When I got to that addrerss it just loads a thick black line and thats all???
any help??
Check out myPlayer. An excellent app for both BBC and ITV. You will need Core Player to make the most of this. I think it it is in Development & Hacking forum but a quick search of all forums will get it for you.
I have found this to work regardless of the ROM I have installed.
PS: Great thing about this app is that you don't have to tweak anything. It just works and with voice synced to video.......

I use Opera Mini most of the time... It's by far the fastest browser you can have!
Opera Mini 5 Beta 2 is already pretty nice, but for everyday use I use 4.2, which doesn't support multiple tabs.
Hi, i was wondering if is possible to see webpages with flash content on our defys. I use dolphin hd browser and i read something about flash 10.1 doesnt work on eclair 2.1??
any suggestions? (i dont like skyfire).
thanks in advance.
Yep wait for Froyo 2.2 which should be officially available in a few months or try some Chinese 2.2 leaked ROM if you can't wait (I am going to wait).
Hi,
On defy / eclair 2.1 at the moment is supported :
-Flash lite in the browser and outside
-Flash 10.x support is introduced locally in android Froyo 2.2 and remotely through Skyfire even in android 2.1 in that case
I have installed the flash10 app for android 2.1 which is properly installed but useless because not supported by the browser.

Note :
Skyfire has launched v2.0 of its Android browser that brings with it a new “SkyBar” that gives you automatic Flash video streaming. The browser doesn’t actually play Flash natively, it goes through Skyfire’s servers which are then converted to formats that the mobile is happier to stream, such as HTML5.
You can use Skyfire from the Market. It converts Flash to HTML5 which works on 2.1.
EDIT - Sorry I just read Kribou's note. Skyfire works very well.
I used the tutorial on the link below and it seem to work decently:
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-install-flash-10-1-on-android-2-1-eclair-devices/
I can see youtube desktop website clearly and functional in defy's web browser...

thank you I did it and works with native navigator (not dolphin). Is not perfect, some flash doesnt work but thanks anyway.
When zooming out in the stock browser theres the overshooting animation which makes the browser seem very slow, especially in flash intensive sites, is there any way to remove it?

maybe opera mobile is a better choice, it's really fast
Opera doesn't support flash
Use Dolphin HD - it's great
I used it for the last 5 month and is handles well all flash related and zooming options.
It also has a few addons like bookmark to sd card and others.
That overshooting animation is a pain in the ass. Im at 1.2GHz, and the only time it isn't painfully laggy is on google.com.

Opera Mini is far the fastest browser on the earth... but that version doesnt support flash,if you want flash go for Opera mobile .
review of dolphin hd
Performance
Dolphin HD may offer a good browsing experience, but it's a bit slower than other mobile browsers. To test the Dolphin HD's speed we loaded several websites heavy with images plus Java and/or Flash elements using the Motorola Droid X and a 3G connection.
The full version of Laptopmag.com took an average of 21.7 seconds to load; that time was the slowest of the lot, but not by much. Skyfire took 20.7 seconds, and the stock Android browser took 21.3 seconds. With NYTimes.com, Dolphin fared better, loading the page in an average of 15 seconds, fast enough to beat Skyfire (18.3 seconds) and a hair behind the stock browser (14.7 seconds). Regardless, Opera Mini loaded those two pages in 5.7 and 6.3 seconds, respectively.

I wanted to ask which browser you use?
The Samsung Thing?
Chrome?
Firefox?
Other?
Your experience?
Chrome, just because of the integration between phone, Chromebook and PC.
I use Chrome mainly but at night I use Samsung's browser for its night mode.
I've voted Chrome. I use it on all my Androids, on my Mac and on my PC and the history & password manager integration between devices & platforms is great. However, I find the Samsung browser to be much faster than Chrome.
I switched to Firefox for a few reasons on my desktop about 6 months ago but mobile Firefox is still trash performance wise and has weird scrolling so I'm using Chrome. I miss having my bookmarks synced
I use Samsung Internet :good:
I use Mercury and Firefox.
