Greeting oh clever ones | mun's Rom question

Hi People
First off, want to say hi, really looks like a nice community here, and hoping to be a human sponge and soak up all I can from you
Hopefully be able to contribute at some point in time.
I got a SPV m700 (Trinity) from Orange, and using my T-mobile sim card in it, after installing mun's ROM update.
Just wanted to know - does the INTERNAL gps still work, as I can only see the external GPS setting.
Will be loadin up TomTom as soon as I get a memory card.
Any other suggestions from you guys - that has experience with t-mobile settings for this phone?

You'll be fine.
Don't mess with any of the GPS settings, and when you install TomTom set it up as follows:
Other NMEA receiver
Com 9 Baud 115200

Sorry to be a pain - but how do i install that - do I need to edit the XML files, or anything to that effect?

i've also got a t-mobile sim in my m700. if you are in the u.k run the attached program from your phone to get all the necessary t-mobile settings.

No, just install and enjoy. you can copy the .CAB file to your Device and install from there. There only screen you will not get is the COMM Manager.

Forgive for saying that you must be doing somthing wrong then or using a PDA to access the site. What happens when you click the link in the 5th (#5) post.
seleting "Try This" should bring up a save dialog box. I used the link the otherday and did again just know to test the link still worked.

Cheers dude - second link works just fine, first one is just a bunch of XML files for some reason
Might have something to do about work blokcing it - but I doubt it.

Just caught up on this thread- sorry!
Glad you now have the HTC HomePlug- I've just tried the download from our site, and it worked fine, so maybe a config problem on the PC you were using?
If you haven't already, just copy the cab file to the PPC, then locate it with Pocket File Explorer, and tap it to install.
Now go to Settings/Today/Items and put a checkmark against it, and uncheck other plugins you don't need, and voila !

Automatic CAB installation

Hi all,
To be more clearer than the title, each time Faman does a new ROM, I update my Trinity and so I have to re-install all my CABs. I have created a folder on my storage card and I install it one by one.
So the question is, can we have a soft installed on the storage card where you can choose all the cabs that you want to install ?
You could maybe choose for each cab if you want to install it on the storage card or on the phone and then launch the global installation
I was thinking on doing it with Mortscript but maybe something already exists.

there are a couple of apps that will do cab installation for you.. There's info under the backup/restore section of the trinity upgrade guide on my site. Sorry I can't be more specific, just checking in real fast on my iPhone

I have tried the tool as I have just flashed my Trinity to the the Faman's v4 full D ) and it works fine. It will retreive all your bluetooth devices, your My documents folder... It's great

I think jiggs refers to a thread in the Development and Hacking forum...
But I don't think a mortscript is good for your purpose - not because of the script he wrote is bad nor mortscript itself is bad, the thing is you actually need to install mortscript manually before you can invoke that script and thus defeating your original idea to install everything automatically....
If mortscript can be compiled into a standalone executable, that would be better

no, my fake 2000 was builded on 1933 OS version, only to demonstrate that everyone is able to update and build new os version, for now, this is the 2000 os version that all are kooking right now, I don't analyze yet it, but seem to be fast, and is the os that all are posting right now, also the 1948 was posted some months ago, but all kookers are kooking it (if is the same!)

Flashed... but I still noticed some little issues
- Still miss Contacts Tab in HTC Home.
- SIPChange doesn't work... It doesn't add Link in Startup Folder under \Windows\
- Voice Speed Dial doesn't use Bluetooth earset button
- Recent Application List clears at every startup...

I only wanted to give my contribute to make better a great rom. Only for give you some feedback, no fruit-shop like. You can fix those issues or leave the rom as is now.
In every way, thank you for your work and not only for this rom.

Great work! but Ihave a problem, it's possible to see in contact only the number of cell and not these inside the sim?
I have modify the string into registry: HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone -> ShowSIM=0
but when I reset I lost this.

When change the registry key, afther put device in standby and last soft reset.

