does someone know if there's a program such as this?

You could email them, thats what I do.
for an att user it would be:
[email protected]
[email protected] = verizon
[email protected]
etc etc, you can google for the endings.
Or you could use mobile msn messenger.
or palringo or yahoo or jabber or any of the millions of others instant messaging client programs around.

HI
is there any version of windows live messenger with the option of calling to another contact just like the PC version?
thanks!
As far as I know only voice clips are enabled, Skype works fine though
mm thanks, yes I'm using skype but not everybody does !!
I hope MS will do something about it
and there is not other software compatible with MSN and can do this?
The Anwser : FRING
or you could use a ap called FRING, site : www.fring.com, in this app you have msn, skype, icq, google talk, etc... and you can chat by writing and voice(including msn) in all of then try it its free
I use Outlook 2007 fairly intensively and would love a way to be able to set up sms sync between phone and outlook in a similar way to email.
Does anyone know if this is possible?
I don't think this is possible as I would have done it a long time ago.
However, there is a free program which you can download and when you connect your phone via Active Sync, you can see/send/receive text messages from you PC.
It's called Mobile Express made by Efficasoft
Have you tried 'Microsoft My Phone', you can see and sync all your SMS to and from the internet using your live account.
Not realy what you asked for but its along those lines
I use Jeyo mobile extender 2.5

You may also check how to send SMS from Outlook Mobile Service (Outlook 2007) with Ozeki NG SMS Gateway:

I have the Dash with mobile 6.1 and I want to email a photo from my device instead of picture texting it. It won't allow me to type in an email because all letters are disabled from the send to box. I can't type an email at all I have looked all over the options to try to find an option to allow me to email the photo instead of sending mms to a phone. Is there a secret behind this? why does windows mobile make this so hard? I've had many other phones that weren't windows mobile and I've never once had this issue?
If you have an email set up in your device just compose an email and insert you picture.

Well I thought about that but it's a prepaid phone and not service so I can't do that it will eat my minutes up to fast.
well there ya go. email is data. Do you have data on your prepaid? If not then you cant email.
setup the email address in your contacts, then you will be able to select emails, however without a data plan you wont be able to send them.
Is there a way to use MSN, AOL, Yahoo messagers using the unlimited messaging plan? The play says it allows it, but the Dash (6.1 upgraded) only wants to do it over data (wifi or data plan). I know normal phones have the messager apps that work over text plan.
Thank You.
Sorry, another question
For some reason I am unable to send MMS to email addresses. The keyboard seems locked to numbers. Is there any way around this or another MMS client I can use for sending?
Edit:
Found a work around, you can select an email address from your contacts and send that way. Odd.

In response to your first question, I think those apps are very operator specific because in most cases the operator has to have a gateway for managing SMS to the IM server.
There is (I think in the Wiki) a version of a messenger utility that uses SMS for T-Mobile USA but presumably the phone number to send the messages to is hard-coded so unless you can change it, it's probably fairly useless.

Hi, sorry if I'm in the wrong subsection, i've been searching but I couldn't find anything.
Is there a way to get notified when a new email comes to a certain folder in outlook mobile. The reason is I'm using google voice and forwarding txt to email. So I only want to get notified when I get a new sms. (I set up gmail to filter sms from google voice into a certain folder, so outlook mobile should reflect that)
Thanks in advance!
