[rom] Need faster

hello, need fastest rom for Hermes because I installed a lot longer roms but they are terribly slow and delay the work phone. Sorry for my English.
Now i using DarkVision 4
DV 4.0 is really fast IMHO, maybe try DV5 (its still beta, but stable)
i suggest u to use Mrdsl's rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=543842
wm 6.5 with manilla..
Problem isn't the ROMs, Its the hardware... Hermes was a brilliant piece of hardware in its time but, and I'm sorry to say this, its almost hit the obsolete heap...
Too little ram is a MAJOR pain for this phone. Otherwise it would still hold its own with a fair number of the newer HTC's on the market.
Unfortunately its this that is causing a large number of chefs to move on to newer devices. I would give the Hermes about 12 - 18 months before there will be no more new ROMs.
12-18 month?? Great!
Until then, i can play and test again with your great 6.5-Roms, maybe 7.0 Roms. Or back to the good old 6.1 Rom with many, many UI-posibillities, for example rlToday, TodayPlus, and all that good fast stable stuff...

you can't compare it - it strongly depends on the HS++ skin you choose.
thanks for this answer of my offtopic-question. I'm reading all day long in the developing subforum. There are several Theme-Threads of HS++, I'm afraid to say no one "Collecton-of-all-Theme-Links-Thread". But I found an interesting alternative to homescreen++: ThrottleLauncher. Yes, UI-search and customizing with hundreds of themes is very time-consuming...
I'm testing right now your ROM, interesting ROM, but sadly find some bugs (~10). Maybee tomorrow I'll write some of them into your thread.
bye.
I agree with Ultramag... i will keep some bucks to buy a nicer device but... i will wait till end of this year to have a nicer view about the sanpdragon processor and high ress and screen, 3.5 audiojack and so much RAM!!!

as long as our cooks stick with wm 6.5 u wont see any "fast" roms in the future
our hermes hardware is limited now...6.5 isnt the OS thats made for it. i still prefer 6.1 over 6.5, cuz they are better/faster/ more stable for daily use.

No - RAM is built-in into the whole Hermes' SoC - so it's not possible.

yeah i tried a lot, thats why i have this opinion
even your dark vision one. it looks fine...like all the others but its not usable for "me". too laggy after some use (internet, telephon, calender, etc...) and i dont want to softreset my phone everyt time i used a prog or two. i did the same things as on 6.1 and it behaves more weird, so i always went back to 6.1 after a 6.5 flash.
maybe im too fuzzy.
but hey, thats my opinion, my experience with that, tho.

There has already been too many threads on ROM comparison, please read those and not make anymore new thread.
Anyway, it is all about personal preferrence. No ROM is beter than any other ROM.

You should test them and see which one fullfil your needs, it wouldn't take so long. Just try them for a couple of days and probably you will make up your mind with either one of them
My two cents..In my experience, Love is better than 3vo overall ...maybe not so many bells and whistles, but speed, battery life and stability count for me.
Just to clarify, I did not try the latest release of 3vo..
Anyway, jump from one rom to another tooks no so much time, so the best judgement will be done by yourself...alll the cooked roms available are great jobs and deserve a shot
As others already suggested...
It's all personal preference what one person likes another may not, find the ROM that best suites your need, there's not that many and a couple of days will find it

The end of the Trinity ROM developement

With the introduction of the 6.5 ROM, we all know that this rom is to heavy for the trinity user. Realisiticly seen we are left with the 6.1. So. The question that are arises, is there anyone here that is able to cook a good, quality, stable rom that is clean, has touchflow extracted from 6.5 and with uptodate software, kinda like the tytnn rom or the flinx one.
are you blind? there are nice working and fast WM6.5 roms out there, i'm using one myself so... pointless topic.

- the only problem is my battery, after 2 years of really hard working now I'm really thinking about changing it!!
those 6.5 roms are slow on the trinity devices. Let's be honest. If you break the 6.5 down and strip it off, then it runs with poor memory. Conclusion? Trinity will not be able to take the 6.5 fully.

there is not much free memory, we can trim down any rom and make it as small as we want. But can we make 6.5 so that it has a lot of free memory? No.
little reflection
trinity is a very very good device!!!
but last period roms have recentely become beautiful and heavy for our little jewel.
Unfortunately, the development of this work no longer leads to great satisfaction as before
I thank all the heroes - cooks who have allowed us to see with interest our device for several years without tiring us.

I don't know about you, but seems to me this is plenty of free RAM. It's even more than some of the older builds. There will be more updates to come still, just working out bugs on the latest builds.

yes I agree withbguys about 6.5 is too heavy to be honest and u can't run programs need a lot of memory or need a cpu preformane ...
I'm wondring about if this radio rom is spending battery 1.38.00.11 cuz I'm running out of battery so fast when I'm using internet and if there's a better one how I can change it cuz I tried too many times to change and didn't work
i just tried the 23504 Blue. It's slow. . . I keep on returning to finx latest rom with adjusted page pool settings. This rom is pretty fast, stable and has sufficient ram. If anybody is convinced trinity can handle 6.5 like that. Show me.
i also tried 6.5 and went back to 6.1.
Sure you can use 6.5 but it's slower, no matter how lite the version is. Start installing some stuff (specially recent versions which are also heavier) and everything feels even slower.
Nowadays no one produces software thinking about how it will run on our old trinity.
I'm even considering going back to 6.0 to see if i can get some more speed, don't think i'll be missing much from 6.1 anyway.
I'm currently on tomme45i's 6.1 which is a very good rom but it is also a bit slower (and buggier, imho) than finx's.
well, i'm using a 6.1 rom from tommie45, for me, it's the better rom i have ever try!!!
i dont know how, but his roms are the most stable and complete for trinity. it's my opinion!
i gave up on tommie45's rom and got back to finix 3.7.2.
It's not as pretty (b&w icons, uglier in general) and some functionality is less practical but... it feels much faster!
I recommend doing the same if the rom you are using feels slow.
Im using SuperSport WM6.5 build 23506 LITE and there hasn't been so much problems with it, but I can agree, 6.1 is faster, but the pro's in this rom is to many for me to use 6.1...
If I find the thread I'll put the link to it here.

wifi work? video call? bluetooth?
yeah it's a shame right? 3 years ago this phone was at the pinnacle of mobile communications, and today omg there's so many other things out there

[Q] Which ROM should I use? What's the best ROM?

