You may want to modify the title of your thread... people don't react too well to demands
Secondly, please don't open new threads only to ask questions. Use the Q&A thread instead since opening new threads should only be used for contributions to the site (roms, apps, fixes, skins, etc). I have transferred this question over there, so please follow it there. Thanks.

Hello everyone -
Newbie here at this stuff, and I was wondering if I can download the Universal ROM AKU3.5 and install it on my Verizon XV6700 phone?
Thanks.
P.S: Universal means it's for everyone? or is it another brand like HTC, Apache, etc.

Universal is a BRAND, just as Apache is a BRAND.
I suggest you read the Apache Wiki
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Apache
Not much info on there right now, but it will get you started. Also, do a forum search for the Apache or the XV6700 to find out if other owners are successfully able to flash to a new ROM and the steps they took to do it.
Good Luck!!
Thanks for the reply, one question though, you mentioned about new ROM for XV6700 over Apache forum, and I'm assuming u mean the Sprint AKU2.2 ROM right? If so I already got it flashed in my Verizon XV6700 and working now. What i'm interested in is the AKU3.x ROM. Is it possible at this moment?
Thanks.
That's a question you'll need to answer yourself from reading the thread that has the ROM you want to flash to. Each ROM has it's own prerequisites for a successful upgrade, so I wouldn't even want to presume to know whether you can or can't.
Here's the link to Molski's AKU3.2 ROM.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=286988
However, it's in the Wizard upgrade section, so you might not be able to use it on your Apache. The only way to know for sure is to read the ENTIRE thread to see if you could use it on your device.
If so, FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY!!
If it's a Verizon phone, it is not GSM based, therefore it is TOTALLY different from the Wizard, and most other HTC devices.
If you can't do it yourself, learn. If you can't learn, wait for someone else to do it, and find out from them.
Now go have fun!
I can not connect to media net now. If I do this...will it work again?

let me help you quick before you get flamed.
READ before flashing.
Media net works. you need to read through the forums and find the setting. There are several cabs with the operator settings. any one of those will fix your problem.
USE a cingular friendly rom that already has all of the media net setting preloaded.
Mods.... please lock this thread as it will lead nowhere.
And, let me add that should you decide that going back to WM5 is your best solution you can follow the guide that is available. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299462
As mentioned, solutions to almost every problem you can encounter are already available, just do a search and read the thread associated with the ROM you are running. Enjoy XDA Developers and all the great things you can learn by reading the wiki and threads.
Hey fellas, I really need some help/instructions here. I know theres a thread on this , several , but I've posted for help and there so jumbled up now it's went unanswered. I want to put a Wm6.1 rom on my Alltel Vogue. The main feature I'm looking for is The new PIE (with the zoom feature) , and very few if any bugs in it. My problem is with the "imcokeman Vogue unlocker".... I've tried to run the one found on ppcgeeks.com, the one it says to use for gps roms, and the one for non gps, but have the same problem everytime. When I get to the step where it says to unplug , then replug the phone, when i replug, i cant get active sync to connect. Can someone please help. And also , please, please, point me towards a good rom to use. I would like to be able to choose a couple of things that goes on there, but Im not sure how to use a kitchen , where to find one of if thats what its even for. Im really new to this rom stuff. So please help guys. Hopefully I'm allowed a noob/idiot moment and get help instead of laughed at.... Thanks in Advance...
If I'm not mistaken, you can simply flash the new Altel update ... do a search it's there ... it's an approved vendor rom and I don't think you need an unlocker ... plus your warantee would still be intack
Fuzzy
custom
I can flash the Alltel Rom just fine, no problem. I'm wanting to install one of the custom 6.1 roms on here. Thats why I'm trying the unlocker. But still , its not workin.
Hi everyone,
My Vogue is on MetroPCS network, the phone is originally a Sprint phone and I flashed it to MetroPCS. Right know I am running NFSFAN wm6.5 v16, with radio version 3.42.30.
My problem is everything works, but the signal level goes up and down all day long, sometimes it could also say No Signal.... I read that some carriers have problems with specific radio versions.
Can you guys help? What radio version are MetroPCS users using? Is anyone else having or heard about this before?
Thanks,
PD. If someone is using this Radio Version seems it will point out to be my phone... so I would like changing the radio version, how can I upgrade or downgrade the radio version?
I have the exact setup as you, and I'm not experiencing any problems with MetroPCS. My only challenge is the same that everyone else seems to have which is a long delay in getting sync for GPS.

OK everyone, need help here! I am trying to revert back to factory wm6.1 for verizon. I am using NFSFAN 6.5 right now with coke unlocker 2.31. I have read all the discussions here and try .41 and .40 locker and both are showing .36 when in Bootloader mode. Anyways I have tried every route I know to revert back to wm6.1 verizon and always am getting error 260 connection. I am using windows 7 home on my netbook if that helps anyone in helping me. PLEASE HELP.
Thank you,
Wyatt Cornelius
