Hello everyone. I was developing a camera application using DirectShow (using preview pin because i need to display images from camera immediately) on my previous phone - HTC HD - and everything worked just fine. But when i tried to run this app on my new phone - HTC HD2 - the image was rotated by 90 degrees. I tried to google for the solution but with no success. Have anyone met with this and is there any solution for this problem?
Thank you very much
Martin

Hi all,
I'm having a problem after installing the barcode reader software called i-nigma on my Artemis (WM 6.1 ROM). The camera app is showing the image upside down! The image is in the opposite direction than the GUI. And when I take a photo, the image is stored upside down, too!
More people has this problem after using this program. This is a comment from the Freewarepocketpc.com i-nigma page:

first I have the htc touch I cannot scan online barcodes at all and it screwed up my camera after the hard reset my photos are now all upside down and I cannot zoom in without the picture repeating 8 times on one photo making it impossible to see what the picture is of any clues on this issue, as the drivers for the camera are not available at all
Click to collapse
I bet it's some setting changed in the registry. Any idea?
Thank you in advance.
Hello all,
Two questions:
1 - Does the HTC Desire HD support autofocus when capturing video? My experience is that it doesn't and that I have to keep tapping on the screen to refocus.
2 - Does anyone get arrows for moving along roads when using Streetview in Google Maps? The manual for the Desire HD shows them, but I don't get them on my phone. All I have is the pegman and I have to click and drag him on to the screen in order to move along streets.
Thanks

I can answer only the first. You are carrect. You have to keep focusing yourself.

Are you using Google Maps 5? I think the moving by using the arrows was removed from this version. The one in the manual is an old version which still had ths feature.
Hi all,
Just installed Android Revolution HD version 7.0.0.0 and now the camera isn't working properly:
When the photo is taken, there is no "confirmation" with the small animation that shows the picture zooming out in the corner.
When you try to watch videos the phone reboots or / video does not appear in the camera folder list.
I tried installing the stock version again, but the camera problems are still there. Could this be because of an edited Camera.apk file? Could it be one of the tweaks in the installation screen? (writeback , etc) ? I also installed again without the tweaks but the problems are still there.
I now installed Android_Revolution_HD-One_X_7.1.0 and the camera seems to work better but when I have low battery neither the camera or the video work, the buttons are disabled and it takes no pictures. Is this a tweak or a bug?
Any help very appreciated.
Probably best to ask the questioning the ARHD thread
Thanks, I would, but you are not allowed to post in the HTC development forum. Is there some specific thread on the ARHD in some other section of the forum?
Dear XDA members,
After a month of struggling with this problem (since I use the camera quite a lot) I'm looking for a way to solve it. I must say I did a search before opening this thread and asking this question.
Device: HD Desire HD
ROM: JellyTime 4.2 R11
So the problem in short:
When I switch the camera to video recording mode, the focus function simply disappears. No autofocus, no 'touch to focus'...So I always need to go back to photo mode, focus where I want then switch back to video mode...It's very annoying. How can I fix it?
(I wanted to post this question to the corresponding JellyTime thread, but it requires 10 posts so I had to do it here)
Thanks very much in advance!
I was playing around and found a camera port (M9 camera) made by @thereassaad. I flased it right away on my hox (using resurrection remix v5.4.1). Also, the port contains the gallery, which works perfect for me.
The problem(s):
-Camera app starts and takes pictures ONLY with the flash turned on. Turning it off will make the app crash (or freeze).
-The "selfie" (frontal facing camera) mode wont work (camera crashes)
-Also, fullHD recording makes the app crash (HD works fine)
Now, my question is: Can anyone fix it for the One x?
