Task manager and button programmer - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Hi, I've got a Tilt 2 with the latest E2 rom. I'm looking for a program that will let me program some of the buttons for long press and an task manager to launch with a press. Many custom roms have some program that will let you select active programs or kill them plus program say the send key to activate the app..I'm having trouble finding those to install.
Any help with this?
Thanks.

Hard reset on the wizard.

Yesterday I installed the following .cab on my wizard:
http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=1137
When I finished the insallation my qtek was freezed. And it did not function any more....
I really want to do a hard reset but my phone can't connect to active sync anymore....
Does anyone have a solution for this problem???
Thank you in advance.....
If the device wont boot any more, the only thing you can really do is a full reset.
I assume you've already tried a reset?
That is the problem.... my device cant connect to active sync aymore... and I dont know another way to do a full reset...
You should have the clearstorage program on your phone. Run that, and it'll hard reset you. There's a button combination as well to do the same, but I don't have a wizard to tell you it. Check the wiki or use search.
V
- Switch off your device
- Press and hold the Comm Manager and Voice Dial button
- Switch on your device (while holding those 2 buttons)
- Press the Send (green button) key to give it a hard-reset.
Good luck.

Use free Celetask with IE hotkey

Celetask is supercool task manager:
Include New Task, Close task, Switch Task and View Task Properties.
Start any application through command line.
CeleTask can also execute any menu command in command line.
Include Terminate Process, View Process Modules, Properties.
Tool box with full customization support. Include Power Status, Memory Status, Free Memory, Reboot System, Shutdown System, etc.
Hot Key Customization
User can assign a hot key for any command.
All this with one press the Internet button
I use Internet button to start the Celetask and I set the hotkey of Celetask to shutdown all apps with another press of Internet button. I use "8 button" to clean the ram. And that how with 3 clicks I close all aps and clean the memory
The "1" button I use for soft restart.
To use this task manager with hotkey just download the attachment end copy two files in WINDOWS folder.
I see this in Kavana new 6.1 ROM, but you can use it in all other ROMS.

No problem, and you can try CeleCmd,it's also a good software,it help me do everything (install cab, create shortcut, input reg,and so on)after cold boot,my rom is also base on CeleCmd
I try it, but nowhere i can find documentation in English .
Can you attach the CeleTask last version in English now?
this is a great proggie. i've used it to create a shortcut to soft reset. the only problem is that it asks me to confirm i want to restart the phone. there's probably a way to bypass this, but i've not figured it out.
anyone know if there's a way to use celetask to restart the phone without a confirmation message?
Yes:
Menu-->Options-->Show Alert
Just remove the check and Celetask will make everything without questions.
Now I have a question:
how to make a hotkey with Celetask to start anoother program.
I see I can add programs to tools but can connect hotkey to them
i have the opposite question littleclown...
for some reason activesync is in my celetask and i don't want it there. there's no reason for it to start at startup. at least i don't think it's necessary anyway. it fires up just fine on it's own when i plug it into the computer.
i can't seem to get it removed from the program list in celetask.
can anyone fill me in on the trick?
Fake server for Activesync
The following info comes from Aximsite
1. open the Activesync program.
2. Select Menu at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. This will bring up the Options Menu. Notice the option Schedule... is greyed out? This is the all-critical option we need to get access to. But as it's disabled we can't change Activesync's default synchronisation schedule.
Ok, so how do we enable the Schedule option? Easy!!! Fool Activesync into thinking there is an Exchange Server to sync with:
1. From Activesync's Menu select Add Server Source.
2. In the following screens you can enter any old garbage. It does not matter, but just in case your unsure, just type the following in the indicated boxes:
Server Address: fake
Tap Next
User name: fake
Password: fake
Domain: fake
(Select save password or going into the Advanced menu makes no difference, so no need to bother).
Next
Untick all of the 'Data you want to synchronise' options
Tap Finish
3. Ok, we're done creating the server. You should now see in Activesync's main screen your normal Activesync connection(s), and a new connection called Exchange Server.
4. Go back into the Menu, and lo and behold the Schedule option is now enabled! Go ahead and tap it!
5. You will see that both options in the Schedule screen are set to Every X Minutes.
6. Using the drop downs, change both the Peak times and Off-peak times boxes to Manually.
7. Press the OK button.
Now
1. Go back into Activesync's Menu, then Tap Options.
2. Highlight Exchange Server, then tap Delete. A warning message will appear about removing files etc, but as you have no files associated with the fake Exchange Server, it's nothing to worry about - just tap Ok.
3. The list will now only show your remaining PC Sync connection(s).
I did and Activesync stop starting automatically, however after you connect with your PC you need to close Activesync with Celetask
thanks!
unfortunately it didn't work.
i'm trying something else. will report back.

remap home key to START BUTTON?

I have a tmobile TP2 and would like my home button to act as a Windows button like all the other tp2s...... Any way to do this?
Ive searched but to no avail...... Thanks
Install the GSM version of this and SDKcerts (both at the link). Then, reboot, go to Start>Settings>System>Keyboard Config. When you get there, go to Menu>Add Key, and press the home key. Then, for "Action", set it to "Emulate Key Press", and scroll all the way down to "91 Left Win Key", and select that. Hit okay, and then hit Update Config. You may need to reboot, but otherwise, that should work.

In my Vodafone stock Rom, the "Windows" Hard Key pointed at the list of installed programs rather than the Deepshining rom which points at the windows folders. Can I use this app (or any other) to check it's function back again ?

Unlock extra tools in manila comm manager

with any registy editor got to
HKLM/Software/HTC/CommManager
Change the string SupportedFunctions from default 6 to 10.
soft reset and your done
adds the following to your comm manager...
Ringer (change to vibrate mode)
Internet Sharing (launch Internet Sharing)
Beam (Turn off/on)
ActiveSync (launch acvtivesync)
Didn't work for me?
I saw your post and decided to take a look.
Mine was set to 8 already (on/off buttons) I changed to 10 and reset.
Upon boot I got an error and it wouldnt load Comm Manager. Set back to 8 and worked fine.
May be an issue with custom ROM perhaps. What ROM are you using?
I have what I need on my Comm Manager so I don't care.
im running stock sprint 6.1 ..try using advanced config. under menu go to more settings, comm manager and check off whichever u'd like 10 of them tho. click the upper rite hand ok then done and soft reset. try and see if that works

Any custom task manager zip for Fire OS?

Is there a flashable zip that can be made without rooting and with TWRP Recovery? Since the Fire OS doesn't have a task manager, I was thinking if there's any possibility of creating a key remap of the menu button for a task manager. Xposed Edge doesn't count since there's no way of implementing a task manager to close apps without having to force close the applications in settings.
You can try Fast Task Killer.
