Celetask is supercool task manager:
Include New Task, Close task, Switch Task and View Task Properties.
Start any application through command line.
CeleTask can also execute any menu command in command line.
Include Terminate Process, View Process Modules, Properties.
Tool box with full customization support. Include Power Status, Memory Status, Free Memory, Reboot System, Shutdown System, etc.
Hot Key Customization
User can assign a hot key for any command.
All this with one press the Internet button
I use Internet button to start the Celetask and I set the hotkey of Celetask to shutdown all apps with another press of Internet button. I use "8 button" to clean the ram. And that how with 3 clicks I close all aps and clean the memory
The "1" button I use for soft restart.
To use this task manager with hotkey just download the attachment end copy two files in WINDOWS folder.
I see this in Kavana new 6.1 ROM, but you can use it in all other ROMS.

this is a great proggie. i've used it to create a shortcut to soft reset. the only problem is that it asks me to confirm i want to restart the phone. there's probably a way to bypass this, but i've not figured it out.
anyone know if there's a way to use celetask to restart the phone without a confirmation message?
Yes:
Menu-->Options-->Show Alert
Just remove the check and Celetask will make everything without questions.
Now I have a question:
how to make a hotkey with Celetask to start anoother program.
I see I can add programs to tools but can connect hotkey to them
i have the opposite question littleclown...
for some reason activesync is in my celetask and i don't want it there. there's no reason for it to start at startup. at least i don't think it's necessary anyway. it fires up just fine on it's own when i plug it into the computer.
i can't seem to get it removed from the program list in celetask.
can anyone fill me in on the trick?
Fake server for Activesync
The following info comes from Aximsite
1. open the Activesync program.
2. Select Menu at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. This will bring up the Options Menu. Notice the option Schedule... is greyed out? This is the all-critical option we need to get access to. But as it's disabled we can't change Activesync's default synchronisation schedule.
Ok, so how do we enable the Schedule option? Easy!!! Fool Activesync into thinking there is an Exchange Server to sync with:
1. From Activesync's Menu select Add Server Source.
2. In the following screens you can enter any old garbage. It does not matter, but just in case your unsure, just type the following in the indicated boxes:
Server Address: fake
Tap Next
User name: fake
Password: fake
Domain: fake
(Select save password or going into the Advanced menu makes no difference, so no need to bother).
Next
Untick all of the 'Data you want to synchronise' options
Tap Finish
3. Ok, we're done creating the server. You should now see in Activesync's main screen your normal Activesync connection(s), and a new connection called Exchange Server.
4. Go back into the Menu, and lo and behold the Schedule option is now enabled! Go ahead and tap it!
5. You will see that both options in the Schedule screen are set to Every X Minutes.
6. Using the drop downs, change both the Peak times and Off-peak times boxes to Manually.
7. Press the OK button.
Now
1. Go back into Activesync's Menu, then Tap Options.
2. Highlight Exchange Server, then tap Delete. A warning message will appear about removing files etc, but as you have no files associated with the fake Exchange Server, it's nothing to worry about - just tap Ok.
3. The list will now only show your remaining PC Sync connection(s).
I did and Activesync stop starting automatically, however after you connect with your PC you need to close Activesync with Celetask
thanks!
unfortunately it didn't work.
i'm trying something else. will report back.