I want to try to determine what is the best rom 2.09 Froyo - based for HTC Desire.
In the last week I've tried a large number of ROMs. I've really liked 2 of these:
- Roufianos V6 (It's the one that I'm using at the moment)
- OpenDesire 3.0.4 (I know that the 3.0.5 is out but I haven't tried it yet)
Obviously there are many other excellent rom but I haven't got the time to try them, such as:
- Alex V1.1 official OTA cooked by Paul from MoDaCo (I've not tried it yet but I thing it is good)
- Lambros Custom Rom r3.1 --- I've tried it: in my opinion it's the best. Very fast, stable, no problem, no crashes. The chef always helps you and give you what you ask him! Fantastic! (link hxxp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=745447 )
- Pays-ROM
- Others....
Well, I don't know what is better.... can you help me choosing a ROM please?
If you thing that there are better ROMs instead of the ones that I've written, please tell me about them.
Thanks to all.

IMO this comes down to the "SENSE UI",
you wanna have SENSE and all the HTC bells and whistles? LeeDroid 1.8 or Neophyte NextSense 4.0
you don´t give a damn about SENSE (like me)? OpenDesire 3.0.5 is just AWESOME.
Both options are really good but it´s a question of personal preference I think.

has Leedroid gotten rid of the SD card bug now? i found a lot of bugs with 1.7 in fact i would go as far to say it was the worst rom i have tried (and i have flashed nearly all within the last 2 weeks.
i use neophyte nextsense aswell its v good. i haven't used a non-sense rom since the defrost one which was using the nexus froyo (back in june i think).
however from looking at the 'post your screenshots' thread in the themes and apps section i'm tempted to go back to non-sense as some of the roms and mods make it look really cool.

Neophyte 1.6. You will not go wrong. If you think those other roms are good, you will ejaculate in your pants with a neo Rom. I think that first neophyte Rom comes down to a fluke of nature. His latest Rom nextsense is good and I enjoy playing. But the occasional bug. Still better than anything else I believe.
I prefer modaco official version.
Neophyte 1.6 as said. You will not find a more stable or better ROM imo.

What about the battery? How often do you have to charge the phone? In every rom I've tried the battery sucks!
as for the battery i think you can't compare it just right when you flash the rom....myself i do one full charging cycle and then rate a rom's battery life in order to get the full idea....
flash the rom, charge it till 100% (unplug before discharge) and then see how it does

hi lambrospower. I am just downloading your rom and will give it a try mate. Going back to your battery comment, this is a question that i have been thinking about for some time, but never got around to asking anyone, i hope you may know the answer for me? Since i have had my desire (3 months) the only way that i have ever charged it is with USB. Maybe once i have done a full charge with the 240v adaptor, the rest of the time it is plugged into my PC either charging or as a disk drive, my question is, will that make a difference to my overall battery performance? because i havent been charging it with the mains adaptor will my battery be "weaker" than a person that has always used the in-wall charger? I seem to get really bad battery life with most roms that i have tried (and believe me, i have tried a lot!!) yesterday i went out for a few hours, around 3 hours, battery was at 100% when i left, 3 hours later 55%!! now in my eyes that is a hell of a lot of decrease...... This was with NeYophyTeNexTSense rom (but i cant fault NeYo, he is a good chef, hats off to the lad, this is why i think its me thats either doing something wrong (settings) or it is in fact a battery problem??
Hi guys, I really like OpenDesire, but it's stock Google ROM (or based thereon) so it's got no FM Radio functionality. A question to all users of stock ROMs: how do you guys cope with the absence of an FM Radio knowing that hardware-wise your Desire supports it but the software does not have it? As for me personally, I've been tilting back and forth between OpenDesire-like ROMs and SenseUI-like ROMs, and it's still bugs me. On the one hand, I love the stock ROM for its cleanliness and overall looks (without Sense bells & whistles), but that I don't have the FM radio keeps bugging me like hell. Can anyone share their experiences?

Best ROM?... You decide which is best for you... err your friend... Go http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1029318 to see them listed.
Enjoy!
Tell us a bit about what kind of experience does your friend need?
Speed? Customization? Stability?
he has the stock rom on his phone... i think he wants a full fixed rom with more smooth and speed than stock! thanks!
ps. what's the way to flash rom on this phone? =)
Well, everything is better than stock, believe me! It's a matter of choice, but more ppl prefer Cyanogen, because it's a who organisation of developers and many hours of hard work behind it, it sure is pretty complete. I'd suggest taht, but he shoudl check out all of the available roms, as danny said, it's a matter of choice.
First of all, you have to decide if you want Sence rom or something else.
The best sence rom is probably RemPuzzleRom, its faster, but it looks nearly the same as stock.
other good option is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1458749 i've tried it and it is really fast and stable, looks like vanilla android 2.3.7, there is also stock android launcher.
Cyanogen is also really great rom. Fast, stable and customization is the best.
If you want something on the edge. I'm using CM9 right now. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1473344 I thing it is pretty usable, but there might be still some bugs.
