I am trying to make my taskbar/clock etc transparent but have had no success so far. I have a TP2 with winmo 6.5. Does anyone know how I find out what version manilla I have (IDK what manilla is tbh) and what version Touch Flo, also, do I have sense? and if so, what version sense I have?
It sounds noobish I know but I'm really stuck here, thanks for your help.
If you have a stock 6.5 version you also have sense 2.1. manila is what sense is based on i.e. Sense is made up of manila files.
Sense is the new TF3D, chronologically it went TF3D on the touch pro.. then TF3D2 then onto Sense 2.1 on the touch pro2.
Custom ROMs have been made using the new LEO interface Sense 2.5.

what you need to do is edit the specific manila files for what you are trying to do, there are some programs that have been developed that will help, like CFC gui for the clock

It took me a while to figure it out but I found it by accident in the registry.
HKLM\Software\Manila\Version
If you don't have a registry editor PHM and Total Commander are both good.

Its the process name of TouchFlo.
Rhodium default is Manilla 2.1 I believe.
2.6 is from an upcoming device, HTC Leo.

It is possible.
2.5 is still early development and has some bugs.
2.6 is very early development and has more bugs.
If you have a GSM phone, best way to play with it is to flash a New rom on the phone that has the version you want.
If you want to go that route, read read read:

If you have a CDMA phone it's not possible yet to flash a new rom.

Is that possible? Can I upgrade my Sense UI from 2.1 to 2.5 without flashing a new ROM?
All I want to do is get the HTC Home weather to update more often that every 3 hours, and I'm reading that you have options to set the update interval in Sense 2.5. So rather than pick a whole new ROM (I'm currently using the Energy ROM v.23504 - think it's the Photon one), can I just upgrade Sense somehow?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

No.
im sure most of manilla files can't be overwritten, therefor they need to be cooked in the rom. we're talking about literally thousands of files.

So... can it be done? I was trying to search through that forum post and it looked like they were talking about having the original WVGA version of the Manila files. Anyone tried it?
This is interesting. I'm curious if it is possible to upgrade/patch the same verison of Manilla/Sense with a newer build.
I am currently running Manilla/Sense 2.5 v192XX but would like to upgrade to at least v20XXX or v23XXX but all responses are too vague to confirm if it is possible to upgrade the version of Manilla/Sense.

Can someone please post a guide to installing TouchFLO 3D 2.5 or 2.6 on a "clean" rom I have Miri's standard 28011 rom and have customized alot in 4 days and do not want to reinstall just to play with TouchFLO 3D. is there a cab or files to copy to do it, or is there a way to dump my current rom 100% and restore it later.

AFAIK nobody has gotten this working for the HD and generally if you want manila you need to flash to a rom with manila cooked in. (I believe it is possible, but as I say I haven't seen it for the HD).
You can use an app like Sprite Backup to do a complete backup of your rom and all settings and if you do want to return to your old rom, just flash back and restore the backup and all is back to as it was.

New roms with wm 6.5 are too slow to use HD in daily jobs.
So I must return to an old wm 6.1 ita rom ...
Now I'd like to install ONLY last version of manila to have new tools in the home screen (weather, progs and so on).
I don't need wm 6.5 and htc messaging, new notifications, tweet, footprints and beautiful but slooooow phone and turbo battery shutdown.
I need only an ITA fast phone and longlife battery.

Sense 2.5 is tied into many of the updates MS put into WM 6.5 - I don't think it can work on WM 6.1, and I haven't seen any 6.1/2.5 roms.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but that was based on the old 2.5 I think, I'll check if I can find it.

PS It is a very old version of 2.5 and you may have trouble getting much of it to work.

My tp2 just came back from repair and when I powered on the device HTC had loaded a New ROM onto it with what look likes Sense 2.5, has anybody else experienced this and does anybody know if the sense 2.5 tweak will work on this version.
BTW, how can I check what version of the Sense UI this is.

you can check by going to: all settings, system, device informtaion, software information and it is under manila version

and the ROM version is 2.07.401.1
This ROM was released a couple of weeks ago. Everyone rejoices that Sense2.5 is now officially supported on Rhodium!
Been using it for a day now and at times manila runs really slowly or the phone crashes and I cant get into any of the manila programs, or back to the home screen. Does anybody know of any tweaks could use to prevent it from slowing down and crashing.
Also are there good home screen task manager seeing as HTC have taken the previous one off.

You could try and download TD2 tools, and increase page filing and such. It increases performance on my stock AT&T ROM. Also, can someone point me in the right direction as to where to download the ROM that you all are talking about, the one with sense 2.5. I'd like the stock 2.5 ROM over a custom one. Thanks alot.

I have Rom: 1.91.531.4 (74508) WWE dated 12/15/09..I find that under Device Information..I have nothing that says software information.
please help?!? I wouldn't mind trying to put Sense 2.5 on here to see what thats all about.

This page will tell you what you have, but unfortunatly it dosent have any information on what version of manila came with it i assuming that it would have been 2.1 as that is the version that was shipped with my original ROM.

You would be best served flashing a new ROM in order to upgrade TF3....and also doing some reading about what versions are available.
There is Manila 2.1 w/sense and Manila 2.5...

Yes there befor years i found a CAB to update only the old Touch FLO with newer version but i don`t remember where is that CAB
Also the best way to feel the diference is to flash new ROM with Latest 2.1 Sense manila

Any recomendation? I prefer a light and fast one, i will charge with the software i like later, but prefer one with the basic OS apps, office, and the latest manila. If its possible , in spanish.

The Fastes ROM from my expirience are NRG ROMs they are not very clear i mean about the APPS but have some usefull apps cooked anyway the ROM is good and fast if you want bug free rom for everyday use and all to be smooth flash NRG 21898 with manila 2.1Sense 30March version and all wil be fine.
its WW rom not Spanish.
This is if you want to have a good ROM just to flash and to go ... if you want a super super faster rom without Manila and etc.. to use it for other i mean for some UI shell then you can flash some really CLEAR rom that is without Manila without Titanium and without APPS.

The cab to update Touchlfo3d is huge if I rememeber and very very very slow and laggy once installed.
Flash to EnergyRom, very quick and stable and beautiful...