I have succeeded in:
- downloading the Foxtel Mobile TV Guide
- making it work on my HTC Touch HD
- stopping it from prompting me for "permissions" every time it runs.
- creating a direct shortcut to the application
This allows me to send remote-record instructions to my Foxtel iQ2 set top box, just like on the "supported" handsets, such as the Nokia N95.
(I've cross-posted this information to an existing thread on forums.whirlpool.net.au, where there are probably more Aussies asking about it. But I thought I should also post here, because xda-developers has more people interested in adjusting permissions in Jbed's "selector.utf".)
The following worked with Jbed 20080418.2.1 on the HTC Touch HD. I am not entirely sure whether that is the version which came on my handset originally, but if you have a problem with the version you're using, you can try to find the version I'm using via a Google/forum search.
Step 1. Register for the Foxtel TV Guide on your computer, and make sure it's working from a normal PC browser:
https://www.foxtel.com.au/EPG/EPG.aspx
Step 2. Send the text message "Guide" to 19 955 955 from the handset, as per the instructions at the following webpage:
http://www.foxtel.com.au/mobile/get-started.htm
(Cost: $0.55 according to that web page.)
You will shortly receive an SMS message with a URL to download the software, but if you try to download it on your handset, you will probably get an error message saying that your handset is unsupported.
Step 3. Change a web browser's "agent string" to match one of the supported handsets' agent string, then use the URL on the SMS message to download the software.
I used Firefox, and changed my agent string to:
Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.2; U; Series60/3.1 NokiaN95_8GB/10.0.021; Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 ) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413
as quoted on the following web page:
http://www.leytonjay.co.uk/internet...kia-n95-8gb-user-agent-string-default-browser
Using the instructions on this page:
http://johnbokma.com/mexit/2004/04/24/changinguseragent.html
(I removed the "general.useragent.override" setting afterwards, to change Firefox back to normal.)
The file you download will be a ".jad" file.
Step 4. Copy the ".jad" file onto the handset, using ActiveSync, etc.
Step 5. On the handset, run the Jbed "Java" program, and choose Menu->Install->Local Files to locate the .jad file, and install it.
At this stage, you have installed the Foxtel Mobile TV Guide, but you might not be able to use it. On the HTC Touch HD, you do not have any built-in keyboard, or any directional buttons, and something needs to be done to work around it.
Step 6. If you don't have a directional pad on your pocket pc, then install a utility to re-map your volume buttons to fulfil the role of the directional pad. I installed AE-Button Plus, and used the following settings for my HTC Touch HD:
Volume Up:
1: Press Up arrow key
2: Press Left arrow key
3: Press Enter
Long: Press Left SoftKey
Volume Down:
1: Press Down arrow key
2: Press Right arrow key
3: Press Enter
Long: Press Right SoftKey
You may choose to use a different utility, as long as you can access up/down/left/right/enter and have a "hardware" way of accessing the soft-keys, which will be invisible.
http://ae.inc.ru/aebplus.php
Step 7. Run "Java" and launch the "Foxtel TV Guide" application. You will probably need to give it several permissions manually, because we haven't done anything about that, yet.
In order to perform a "remote record", you will need to enter your Foxtel TV Guide user guide and password, the same as for the normal web browser interface. But, Jbed won't let you access a SIP, and if you might not have a physical keyboard. You will need to use some software to control your handset from your PC.
I used EveryWAN Remote Support Personal Edition 3.0:
http://www.sparus-software.com/spip.php?page=download&lang=en
In the Foxtel Java application, press the Left SoftKey, to bring up the "Actions" menu. You can do this via your remote control program, or use your remapped buttons. Choose "Settings", then "Account Settings".
Now you have to enter your Foxtel username and password using the remote control software as a keyboard. However, it's not as simple as typing "a", "b", "c", etc. The application expects you to ONLY use digit keys, like on a simple phone. So, for "a" you might press "2" once, "b" = hit "2" twice in quick succession, etc. It's a pain, but you should only have to do it once, and it'll remember your settings.
By this stage, you should be able to launch and control the Foxtel Mobile TV Guide with your remapped buttons, and because you've entered your username and password, you can ask your iQ/iQ2 to record something from your phone, and it'll do it.
IF you want to get rid of the annoying prompts for permission on startup: (technical, and your mileage may vary)