Ervius, thanks for your work. But I think that a feedback is fundamental for every kind of software; feedback, if not totally positive, doesn't mean a complain, instead it means that your work is appreciated and ppl are trying it and they whish to contribute to improve the result, still if you want to refine it.

yes, damn, I didn't undertand from where it cames, maybe from touch keypad-keyboard, but no information about found into package..... is an unusuable and useless icon into "impostazioni", but indagate about....

ok, solved:
useless icon into "impostazioni->sistema";
clean recent documents on reset;
"modifica sip" iusses for autorun after soft reset!!!!
maybe now I'll post 20.000 and 18548 builds with theese fixes....
what else was wrong in the rom???

Softbank X04HT ROM (USIM nag screen removed)

Hi,
I cooked my first rom of Softbank X04HT with annoying USIM nag screen removed.
*** This ROM includes OS only ***

Other Mods:
- Sample Pictures, Wallpapers, Videos and Musics (.wmv) have been removed from the rom.
I didnt do many mods on this rom.... because I don't know how to...
Other Mods that I want to do if someone can help me:
- Remove all the default weather location (not from the full list, but the selected cities)
Finally, for people who want the mods, please PM me and keep the link for your own use. And don't forget, this is my first cooked ROM (by newbie) and use it as your own risk.

I have tried this ROM too, thanks to Sky Man:
1) yes it can run on any CID unlocked Diamond
2) yes it can make calls. I had exactly the same problem at first. You have to go to the phone/band settings: by default, it's set on 3G only. U've got to change this according with the service available where you live (automatic, GSM, try and see which setting works better for you)
3) the ROM was running fine and fast but I came a across a major bug, therefore I had to uninstall it: after the phone entered sleep mode there was no way to wake it up. Pressing the 'on' button would have no effect and I had to soft reset every time.
Thanks Sky Man for your hardwork anyway. Hope this can be fixed.
(I reinstalled telsta ROM and the bug has disapeared.

There could be a chance that your radio doesnt work with my ROM (actually, the rom from Softbank). Since I didnt do any tuning or mods on the settings, and I have no problem of using the ROM, therefore, I guess the problem could be radio (Im just gussing)
Other people who used this rom pls comment on it ~

thanks you for your rom. may i know your using radio is what? i didn't meet the sleep problem,but it often doesn't answer. i dont know why, maybe the Chinese ime i installed?

Hi, this ROM works well except softbank dial-up connection. It seems that this ROM doesn't have any connection setting. Do you know how I can restore softbank connection setting? (I'm using softbank USIM)

After you flash the rom, the softbank setting should be already there and you cant do any modification on it... Im using the same rom with softbank sim card.

i cannot use the Dictionary and the word game.

the additional data is in the cd-rom which comes with the phone when you buy it. it's not in the rom, and you have to install the data from the cd-rom.

Why does Japanese roms only say 3G and not H? The Japanese ROM i tried only had 3G, but all the wwe roms I tried show H.

i'm trying the x05ht rom in the US on my HTC FUZE(Raphael) but i seem to have the USIM nag on mine too. i was wondering how you removed it from the x04ht rom? maybe you can remove it the same way on the x05ht rom too? i greatly appreciate it!! thanks!!

Attached is a CAB that will "app unlock" your stock TP2 (custom ROMs generally do not need this).
Primarily it enables RAPI functionalities, like remote registry editing and ROM dumping. Also disabled "not signed" warnings for unsigned apps.
(Yes I know there is many stuff out there to do this. Just thought I'd post it here in the Rhodium forum for those wondering how to do this)

Hey thanks man. I am getting all the cabs that I am going to need next month when I get an upgrade with Tmo USA. This will be handy since I will probably not be unlocking or messing with it for a while to make sure I don't lose my warranty. After a few months, I just might get enough courage to play with it a little more. For now, I will only do small changes that I can undo easily in case I have to send it in for service.

When i try to install the wifi sharing software it gives me a permission error.

Same here...I installed the appunlock cab and then tried to install a commManager cab that has htc wifirouter in the comm manager and it would say I have insufficient permissions to install.

pardon my ignorance, but what exactly would this cab allow me to do? i'm reading ROM dumping but I've always thought of ROM requiring Flashing and the like.
