Hi all,
I just bought a bluetooth 2.1 usb micro adapter for my PC. I would like to activesync my Excalibur with my PC. So far, I am able to transfer file from PC to phone and vice versa. However, I am unable to use activesync. The bluetooth from the phone has COM6 and COM7, but my PC only has COM 1, 2, and 3. Anyone know how to make this work, please advice.
Thanks,

Help why my activesync cant connect with my PPC?
Thanks
Did you use xp sp2 and activesync 4?
I used to have ActiveSync 4.0 problems too... Device manager detected the device but failed to install driver.
In my case it started working once I swaped the cradle's USB connector to another USB jack with the PDA in the cradle.
Windows XP found the "new" device and installed properly this time... Now I can Synch fine through USB.
Also some say that you need to change something on you PPC, so go to Start/Settings/Conenctions/Network Cards and select "Remote-NDIS Host" and change it to "Server-assigned IP address" and then Ok, Ok, Ok...
I hope this helps you...

o2 Exec running the iMate ROM, when I start the Wireless Modem, it displays 'COM OPEN ERROR' instantly, as if it cannot access a COM port.
Is there a setting I need to change, by the way this is without the device connected to the PC, and therefore is not to do with the USB port being used by ActiveSync
It is probably due to something using the port. Do you have GPS software running? Simply resetting the unit may fix it. You can also download a task manager here: http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/TaskMgr/
Kill off some processes and see if that opens the ports up.
Delete all com ports under bluetooth set-up.
hi will someone be kind enough to upload the usb modem drivers as I don't have my cd with me and need to download the drives to my exec then transfer them to my laptop and then get connected,

Hi there.
So I'm currently aware that you can use your PC as a handsfree for your mobile phone if you connect your phone to your PC via Bluetooth and use WIDCOMM stack to run the connection. However, I am hoping there is a way that this same thing can be done via USB. I have a headset connected via USB and my phone connected via USB [cradle] .
Any help is greatly appreciated as I do not want to have to get a bluetooth dongle.
Cheers.