Step 8. Find the files "selector.utf" on your handset, and copy it to your PC. Mine is in \Esmertec Java\AppDb, but yours might be in \Windows\AppDb. Make backups, both on your PC and on your handset, in case you do something wrong.
Step 9. Download a Hex editor for your PC, and edit "selector.utf".
I used "HexEdit":
http://www.physics.ohio-state.edu/~prewett/hexedit/
The first two bytes of the file determine exactly how many bytes follow. My file was 397 bytes long, so the first two bytes were "01 8B" = 395. The first two bytes don't count. The java program should be happy with "selector.utf" as long as the correct length is given.
The Foxtel application is installed with a setting/line "domain=midp1", but we need to change it to "domain=tckmax". That's exactly one byte longer, so, use your hex editor to increase the length by 1. In my case, that meant changing the first two bytes from "01 8B" to "01 8C".
Save and exit.
Next, open the file up with a normal editor. Hopefully you can use notepad, but I used "vi", which may not be available on your computer. Change "domain=midp1" to "domain=tckmax", save, and exit.
Step 10. Overwrite "selector.utf" on your handset with your edited version, and run Java again, and launch the Foxtel TV Guide application. Hopefully, it will now run without prompting you for any permission any more.
Step 11. You can make a direct shortcut to the Foxtel TV Guide application if you like, so you don't have to run "Java" and then select it manually any more. If you look at "selector.utf" again, there is a parameter "root=XXXX". In my case, the Foxtel TV Guide root is "s2_". It depends on which order you install your Java applications.
Using Resco File Explorer, copy the Java shortcut from \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\ and create a link "Foxtel" in the same directory. Then, tap-and-hold on it and choose "Properties", then the "Shortcut" tab. In the "target" field, append the string:
-run XXXX
where XXXX is the root of your Foxtel application. Don't forget to use a space to seperate "-run" from whatever comes before.
I hope this information is useful to someone. I tried following all sorts of tutorials for removing the permissions prompts, but most threads are focussed on Java Gmail/Opera applications, and they never worked for this Foxtel software. They key was, the Foxtel application installs itself in the "midp1" domain, and in order to change that to "tckmax", which is one extra byte, and I had to change the two-byte header of the file.
Edit: Addendum: The application looks like it'd be happier on a QVGA device, and I had some problems scrolling through the list of all channels in WVGA mode. It's more functional if I use WVGAFIX3 to set the resolution to VGA 480x640 before I run it.
I just installed this file: View attachment 156767 which allows me to watch foxtel on my xperia and also allows me to view the foxtel tv guide through telstra's business portal (free to browse) and set up programs to record on my IQ2.
Works like a charm.
Special thanks to thedeva who posted this file in another thread.
Thanks tls,
will add this to my shortcut list!
will this work if you're with a different mobile carrier other than telstra or does it use the telstra portal?
i had it working on '3'!
On a separate note, my JBlend got corrupted and im trying to figure out how to install/restore it.
I can't let Mallman have all the fun and glory (although he is doing a damn good job at getting those themes out, thank you for the inspiration)
Here are the installation instructions for my theme which is a WVGA adaptation of the ActuProColor theme
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Wisbar Advanced Desktop 2
2. A device capable of 480x800 (WVGA) resolution
3. WWE ROM although you can update the links in the theme and use it for any ROM. Just more work to install if it isnt WWE
4. The zip file which is downloaded from www.imagesoflife-online.co.uk/temp/ActuProColor_WVGA.zip and is 9.3Mb
Uninstall:
Switch themes in settings for WAD2 and delete previously installed directories
Installation:
1. Extract "ActuProColor_WVGA.zip" to folder on your pc. You will end up with one folder with all of the bits you need inside it, including the icons and the wallpaper.
2. From your pc,copy the folder named "ActuProColour_WVGA" to the "Themes" under your Wisbar Advanced Desktop installation directory. If you installed Wisbar to your internal storage (not storage microsd card) the folder is:
\Program Files\Lakeridge\WisBar Advance Desktop\Themes ***note*** if this folder does not exist just create it
3. Start WAD2 and go to settings by touching and holding anywhere on the screen.
4. Select the "General" tab
5. Select "Change Theme"
6. Tap "ActuProColour"
7. Select "menu" at the bottom and choose "Set as portrait"
8. Select "apply"
9. Press "OK"
I have installed Klaxon to link to the clock for alarms and there is a link for S2U2 for the lock option.
This is my first theme so be gentle with me.
Hope you enjoy it.
super nice keep it up!!!!

