Need help changing the main storage media. (Can it be done?) - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV ROM Development

I have a problem to install garmin mobile xt maps. i've got a map that is around 80MB, so i can't put them in the garmin folder as the main storage is limited to 79.06MB only! what's the use of those 4GB storage media? why can't they set it to that storage media?
PLEASE HELP.

Can anyone please suggest me how to redirect all incoming blutooth files to a specific folder (preferably on the storage card)? Now they get stored by default in the (device) "My Document".

B&B 4.1, audiomanager not able to find mp3s in storage card

B&B 4.1, audiomanager not able to find mp3s in storage card
the ROM works great! many thanks to tom.
just discovered a bug that the audio manager isn't able to find mp3s in the actual storage card.
from the file explorer, the actual microSD card has been renamed to "Storage Card2", and there is a system created folder: "Storage Card", which contains some IE temp files and email files.
hope someone can fix that. thanks.
Also, can anyone give me some advice on some kind of software that will allow the ORBIT to show "running app" on the "today screen", which is one of the O2 plugins. THANKS again.

If your looking for Program Storage, then a bigStorage Rom is what you need.
If it's more Ram for program usage, then look for a "lite" Rom and search for program to change Pagepool to 4mb. You could try 2mb, but I would recommend at least 4mb with a lite rom. This should give you about 30mb before you start installing stuff. Then use Schaps Advanced config 2 and change the file cache to "Auto". Good luck
Chris
check this thread to get bigstorage: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=360461

Cheers Fellas!
Will take a look and see what happens!

Is it possible to change "Storage Card" name?

Hello everybody. Great forum full of usefull infos
I hope you can help me...
I've got a HTC Touch (Elfin) with WM6 Pro in french edition.
everything works greats but some applications, as some emulators (PocketCommodore64 and PocketNester), that can't find files on storage card.
Both seem not to appreciate the french name of the storage card ("Carte Mémoire") maybe due to the presence of an accentuated character.
For example , browsing for roms in PocketCommodore64 shows about 10 to 15 lines like "Carte M□moire", so I guess there is something wrong in the way the application reads the path.
If I move the roms to the HTC storage, everything works fine.
Is there any way (from registry maybe?) to rename the storage card?
Thank you very much.

Use registry editor & follow the below:
Edit 'Storage Card' in the string value of Folder in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>System>>StorageManager>Profiles >SDMemory> & soft-reset the device.
Also, please use search before posting. Don't unnecessarily create threads.
