Annoying random birthday/anniversary reminders?!

I've been trying to search for this, but can't find a cause/solution
I'm having a BIG problem with this that is seriously starting to irritate me.
Basically, I'm getting random contacts coming up with reminders (at 12 midnight, of course) as:
"Person's Birthday"
"Person's Anniversary"
I do not use HTC Sense or any MS product to track people's bdays or anniversaries. I have never set this. On top of that, the day is always wrong. It's like the phone is just inadvertently setting a date for a person's bday and anniversary for no apparent reason.
Of course, I can't delete this in Outlook or OWA... I have to go into the phone and edit the contact. I've sampled contacts at random and the only correlation is that people it happens to are those on my home domain. However (and I can't remember for sure), I think there may have been one person that the same thing came up on that did not have an email account on my home domain.
Has anyone seen this? Why is it happening? How can I get it to stop? I don't want to go through each and everyone one of my contacts on my phone. That would take hours...

i've noticed once you go into view a contact and scroll down to the birthday section, it automatically fills in the current date...even if the birthdate is prefilled...it can be very annoying indeed...

But these are people who I have not gone into their contacts from the phone on. This is simply after synching with Outlook. I don't see any metadata that sticks around (like with the HTC Favorites and such in the "notes" section in Outlook).
Unless it happened a while back (a year ago, if the reminder popped up today) and it got automatically added to my calendar.

This is a known problem with all-day events. It only happens when you sync with MS Outlook 2007. Syncing with earlier versions is okay (i.e. OL 2000 and OL 2003). MS has stated that they aren't gonna fix it. The same thing usually happens with other built-in all-day events (with the notable exception of bonafied national holidays, which are okay).
Days like Mother's day, Father's day, St. Patrick's day, etcetera are fubar. They usually appear one day in advance of the real thing.
As mentioned, bonafied national holidays are okay (i.e. Christmas, New Years day, Thanksgiving day, etc).
Most people use a workaround by making the recurring event one hour long rather than an "all-day" event.

Disappearing contact!?

Ok, so i was out at the pubs a couple of weeks back... accessed the messaging app and noticed one particular thread wasn't showing my contact's name anymore but just the number. Went into people and this contact just wasn't there anymore. I obviously noticed who the person was since i could read the thread so i just re-added the person. Since I was out and all I figured I must have somehow hit some sort of key combination and deleted the contact so I just forgot about it all.
Yesterday, I was texting this same person again when I got another text... opened the thread again and the number starts showing up again! Back into people, and you guessed it... the contact just isn't there!?
Errr, anyone noticed anything similair
If it hadn't been calling/texting this person I wouldn't have noticed its been deleted.

Yep! I'm having exactly the same problem and always the same contact!
It now seems to have cured itself after I re-added the contact through google mail on my pc and let it sync accross. Very weird... and annoying!

So it's not me just imagining stuff! How could it possibly just bloody delete a contact on its own!? I'm starting to think it might have deleted other contacts as well but I didn't notice because I haven't tried calling them/texting them recently!

Well I had a similar problem with a contact disapering and found the problem.
It was linking the contact with another contact, his number was in the other contacts details but his name was not apearing, I only found out as I added it again and it disaperead straight away but when i rang the number manually it showed the other name it was linked with.
As soon as I cleared the link the contact went back in line with the others. Cant be sure thats your problem but I would guess its fairly lightly to be.

Hmm, well the contact isn't linked with any other as it doesn't show when you go to 'Link'. Also, in the messaging app, if the number does exist with another name I would expect it to show the other contact's name not just the number.
It's still fine today after re-adding it yesterday but same happened last time, it only deleted itself after about 3 weeks!

week number in calendar

Is it possible to see your google calendar subscribtions? I use weeknumbers often, and on my previous Android phone I was able to see the week number subscribtion.
Or is there any otherway to show week number?
Another thing that annoys me a bit is that the day is not written in the calendar in the day viewing, only the date ex: 1.december 2010 not, monday 1.december 2010.

haven't spotted anything for this yet. if you think these changes should be done, twitting windowsphone could be a good place to start.

[Q] Issue in calendar meetings' order

I'm trying to build "next meetings" widget. Showing the meetings in order (#C0Sdd#, #C0SEEE#, #C0SHH:mm#, #C0TITLE#) and so on for #C1Sdd#, #C1SEEE#, etc. for all the C1 items, followed by C2 items and C3 items.
For some reason, if for example I have a meeting on 11/15, then I have an "all-day event" on 11/16, the all-day event which is on the 16th will show up before the meeting on the 15th. It is only happening when I have an all day event - it seems out of order or not being sorted correctly by Zooper.
Did anyone noticed that issue? is there any solution for that or a eay to debug where the problem might come from?

Hi,
I did some more testing and I can confirm this as a possible bug:
If I set two events as an example -
1. Event A, on Nov 20, 8:00pm until 9:00pm
2. Event B, on Nov 21, all-day event
Both events are in the same Google calendar account.
If I ask to show these events in a widget, showing event #C0.... (first next event) followed by event #C1... (the second event) - Event B will always be shown as a first event, followed by event A.
I assume that this is a bug? Is there a way to correct that?

Zooper Pro/Gmail Notification Issue

up until tuesday when I received the 4.7 and 4.7.1 update of gmail, my email count is wrong
i have it as followed:
Code:
$(#SUG#+#SUG1#)$
which has always worked and displayed my total number of emails from both accounts.
now on both my htc one and droid dna, the count is equal to -2
the above code has worked flawlessly between numerous updates of gmail and zooper.
i have deleted both the gmail and zooper pro apps, deleted cache and data and installed them fresh and configured them again. still results in a -2
also if I just do a #SUG# or #SUG1# each one of those yield a -1
is anyone else seeing this issue?

This is a confirmed issue between Zooper and the latest Gmail update. There is already a fix for it in testing, though I don't know when it will become available to the public. Don't think it should be long
(Not that this get taking as an official statement: I'm not from the Zooper team, just a user sharing what I know)

Unfortunately I am also seeing the same issue - I purchased Zooper yesterday because of the excellent reviews and feedback, however, the Gmail count just shows -1

This is a known issue. I just recently worked with a support guy from Zooper for a couple of days trying to figure this out. The workaround for now is to point the Widget to your "All Mail" folder. Use this syntax: #SUG^all#

I was having this issue too so I tried putting in #SUGPrimary# and so far it seems to be working. I sent myself a test email and it says I have one unread message. So I changed it to $(#SUGPrimary#+#SUGPromotions#)$ to see if it will show me unread messages from both inboxes.

That syntax works for me. I wonder if there's a way to show other mail clients than Gmail on this unread count? I do not use Gmail primarily, I use Hotmail so would make sense to have it there.