cant d/l can u reup
It's still on the server...and hasn't changed.
I tried WAD with your theme but I have the following problems :
1) When the phone wakes up by pressing the power button, it shows WAD for a couple of seconds and then it reverts to S2U2. Therefore, if the power button is pressed accidentally when the phone is in my pocket, all widgets and phone hard keys are pressable during these two seconds, before S2U2 takes control. As a result, many times I find my HD in my pocket with lots of apps running ...
2) When I tried to replace S2U2 by extending your theme and building my own (WAD based) lock screen, the "home" hardkey didn't lock. As a result, I find many apps running when the phone is accidentally turned on and the home key is pressed ...
3) When the phone is locked by S2U2, it is asleep and I get an incoming call, if takes a couple of seconds to wake up. Even when it does, the dialer ID doesn't show correctly as either the caller's name or the control buttons (answer, reject etc) are not showing. This happens in both cases, that is if I use the WM buildin dialer ID windows, or the the S2U2 one.
Although I really loved WAD I had to reject it due to these problems.
Any ideas on these problems ?
Any answer would be appreciated
Unfortunately due to the quirkiness of WAD2, I have given up on it and now MSH3.
Sorry, can't help you any more as I don't have WAD2 installed.

I also had to reject WAD2 and turn to MS3 due to the problems described above. I posed this question just for verifying that these problems do not happen on my device only.
It is a shame that such a nice piece of customizable and creative software cannot cope with the HD device ...

