So... the most interesting thing in X2 can't play videos yet.
Everything else works quite good.
I've decided to post it to let chiefs try to make videos playing (DirectShow, filters, codecs needed).

-added older VulcanDialer. It has 4th tab with dialpad (newer one hasn't got 4th tab, dialpad is implemented in the middle of softkeys)
-PlayNow now completes installing (but without signing)

I am not a Sony Ericsson support. If something doesn't work like it should work, 99% I can't fix it. The only problems that I can fix are: "Bad file place", "Not working panel/app". ONLY IF THEY DON'T OPEN AT ALL.
If there are some problems, let me know.
Please, understand the amount of work that was done. I can't guarantee that everything will work on YOUR x1. Nearly all cabs were tested on my own HTC/SE-based WM6.5 ROM

The DRM client can not be installed in my X1 (both cab and .reg file). Is it required by other cabs ? what happens if I do not install DRM client ?

P/s : after install some cabs, X1 freezes, cannot go into Start menu. I'm using Win 6.5, R5.08

I've downloaded 15mb and it stopped without a reason, now i started again and it's downloading even slower. ~7kbps = almost 2h

same here...it stopped also... hopefully somebody can post mirrors via 4shared and mediafire...
hard reset the second time. I think it is because of panel manager or contentpanel. after soft reset, cannot go to start menu. also, the taskmanager disappear from the screen.

for some of us, we prefer a SUPER LITE rom with just the base stuffs (no HTC Home, no Network Wizards, no Windows Live, no MS Office, no Task-Switchers/X-buttons..etc), and we install them as and when we need.
plus, we have the option to remove them because it's not cooked into the ROM!
there are so many flavours now, just not sure which to choose.
i'm not even sure if i should stick with Dopod ones or take the AT&Ts but soft-reset before customisation starts...

Just downloaded and installed (after upgrading radio to 1.54). First impressions...very fast. However, I cannot switch the beam off from settings or comm mgr. Anyone else have this problem?
EDIT: Tried hard reset and the problem still exists.
remove touch dialer/touch comm manager. leave it basic 3.62 dialer/comm and let us choose. thanks!.

Why?
It lets you use the stock ROM with the option of having or not having the TouchFlo 3D Manilla.
Nobody cooked one based on this particular release.
You want to try it then donwload it. If you don't want it then, let it be mine only.
Don't ask for other modifications because I don't really have much spare time and I really like to rest a lot.
One more thing ... If I ever have much spare time, I'll update it.
Anyway, enjoy.

Nearly the same as the stock ROM but a few more free bytes better.(You've to run it yourself to find the exact figure)
Memory leakage = still there
Remember! This is just like the stock ROM. The only special tweak is that it's Manilla package is uninstallable. This is for somebody who likes the 1.37.707.1 ROM with/without Manilla running in the background.

The aim of this ROM is to create one that looks and feels as stock as possible, while still getting the latest and greatest in there. IT IS 'STOCK' IN LOOK AND FEEL.
How to install
Install HardSPL on your device from here
Ensure the device is hooked up and ActiveSync is showing 'green'
Run this update to flash your device
That's it, you're done!

YOU MUST READ THIS
TouchFLO 3D has been repacked for this release to allow uninstall and future upgrade without a whole new ROM core. There are two implications of this.
1. When you do the first boot and it installs stuff, the TouchFlo install will appear to freeze, and will take a number of minutes to complete. Don't worry, it IS working, there are just circa 950 files to install! Be patient, and all will be well. Go get a beer. Talk to the wife. The watched pot never boils. etc.
2. If you want to uninstall TouchFLO 3D (from the regular remove programs) menu, you MUST disable it from Start -> Settings -> Today, and then you MUST be aware that uninstall will take a LONG time. Actually, not a LONG time but a REALLY REALLY REALLY LONG time. You will probably think it has crashed or isn't going to work, but have faith - it will.

I only took the plunge to TLR2 the other day, and every morning when I pick up the phone (which has been charging overnight). I can't wake it up. It appears off, but if I pull the stylus out, the hard buttons light up. The only way I can do anything is to press the Soft Reset red button. Any ideas??
Any info on free memory, speed and 2G compatibility?

