I use Opera Mini most of the time... It's by far the fastest browser you can have!
Opera Mini 5 Beta 2 is already pretty nice, but for everyday use I use 4.2, which doesn't support multiple tabs.

I'm using Opera Mini 4, too.
there's also a beta version of opera mini 4.1 wich is FASTER and has some new features that 4.0 doesn't have.

[Q] Hardware Accelerated Browser

Are there any hardware accelerated browsers available for Android currently, other than the Samsung browser? I'm not sure whether the Opera Mobile 10.1 beta uses it, it was talked about a lot months ago but talk of such has since stopped. Additionally, Opera Mobile hasn't been updated since mid-November, and still has a lot of quirks (scrolling in general isn't optimized, text input boxes/soft keyboard behavior is annoying, incorrect page rendering etc). But either way, general panning and pinch-to-zoom is still noticeably smoother than with the stock browser, and it's got me looking for other options, which I can't find.
From what I know, Stock, Miren, Firefox, Dolphin, and Skyfire all don't use it either.

Stock Sense browser is indeed accelerated, Dolphin HD is as well. Skyfire is in a way, just not on the phone side of things in that all the web pages are rendered on the server side. Pretty sure Opera uses it both in the Mobile and Mini versions though I'm like you and hate the quirky behavior of it.

Stock browser

When zooming out in the stock browser theres the overshooting animation which makes the browser seem very slow, especially in flash intensive sites, is there any way to remove it?

maybe opera mobile is a better choice, it's really fast
Opera doesn't support flash
Use Dolphin HD - it's great
I used it for the last 5 month and is handles well all flash related and zooming options.
It also has a few addons like bookmark to sd card and others.
That overshooting animation is a pain in the ass. Im at 1.2GHz, and the only time it isn't painfully laggy is on google.com.

Says who ?????
IT DOES SUPPORT FLASH in mobile version! http://www.opera.com/mobile/specs/
Opera Mini is far the fastest browser on the earth... but that version doesnt support flash,if you want flash go for Opera mobile .
review of dolphin hd
Performance
Dolphin HD may offer a good browsing experience, but it's a bit slower than other mobile browsers. To test the Dolphin HD's speed we loaded several websites heavy with images plus Java and/or Flash elements using the Motorola Droid X and a 3G connection.
The full version of Laptopmag.com took an average of 21.7 seconds to load; that time was the slowest of the lot, but not by much. Skyfire took 20.7 seconds, and the stock Android browser took 21.3 seconds. With NYTimes.com, Dolphin fared better, loading the page in an average of 15 seconds, fast enough to beat Skyfire (18.3 seconds) and a hair behind the stock browser (14.7 seconds). Regardless, Opera Mini loaded those two pages in 5.7 and 6.3 seconds, respectively.

[APP] DOLPHIN BROWSER BETA (GPU accelerated)

Hi all,
You can find here the new Dolphin Browser (Beta), if you have miss it...
It's really fast !
INFO:
"Dolphin Engine (in Beta) is an improved webkit version with extensive canvas enhancement and behind-the-scenes technology that makes it the highest performing HTML5 browser available today. Dolphin Engine allows HTML5 rendering up to 5-10 times faster than the default browser on Android, and at times, 100 percent faster than Chrome."

Works well

I've seen it in Android apps and games forum. Most sites don't use HTML5, so the performance boost should be small. I've also seen fenec/firefox beta builds compiled with linaro. They also give a nice boost, would be nice if dolphin could be build with linaro, too.
So does it work well on sgs i9000.?
Do I need to uninstall market version dolphin browser first OR is it okay to install straight for best performance

I think it replaces it if you're already on market version, but it won't get faster than installing without market version. It's working, but sometimes pictures don't load.
Tried it and it was weak compared to opera (no smooth scrolling) + I find the ui more bloated than stock browser.
Works awesomely

Which Browser do you use?

I wanted to ask which browser you use?
The Samsung Thing?
Chrome?
Firefox?
Other?
Your experience?
Chrome, just because of the integration between phone, Chromebook and PC.
I use Chrome mainly but at night I use Samsung's browser for its night mode.
I've voted Chrome. I use it on all my Androids, on my Mac and on my PC and the history & password manager integration between devices & platforms is great. However, I find the Samsung browser to be much faster than Chrome.
I switched to Firefox for a few reasons on my desktop about 6 months ago but mobile Firefox is still trash performance wise and has weird scrolling so I'm using Chrome. I miss having my bookmarks synced
I use Samsung Internet :good:
I use Mercury and Firefox.