GUIDE
FAQs:
1>How to autorun the rules?
To autorun a rule/rules autorun option should be checked in the main menu. auto run run only those rules which have auto option selected.
2>Can I create/delete folders using this?
yes, but you can only create and delete the user folders in SMS account
3>Will copy option copy every time it is run?
No, copy option will copy the message into destination folder and mark the copied message as read at both places. so only unread message will be copied.
4>What folder to select with delete option?
you can select any folder as the message is finally going to be deleted so it wont matter(better option is to chose "deleted items" as it is easy to view in rules view)
5>What is HIDE option!(EDIT)
this option can only be used for now in contacts page.
V3.1>If a message comes from the user it will be deleted from the inbox and saved inside the application. also autorun should be enabled for this feature to work.
V4.1>From v4.1 messages are moved to a hidden folder in the Outlook, so basically the messages are still in outlook but u can't see those.
6> Where to look for HIDDEN messages(EDIT)?
to view hidden messages go to about page and there personal menu->show and select the dropdown to select the user for which u want to see the messages.
From v4.1>To see the hidden messages u have to provide correct password and then click on the show private folder button. Doing this will create a new folder(PRIVATE) and will have all the private messages of yours
From v4.3 An extra shortcut has been supplied which will directly allow you to hide/show private smses. But you need to initially set password from the createrules application.
7>Can i delete the hidden messages?
Yes you can. In 3.1 just select and delete the message and from 4.1 delete it like you delete any other message from your outlook.
8>Do i need to create a folder to store a hidden message?
No, there is no need to select any folder name as application will take care of it. and in view rules option you can find your hidden messages rule in folder named as "#".
9>What is this "#" in contact rules folder dropdown?
refer FAQ 8.
10>How frequently will this app be updated?
As frequently as ideas pour in.
11>What is the initial password?
There is no initial password. After installing v3.1/v4.1 opening personal messages will ask you for a password, that will be used automatically in next logins.
Before using the new PrivateSMS shortcut in 4.3 you need to set up a password for use through CreateRules gui.
12>Can I change password?
Yes, when you have created a password and want to change it you can do that by checking the change password checkbox and providing the old and then the new password.
13>I forgot my password, can i recover it?
no, Contact me here for the solution.
NOTE: You have to create a new password from CreateRules link before you try to use the PrivateSMS shortcut.
14>How to install/Uninstall it?
please uncheck autorun before installing/uninstalling.
15> How to hide the PRIVATE folder?
Just close the application or again provide the password and there you can see the same button will have a text prompt to hide the folder.
For PrivateSMS shortcut it will give you an option to hide also, even if you close the application it will automatically hide the folder.
16> How can i Delete all Private messages?
to delete all the hidden messages go to your private area by providing password and there u can click on the delete private messages button, which deletes all the private messages.
17>When i go to my SMS folder i cant see any PRIVATE folder!
PRIVATE folder will be enabled only when u have started the application and clicked the show button after proving the password.
18>Do i need to create a PRIVATE folder first on my own?
No, there is no need to do so as the application will take care of it.
19>So what folder name should i give to HIDE rule?
refer FAQ8
20>Do i need to delete my earlier rules?
No there is no need to so but all the messages which were stored earlier with hide option wont be accessible. if you used 3.1
21>I want to save my earlier rules! what to do?
Just install the application at the same location or copy the rules.db, ur password and all the rules will remain same.
CHANGES IN 4.1
1. Modified the hide logic, now saves the messages in outlook.(Thanks to krups for sharing the idea)
2. Fixed some bugs.
3. Autorun application now won't remain running after a message arrives(saving battery and memory).
Changes in 4.2
1. Autorun option stops wm default notification and provides custom notifications for the rules applied. Unchecking Autorun starts wm notification.(Seems it may toggle threaded mode in some devices. U may try this solution)
2. Contact names are now in order.
3. First Name last name rules now working.
4. One more option added to add wildcard numbers. to match common format numbers.
5. Some minor fixes.
6. Select option to view PRIVATE folder in SMS inbox opens the tmail application automatically.
Changes in 4.3
If 4.2 is installed please first un-check autorun.
1. Horizontal ScrollBar added to add contact list.
2. New Tab added (Tools), gives option to Archive selected folders.
Archiving will move all the messages from the selected folders to the ArchivedSMS folder and create a subdirectory tree with same name as of the source folder and under that will create folders datewise.Eg
ArchivedSMS->Inbox->Inbox_160110
Tools tab also provides another option to run the rules over any subfolders.
Select the folder from the dropdown list and then apply rules.
3. New shortcut added in program menu with name "Private SMS" which enables you to access your private folder directly.
NOTE: You have to create a new password from CreateRules link before you try to use the shortcut.
4. The time for which wait cursor was getting displayed when a SMS is intersepted, has been reduced.
5. While changing the password from the main application it asks for the new password two times to confirm.
6. Enabling/Disabling Autorun changes the way the New Text Message is notified. Now this will change the sound and notification settings.
Changes in 4.3a
Modifies the cab to create a folder and keep all the exes shortcuts there.
Added a slider control in PrivateSMS application to fetch number of private smses it should display. Keeping it low will display the last one and maximum will show all.
This was done incase you have alot of Private SMS it used to take time to show them, this option reduces the time by limiting the number of smses you want to see
Changes in 4.4
1. Made custom notification optional, you can now select, to have or not to have a notification displayed when a sms is filtered. You can choose it from Createrules GUI menu.
2. If you have opted to be notified it will display only one notification for all the sms you receive and will have two buttons in notification window, one to close the notification and other to refresh, refresh updates the no of rules completed, incase there were more messages filtered after the first time notification was displayed.
Changes in 4.5
1. Menu modified.
2. Option added for scheduled run(Only at first tab)
3. Control over notification, choose over windows default notification, custom notification and hidden rules notification.
4. One bug fix
Changes in 4.5b
1. Fixed SMS filtering in case filtering was done in Sent items
Changes in 4.6b
1. Size reduced
2. Faster filtering
3. Should Work on threaded mode Finally

This app uses the MessageInterceptor APIs (to save battery power) from PocketOutlook which is very buggy. may cause tmail (pocket outlook) to lag or completely freeze if you receive messages quickly back to back.
A post on that:
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/For...-a455840c75d4/
ps: This *ONLY* applies if you are using this app using the "Auto" mode, if you aren't, then you're safe
Incase you are about to uninstall it PLZ *UNCHECK AUTORUN* or may still lead to some lags.

