KITL mode we could compile a new crossbow rom? Maybe we could then use this core in the XDA-Live version?
Maybe anyone who knows about this stuff can give his reaction, I'm just thinking out loud.
man, d/l speed is slow.
I think you will find that the SDK is only for developing applications that run within the OS, not for creating images of the OS. This was the case for the mobile 5 sdk it allows developers to use the new cf.net framework. The 6 SDK includes the new namespaces including the updated system namespace and the new xbox namespace, as well as the new emulators.

Java XLet

Hi,
I was wondering if there is a jvm for wm 6 which supports xlets. They are part of the CDC toolkit...
I don't want to have to use midlets as it is quite a big process to convert an existing swing program into a midlet.
Has anyone been able to do this?
Thanks
Edit: I just discovered that esmertec jbed is supposed to support cdc and should support xlet i guess...
but when I run my xlet all I get is a 'File error (???)'
I also know that others have this problem as was posted here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=339579&page=7
But I don't think they were resolved.
Bump:
Has no one ever tried to get xlets working on their phone?
Ok, I found a java manager called CrEme.
It's great it lets you use any standard CDC java app which supports standard swing/awt. So you can instantly port any java app directly to your phone.
XLets/Managed aplications still don't seem to work but given that it runs normal apps, Im not too worried
I don't have any links for it but I've got the files if anyone wants them.
dear user, what does that all have to do with HRDF (Hermes ROM Development Forum)? why don't you ask this kind of questions in GDs (General Discussions)?

Looking for basic Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM

I am looking for a Windows Mobile 6.5 (not 6.5.1) ROM that is based on the latest stable build made public by Microsoft, without any extra applications, just HTC's default package of applications.
Does this kind of ROM already exist?
i'm looking too for a basic not modified version of WM6.5 .
anyone?
installed DIAMIMG.nbh and contact list doesn't work .

MissingMethodException on PPC2003 C# program

I have been working with VC# 2005 and the WM5.0 and 6.0 SDKs. However, recently I decided to try to run my programs on a PPC2003 device, since nothing in my code should prevent me from doing so..
However, I seem to have run into some problem that might be beyond my understanding of how the different versions of WinCE relate. My programs run on a WiMo 6.1 device with no problems. When I simply tried to run the software built with the 5.0 SDK on a PPC2k3, I got a MissingMethodException for a function that was in a C# dll that was in the project directory. I thought that it may have to do with some fancy new 5.0 functionality so I created a ppc2k3 project, but the problem did not go away. I was able to get rid of it by just including the files from the dll in the main project (which I would prefer not to do). This brought me to an even sillier exception: "Could not load type 'System.Collections.Generic.LinkedList' 1' from assembly 'System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=...'"
The device has CF2.0 installed and as far as I know, Linked Lists should be supported without any issues. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?
A WinMo 2003 device by default only has .NET CF 1.0 or 1.1 (WM2003SE) installed on it by default. Unless it has the .NET 2.0 framework installed on it, that could be the problem.
To find the version(s) on .NET CF installed run \Windows\CGACUTIL.EXE It may be a hidden file on your device. Depends on the OEM.
Check whether the method you are calling exists in .NET CF 1.1
It may not, exist or have a different overloaded type, check the parameters. If you modify your app to use the methods/properties only available in CF 1.0/1.1, it should work.
Thank you for your reply! I did install CF2 (and I think it gets automatically deployed if it's not installed anyway). The version I get from cgacutil is [2.0.6129.0, 1.0.3111.0].
This does seem to be something other than a compact framework issue though, since I got a similar error while trying to use a function from a dll that I built from source. Are there some build flags or anything that should be set on a PPC2K3 application that are unnecessary on later versions?
Not that I am aware of.
The versions installed on your device are 2.0 and 1.0, the third number is the build version.
You have to use some debug code in your app to get to the bottom of it.

i want to run exe on htc 10?

hi i want to know is there a way to run exe files on android, i have a htc 10 oreo
exe is a Windows format, in general it will not work anywhere else natively. There are ways of making it work within Linux by using Wine and so on (i don't know about Macs) but on Android? No idea. There may be an app that allows you to run virtual machines, but beyond that, no.
An.exe file is indeed a windows based file, like .apk is for android, my guess is that it will never work. Not even sure what you want to run as an exe to make it work with android ?
like any emulator or anything? i want to run otohits and wine is currently not running on it. and even i dont know if it will i tried wine 3.0,, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 non of them work
ScummVM or Limbo from PlayStore? what exe you want to run?
i want to run otohits autosurfer app
Just use the Android app instead: https://www.otohits.net/home/mobile
If you really must use the Windows version, you could try Wine for Android (https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/android/), but be aware: Emulation is far from perfect.
You can think of an Emulator like a live translator for two languages, but the difficulty is that each word from the Windows language needs to be translated to 100-1000 words in the Android/Linux language and on top of that every time the Android system must return something to the Windows app, this doesn't mean that it only has to translate 1/1000th of the words, but it needs to translate another 1000 words in that direction as well. The real problem is that the translator might not be perfectly fluent in both languages and that some figuratives from each language cannot be translated to the other at all.
I tried limbo and many mkre wine too. But no luck, i have the android version but i dosent have many important features.
It cant autosurf.
