I just flashed stock R3A010 rom mostly because of speed and battery life, I was using Valkyrie before, but now I miss some things like rhodium dialer and better camera (especially flash working as a flash, and not always lighting).
So if anyone can point me in the directions of rhodium dialer and latest camera for stock roms ,in a CAB format, I would appreciate it.
Search didn`t help me cause dialer was on rapid share and link is too old.

Hi all guys,
I tried some HD Manila ROMs and they are really so fast and attractive, esp. the Stock Tab.! However I found some small probs. like the pictures showed under the Camera Tag. are always too big than Diamond original Manila. Is there any solutions? or, it should be like this due to the resolution or the size of screen?
Also, many ROMs cant be compatible with many apps. like my local input apps.

I'm loving NFSFAN's new Bell ROM, but i'm not crazy about the slide to answer on the phone canvas.
I'm looking for a way to replace the slide to answer / ignore with buttons instead of a slider while keeping everything else the same.
I've researched different skins for this dialer (there are some cool looking ones out there!!) but none of these change the slider.
Any help would be appreciated.

I've now been using NFSFAN's ROM for a few days now.
Must say i've gotten quite used to the dialer. I like all of the other features. Especially the "in call curtain". While i'm still not in love with slide to answer I understand the concept of why it was created. If I want to press a button that's what the hardware key is for!!
I wasn't really looking for a new dialer, but i've learnt the slide is an integral part of the package.

In NFSFAN's words, the data connection is not active during a call, it just breaks the data errors.
The dialer is included in his ROM, i'm not really sure if the same one is found anywhere in CAB format. A quick google search for "opal slide to answer CDMA" should yield some results for you.

i spoke too sooon... i installed the complete cab by mbarvian and then tried juggaloo's cab but it was for VGA graphics, i tried mbarvian and conflippers cab but that messed up everything...
just mbarvians cab - didn't display the incall screen properly.... it was all greyed out...
now i can't find a single good cab which displays everything like it should... i don't want to do any more trial and error and find out... please help me on this ...
i dont mind not having the canvas - atleast i get a bigger picture on caller screen and thats all i want right now...
I know s2u2 has a large picture to answer the phone with.
I don't use it anymore, I found it drained my battery too fast. With NFSFAN's rom and the opal dialer it isn't really needed anyways.
Sorry none of the links led to anything fruitful, my only experience with this dialer is in the custom ROM. Must say it has grown on me though!!

I've been using this on my Sprint Touch for months now with out any issues. Here's a link for a post I have up at PPCGeeks for you to check out . Please let me know if you have any problems. If you don't want the lock feature, don't install Albert's cab...

I had trouble getting the dialer to work initially also. It seemed to be tied to the rom build that something changed after the 20XXX rom build was released. If I used anything earlier it wouldn't work. If your on a stock rom that may be part of the issue. Not sure, but just my experience in fixing the issue.
It is tied to a shell component.

Hey thanks for the reply NFSFAN, the slide to answer was the only part of your ROM that I didn't really like......at first. I couldn't imagine going back to the old dialer now.
It is good to learn what's possible and what's not though, thanks again for the answer.

Codes don't work for me on the verizon beta rom. Is it just me or do you have to use the folder rather than the dialer?

I tried it and its working, but its not much better than default camera app. Adds few options but removes zoom option.

It does. I'm using it on Stock Orange HD.
One thing to note is the orientation of the pictures is messed up, so when you view in Album it shows portrait instead of landscape etc... If you could rotate in HTC Album then it wouldn't be a problem, any suggestions out there for a batch picture rotating tool? Otherwise I'll code one myself...
As probably most of you know, the LEO or HTC HD2 had an issue with the images taken by the camera. HTC has released a fix today. This fix means an enhancement in the quality of the photos. Some guy, have made a cab, the orginal exe file provided by HTC was not able to be installed on our HTC HD, but the cab made by this guy yes...
So I have installed the cab in my device -after a back up of course-, then I have made a soft reset and once the device has rebooted I have started to use my camera. For me, but maybe is just a placebo effect, the photos taken after the installation seems to be much better, a great quality improvement has been noted by me, and also the video seems to have a faster response.
But as this fix was intended to the LEO maybe is just a placebo effect and not a real effect. I have to comment that I am using one of the new roms based on LEO. So I do not know how this fix will work on an stock rom. Just make a back up. Just in case.

Has anyone tested it on WM6.1 Roms? or will it work on Roms based on Leo's Rom only??
I have official rom from htc and camera fix works great. Images are better and it has additional options.
But first time I started camera picture was out of screen but it fixed it self by it self after couple of seconds.

Just tried this on my 6.5 cooked leo ROM, there is a definate difference, the camera does seem a little quicker and the image is more crisp with more Gamma and contrast.

Here are the images, it occurred to me though as a different focus area was chosen in each image the white balance could have caused this changed, perhpas someone else could have a go.
Tried it on my HD with stock rom,I thought it was a marked difference,thanks for that.

Works beautifully on imagio. Seriously, words can't describe the increased level of functionality of the camera on this device. I wouldn't bring my phone out to take pictures before because of the 10 seconds it takes for the autofocus to work, but this thread has shown me light. Under two seconds autofocus and shutter now. Fantastico.
Does anyone know what registry values this cab installs or writes? I would like to try it on an HD Clone. Ideally, it would be nice to know what changes are made to the registry.

Open the cab with winrar or something similar then just read the xml with a text reader, it's all there for you.

Thanks. I extracted that file and renamed it as a DOC file. I can see only one Registry change:

Everything else seems to be installs of DLL files and some data run statements. I kind of hoped to see or know more about any other Reg changes as some of the keys are different on Clones.

using it on duttys leo 6.5 rom and its definately speeded up the camera shot, there is still motion blur but I guess its improved and now I can take photos quicker before my son moves.
About the audio in video recording?

Which phone canvas do you use for WM6.5.5?
I have found only those working solution:
Huashan_Phone_Canvas_Enhancement_5_0_61220152721_0
but this canvas has a dialler id issue (no visibility of Caller for incoming call)
or
pyrorob_Phone_Canvas_Enhancement_2G_4_2_62120113_VGA_FOR_6.5.x
wrong position according to soft bar and no support for video call.
Actually the most important file from those canvas is phcanhtc.dll. If I replace this file from one to one I change also issue of those two canvas...
is there anyone who solved this problem? Or do you have any other advice for phone canvas supporting video call with right position?

don't know if video calling works, but as phone canvases go i think Iconsoft Phone Extension is probably the best (isn't free though). it's fast, looks good, doesn't eat up memory an procesor like htc canvas....
15$ is a bit pricey, but works as advertised.