I have installed now your program but I have more contact with equal firstname and more contact with equal lastname, you can add to next version on default option union of firstname and lastname?
Thanks for your work.
will try it on my HTC Touch HD
normally I sort them manually (big effort), now it seems, I found a solution.
You get my feedback ;-)
How exactly should a rule be written?
My goal is to write a rule so that:
messages starting with,
and/or ending with,
a certain word or several words,
(without a difference in capital letters or not),
get moved to a certain folder that I've created in my SMS/MMS inbox.
My failed attempt so far was to try it the following way:
I created a folder called "Filter".
I then created a new Message Rule.
For the rule I entered "BANANA" in the "Filter Message" box.
I selected the folder in the list called "FILTER".
I pressed "Add".
Now it's in the existing message rules when I select the FILTER folder.
That obviously didn't work but it was a fun try
Sidenote 1: I'm using an HTC Touch Pro 2 (European Version) with threaded messages disabled so I could create a new folder in my SMS/MMS inbox.
Sidenote 2: The program's working perfectly on a WVGA screen. Even when I slide out my keyboard and the screen turns it still works fine, apart from the fact that half of the screen hides as no scroll bars appear. This is easily resolved by sliding the keyboard back in.
Sidenote 3: It would be great if the "Unkown Contact" could be added. (The one that lacks a first and last name in the address book.)
I haven't seen the program work yet but I'm loving it already.

Thanks for testing it ysva
well after creating the filter rule did you run it Menu-> run rules ?
well the current filter works like it will search for whole message content for the given filter and that will be case insensitive.
and also it wont work for MMS
You're welcome mohitsapru.
I created 1 rule.
I opened the "MessageRule" tab.
The filter message was "BANANA", (which I entered in capital letters for tests with case sensitivity).
I selected the folder called FILTER and then I pressed "Add".
EDIT: I did get the "Message rule added" message.
The rule had been added to the "message rules" in the "Existing" tab.
I then continued to send myself a couple of text messages from a different phone number with messages such as "BANANA", "banana", "test BANANA", "banana test".
I then went back to press the "Run Rules" button. The windows loading icon appeared for a couple of seconds.
Then I went to check the "Inbox" folder and the text messages are still there. The "Filter" folder is still empty. I will now do some tests to see what happens if I choose a different folder.
Another result of testing: I just deleted the BANANA rule and the application crashed with an unknown error.
The error is as follows:
CreateRules.exe

Cant figure out y s is this happning... well we will wait till others confirm...
and thanks for testing heavily
You're still welcome.
After the error I ran the program again and it worked normally. The rule that I had deleted (that caused the error) was gone so that was fine too. I did not get another error. Perhaps it only happens when one deletes the rule, adds it again in the exact same way but with a different folder, and tried to delete it again. That's what happened the last time.
I tried selecting different folders and creating different text messages with BANANA in different folders, but that didn't work. The situation did not when if my inbox was open at the same time as your program or not. I am thinking that HTC's Touchflo might be interfering or that I need to soft reset my phone, I'm going to try that now.
Suggestion: Perhaps it would be easier if a folder could be selected that would be scanned for a certain criterium and then a folder could be selected where to move it to.
EDIT: Suggestion 2: For in the future when you're bored and have absolutely nothing to do and want to add new features: Option to auto mark as read for everything that gets moved.
Note: I noticed that you're using WM 6.5, I'm still using 6.1 because HTC has not yet provided an official upgrade for the european version of the HTC Touch Pro II. I do have the latest .NET framework etc. etc. installed. Might there be a compatibility issue?

