Hello all,
I try to change the homescreen wallpaper through TouchFlo in the Settings tab, some pictures don't work. I finally got it to work but then tried to change it through Window Mobile's option in Home Settings. Now, when the phone boots up as the HTC logo comes on, I see the one I set in WinMo and then it switches to the one I set through HTC. Any ideas why this is happening? And why don't I see some pictures on the wallpaper even though all my photo files are the same format?
Thanks!

When you set the wallpaper in the TF3D menu it over rides the one you set in the windows settings, You will should also see the pic you used in the windows setting as you start menu back ground. The reason you see one and then the other at start up is due to TF3D sitting on top of windows. If you want the start menu and background in TF3D to match you have to set both settings to the same pic. Not to sure why some of your pics are not showing up, sorry

Can anyone tell me how to get the today screen back to the normal windows pocket pc today screen. Orange has put that bar of theirs on the left side of the screen. I have tried a few things to overide it but then it comes back up on the screen. How can I remove it or disable it.....
I want to use some pocket pc programs for the today screen but this orange bar overides the program.
cheers

What have you tried to remove it?
Presumably it's not shown in Settings > Personal > Today?
And \windows\start up?
V
Correct it does not work to disable the Orange Shortcuts Symbols on the Home Screen. I have in the shortcuts Contacts, Phone, Messaging, Calendar, Camera Expert Mode, Orange World on the Shortcuts Bar. I want to completely deactivate or remove it from the HTC. The problem I find is that if you go in the settings menu for today you cannot remove it.
Also when I did a hard reset the first time the screen was like it shows in the Windows Pocket PC Manual with the today screen. Orange seems to have put the overide settings in the rom of the unit when you boot-up the unit to show their tool bar symbols on the today screen.
I would like a an suggestion or fix in getting this removed since if I uses as a example a pocket PC battery program I can have full use of the program on my today screen. Currently the Orange seeting overide these setting to there own.

Tried a hard reset again and went into the today settings. well this time it worked. I quess there was a lockup somwhere in the software. Question is in the items section what is the today timeout check box used for?

Not sure I understand you but if you want to get rid of the Homescreen as Orange calls it go to:
Settings -> Today -> Appearance
and choose the Windows Default theme.
That will give you the standard windows start page.
If you do a search on these forums you will find most of the answers you need, it saves opening new threads all the time.

Hey everyone; So I was just going through and updating all of contacts, customizing settings, etc in my T-Mobile TP2, and when I went back to the home screen my task manager icon (which usually appears at the top right of the screen) was gone! I did multiple soft resets, to no avail; When I open a program the "x" button shows up so i can close it, but if I just want to minimize to the homescreen and switch to a different program (or close other programs running in the background) I'm unable to!
Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone know the fix???? This is a pretty crucial feature, otherwise I can never multi-task!
Thanks in advance.
Two more things that might help? 1. I'm using the stock T-Mobile US ROM, and 2. Is there somewhere I can go in the registry to turn it back on?
Either that, or maybe a custom bar along the top that will re-enable that icon?
Thanks.......
I figured it out... Going back through the settings again, I found that in Settings > Task Manager > "Button" tab, I had unchecked "Enable Quick Menu on Today screen", thinking that it was only an option that applied to the Windows Today screen that was just taking up background resources (since Im using the TouchFlo 3D interface)...
Sorry! Hope this can be used as a reference to anyone else having this problem, though!
Anyone else having problems getting items to appear on the Today screen?
I am having some trouble getting things to appear on the Today screen. If I go to Start, Settings, Today and then to the Items tab, that is suppose to be where you can check things off that you want to appear on the Today screen. I check some things off like Skyfire, Wunderradio, etc and then click OK on the top right corner. But when I go back to the today screen, the items dont appear. If I go back to the settings, nothing is checked anymore.
Also, Ive seen some people have Weather appear on their today screen. Example, "Sun" kinda right in front of their clock. I see no option for Weather to appear on Today screen.
There is one option checked when you return:
TouchFlo
So you have to uncheck this one to activate others.
ahhh ok. That did it. Not quite what I hoped itd be. I was hoping for keeping my the original clock and what not but I guess you have to use custom themes/skins for that.
Thanks
somehow i accidently changed the home screen and i cant return it back to the default screen, which has the icons of the different categories. i have tried all the different settings ann cant find anywhere to change it back. on the home screen it has calendar and contacts on the bottom and i can add other categories on top but it goes into list style without icons. can anyone help, without me having to do a hard reset? i cant even do a soft reset because going to settings where it used to allow me to choose all settings it now goes straight the icons where i cant find soft reset option.
It sounds like (not sure from your description) you have TouchFLO/Sense showing, but want the default Titanium Home screen.
Try going to Start>Settings>Today>Items and uncheck TouchFLO or Sense.
thank you for response
i have touchpro2 and sense is not checked in items. as far as what titanium screen is , i dont know what that is. the screen i want back is the screen you see on every touchpro2 you see online, background with icons to choose from, easily change items, weather , and the bar on the bottom that you can slidt e left or right for different tasks. now it is just the word calendar on left bottom and contacts on right bottom
I understood you backwards. You want Sense checked. Then click OK.
Sense is the HTC-made interface/home screen. If you check "Windows Default" instead, you will get Titanium home screen (the "standard" home screen for Windows Mobile). Right now, you actually have neither.
From the lock screen, when I drag any of the camera, phone, or email apps into the ring it opens the appropriate app as I would expect. However when I drag the messages icon into the ring it only unlocks the phone and brings me to my default home screen.
Is this right or is something broken on my end? I have tried to send messages and see if it would work when I had an unread message. It worked at least once and opened messages, but 99% of the time it just unlocks?
Appreciate any feedbak, the ROM is awesome, love it, and this is a tiny issue or question!
Thanks!
Have you placed a different app there then put "Messages" back onto the lock screen shortcuts?
Thanks, adding another, then readding messages seems to have fixed it.
Appreciate the response!
Just to add the app just needs to be remapped, you don't have to change to another and then back, it just doesn't seem to point to the correct one to begin with. My default home screen shortcut didn't work either.
As a noob, it took me a while to find where to change the lockscreen setting. KrisPeezy pointed it out in the development thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1267158&page=193 "menu-personalize-display-lock screen shortcuts"
Figured I'd add it here for anyone else who needs it.