Installed and working very quickly but have noticed less available storage and memory available.
Storage free on fresh install is 64mb and memory available is 49.25.
GREATTTT WORK WILL GIVE IT A RUN... Its a new rom download everyday.. lol

Hi! To be sure: in V3, you used the touchflow with less animations I presume? If so, is this .cab file the version wíth the animations?

as by-product of my ROM porting (german) for Asus P525 and testing the Windows Mobile Emulator ROM Kitchen I made a new WWE Rom for our beloved P525. It is a OS CE 5.2.20273 build with AKU 1.3.3.
NOTE: The ROM released on 07.08.2008 is UC (User Customization) Compliant. This means that the ROM itself contains no user apps. To generate your own ROM customization config I recommend using SDConfigGen.
For any information about UC configuration see the How-To.
Note: The left softkey is on New SMS as default (can be changed using Start -> Settings -> System -> Soft Key.

How to upgrade/update?
PC
Download this package and unpack it.
*Copy BootGalaxy.nb0 to your Mini SD-Card.
Copy ROMGalaxy.nb0 to your Mini SD-Card.
P525
*Press Record + reset. The bootloader will be updated. When finished...
Press Camera button + reset. You should now see the bootloader working.
Wait until you see Press Power Button and Reset....
Restart your P525 using reset
Enjoy!
* (Steps concerning BootGalaxy.nb0)These steps are necessary only once.
If you have done that allready in a previous upgrade/update you can skip that.
Check your Boot-Version: Start -> Settings -> System -> System Information -> Version.
The new Boot-Version is something with 07*******.

Hey! Thanx for this rom. I updated using the mentioned steps, although i got update failed message at the end.... but the firmware tells me its 07* and i get the wm6.1 boot screen+interface. Dunno if anything has gone wrong or not (so far everything seems to work fine.. came/ring/etc).

I've tested 2 weeks, it works fine overall.
My little comments here :
1.) No word completion for handwriting (but it works for T9).
2.) No xT9
( for 1 & 2 , actually just a registry setting & make word completion available for keyboard / block recognize & xT9 got it's own word completion, T9 either can be removed to save space )
3.) Registry still can be trim (got little extra unused keys)
4.) Memory leak is a problem, normal use only, with all applications closed with task manager after use , always remain @ 20MB~21MB free (maybe it's problem of 20273, i not sure, i just compare it to Alex/sp3dev's UL WM6.1 19581 Rom which normally remain between 23MB~26MB , same applications usage)
5.) Signal (power) can be strengthened.

6.) Last sms lost. this is apply to many roms out there but i don't see this issue happens on UL rom by sp3dev / alex. i don't know how he fix this.

This version included OS only. You can upgrade via internal storage or via cable. And make sure your device has HardSPL.

- Perform hardreset after flashing.
- Add my fav font. If you don't like my font, you can get true Manila default font HERE
- If you don't like manila start menu, you can disable it by THIS
- Remove Java and somethings many people don't need.
- Known bug:
Music tab does not work. To fix please install file at attachment.
Avtive Sync auto start all time. You have to fix this problem by change the sycn schedule by manually, it will be ok. Here is how to do:
+ Open Active Sync.
+ Menu/Add server source. Fill this word [email protected] into Email Address line. And Uncheck Attempt to detect Ex... then tap next.
+ Continue with fack then next, then fack and fack then tap next then check or uncheck (It's up to you). Finish.
+ Menu/Schedule. Then choice: Peak times with Manually and Off-peak Times with Manually.
+ Tap ok. Done. Reset your device.

I have downloaded straight with firefox and ie twice and the file is corrupted.
i use firefox to download it, still corrupted.

I have 1.3 version right now. Do I have to loose all my settings?
File corrupted here too.
I was almost flashing your 1.3 version and now will wait until I can try the 1.4 version. Looks promising. Thanks for your efforts.

yes you lose all your settings,coppy all your files from internal memory to storage like your photo's and music documents e.d.
rename the ...nbh if it isn't to DIAMIMG copy the DIAMIMG.nbh to your Storage.2 press and keep pressed the power button and the red button,
3) lose the red button first and than the power button,
4) you get a white screen now,
5) press the power button to start flashing.
6) when it's done press the red button to softreset .....thats all