I found out why it is erroring while deleting a rule... when either no selection has been done or no rule is selected...
Well sorry for confusion i am using wm6.1 cooked rom.... i just keep changing ROMS more than changing Signature
I have manila2d and it keeps showing SMSes. well i tried with my inbox open and ran a rule and it is working... maybe someone can give inputs for their runs... maybe some issues with different OS versions...

Hello.
Having some questions:
1) Can't manage .lnk files in \Windows\Start Menu\Programs - Access denied. How to fix this?
2) Is there any option to make the middle column in start menu on the same horizontal line with the first and last?
3) Is there any option to rearrange the items in the start menu by the finger?
4) Is there any option to show transferring Internet traffic while gprs/edge connection is active?
5) Is there any option to select which connection to use while the phone needs access to the Internet?
6) Is there any option to make thumb items (after the clock (manila)) to show as a list?
7) Is there any option to make pushing the right soft key (with home icon) to minimize the running program, not to close it?
8) Referring to (7), any task bar to manage minimized programs with minimum clicks?
9) None of mobile registry editors can edit values - Access denied. What should I do?
Thanks in advance for answers.
1) Have you tried using ReStart?
2) I could only find this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=502051
3) You can click and hold to move to the top/bottom. Once again, try ReStart.
4) Not sure
5) Start > Settings > Connections > Connections all settings located there.
6) I'm not sure what you are talking about, but Max Manila and Cookies Home Tab give you plenty of customization.
7) Start > Settings > System > Task Manager > "Buttons" tab.
8) You can link the long hold of the endkey, send key, etc to open up task manager. Start > settings > personal > buttons.
9) What software have you tried? PHM reg edit is a popular one.
1) This one showthread.php?t=481379 ?
2) Yes, thanks!
3) ReStart haven't tried yet
4) -
5) Yes, I know about this menu, but I need something like in symbian phones - each time any app wants connect to the Internet, pops up new window with available connections - wi-fi spots, dial up profiles, etc...
6)
7) No "Task Manager" in System (P.S. Still don't know why two different links to settings have the same name.).
8) Start > settings > personal > buttons - no such option in personal present...
9) This program runs directly on PPC, any programs which works via activesync reports Access Denied..
Max Manila 2.5 - v3.0 (beta).cab - installed on phone. May be I've missed something?
1 & 3) Yes that one
4) http://spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/wirelessmonitor/
5) I haven't seen anything like this.
7) Start > System is not the same as Start > settings > System. Either way, you can get to your task manager by clicking the wrench button on the drop down task manager. then click the buttons tab on the bottom and define your settings.
8) I think advanced config 3.3 can do this as well (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=418151). HERE is different style keyboard remapper to remap all keys (including home and back).
9) Never tried to run a Reg Edit through active sync connection. I just use PHM RegEdit or SKTools Registry Editor (SK Tools only shows 6 options unless you pay though). Both can edit and add values, keys, dwords, etc.
Still can't find any wrench button in taskmanager. Are you talking about original taskman, which ships with the WM 6.5?
---------------------------
Installed Touch X Taskmanager.cab -adds the missing taskmanager(top right corner) - now it is showing.
Back to connection monitoring...
I can't believe, that there is no such tool:
For example, I use Opera.
There are two Internet gates available for use - 3G and Wi-fi.
Opera starts....and I don't know which gate is being used...
How is on standard cell phones or symbian based smart phones:
when an application wants access Internet, a small window with available gates appears.. and you choose which one to use.
I've checked spb's tool, but it doesn't provide the feature described above...
P.S. Is there any program to prevent unlocking the phone if qwerty keyboard slides?

MIUI for Beginners

Already flashed MIUI ROM? OK, pick up your phone now, let’s start our happy journey of MIUI ROM.
The first step: selecting apps
Various apps will greatly enrich your cell phone, so firstly let’s select the apps to your taste. Use the Android Market and download what you would like. If you are using a backup app and restoring apps from a previous ROM, only restore the apps and not the data. Otherwise that will create a lot of force close issues.
Tip: How to copy files from the computer to the phone? First connect your phone to your computer via data cable, pull down the notification panel from the top of the phone, click “USB connected”, and then click "Turn on USB storage”.
After copying, do not forget to select the option of “Turn off USB storage”, otherwise "File Manager” in the phone will not be able to find the sd card, as it is being occupied by the computer.
Now I have a lot of apps, how to put them in order?
All apps successfully installed are listed on the desktop, however, they may not be in the order you want, how to put them in order?
Long press an app icon and then you may move it freely. When it is moved to the screen border, the screen will automatically switch to the next screen.
How to add a screen? Use two fingers to pinch on the desktop to enter screen thumbnail mode. Then you may add or delete screens.
How to delete an app? Long press the app icon you want to delete, drag it on top of the trash box and click OK to delete it.
The second step: let's make your phone different.
A phone without style is nothing remarkable, so let’s make your phone different!
Changing wallpaper: Click Menu button on the desktop, select “Change Wallpaper” to replace the wallpaper. In addition to the existing wallpaper in the phone, thousands of pieces of wallpaper are also available online.
Changing theme: Themes make great changes to your interface style. Click “Theme Manager” on the desktop to select the theme you like. Also, more online themes are available online.
Selecting ringtones and more: click “Settings” on the desktop to set call and notification ringtones. In “Personalization” under “Personal” tab, you may find more options.
The third step: it’s time for some advanced techniques!
Well, you are no longer a beginner now, so let’s learn some advanced techniques.
Adding widgets on the desktop: press the Menu button on the desktop, select "Edit Mode", and then click the icon on the upper right corner to access the interface of “Add Widgets”. Choose your favorite widget on the top, and then drag it to the screen below.
Using folders to manage desktop apps: in the interface of “Add Widgets”, drag [Folder] to the desktop. You may drag multiple apps into folders to classify them. After opening the folder, you may click the edit icon in the upper left corner to rename the folder.
Using toggles panel to improve efficiency: drag the notification panel down from the top, click "Toggles" to go to the toggles panel (It goes to the toggles panel in default of notice.) On the panel are listed the most commonly used toggles, you may click to quickly enable or disable a toggle. Long press on the icon will launch the settings for that icon.
Guest mode: enable the “Guest Mode” toggle in the panel, and your calls and text messages logs will be hidden, and all installed applications cannot be removed. You may have a try when you need to show your phone to guests or children.
Importing contacts or binding accounts: you may use some apps to import a batch of contacts, or bind Google account directly in "Settings"> "Personal"> "Accounts & Sync Settings" to sync contacts at any time.
How to print screens? Press "Menu" key and "Volume Down" key at the same time to print a screen. The printed image is saved in the directory of MIUI in the SD card.
How to copy files from the computer without using the data cable? In case of a Wi-Fi connection, enter “File Manager” on the desktop, select the tab of "Remote Administration" to start the service, and then you will get an address. Enter the given address on the computer, then you may copy files without using a data cable!

it's extremely easy.. just copy it to your SD card.. and flash it just like a normal ROM.. but it has to be flashed after the Android ROM..
1) copy it along with the ROM to your SD card
2) flash the ROM
3) flash the patch
4) enjoy

I get force closes with theme manager when trying to apply any theme regardless of it being new or old. Clean install too.
Edit:
Found that after applying a theme and it force closes, to see theme go to settings, personal, and enable/disable custom toggles and it'll work.
Actually, apply each separate theme one by one. They'll all force close but it'll go through when you enable/disable the custom toggles.
HI
Do i need to partition my sd card?
