Hi, I have an i-mate Ultimate 9502 and in some apps, like the messaging app, when I type too fast it misses letters and lags on showing the characters.
I'm thinking it might be something to do with the keyboard buffer? If there is one?
Has anyone found a way to fix this? I type pretty fast on a thumb board and it can't keep up with me. My HTC Tytn II had no trouble with my typing..

i just saw the demo of the TouchFLO software for the HTC Touch.
Does anybody know if this also will work on the Artemis?
And is it already available?
Thanks!
no it's not possible on the artemis cause they use a differend kind a touchscreen.
but i really like the shortcutscreen with pictures to dial. i hope someone can make it available for the artemis
spb mobile shell has a pic dialer
there's a file called todayphoto.cab i think, that's a home screen plugin where you can just touch the picture to initiate a call. has limitations, but works

Click to collapse
I don't think so. It must be the same technology.
Ich you think of Apples Multitouch: HTC Touch doesn't have it.
I have been shown a bandango video of an S200 working flawessly with touchflo interface.
Sorry not to have the url.
If touchflo runs on a S200 screen, it should run also on artemis
What i dont know is if it would run only under WM6, or also under WM5
Hi, I've just had a quick look at the Elf/Touch on youtube, very very nice. So it has finger scrolling of all lists kinda like Larna's iContacts. I just downloaded a rom dump from the touch and it looks like if I had any idea at all what I was looking at there might be a dll or an exe or something else that could just be copied into my orbit so I could have that lovely scroll thing, Yeah and the contacts app looks really good as well. The animated launcher cube looked nice but spb mobile shell comes close at least in a utilitarian way in functionality.
The rom dump was dead easy to find by searching in the Elf forum. Would be nice if a brain could have a sniff through it.
i have a stupid magnify box everytime im in an application that has to do with typing , can anyone tell me how to disable it on the TP2 and for good ?
WM6.5
hi. flashed to 6.1 from 6.5. having trouble finding a better input software compatible with 6.1. a keypad type (like nokia) input would be great... thanks
hi and welcome to the forum, have a look in the read first! link in my signature, there is a bunch of finger friendly keyboards there.
try atom phone pad ..google will do the trick..
Hello, im new here and I just bought my first WM Phone (Windows Mobile),
I got my hands on a QTEK 9000 on ebay for 50$ and I thought why not?
So I bought it because I wanted to try out WM since I am sick of Symbian, I currently have a Nokia N97 with s60v5 and I hate it.. S60v5 is outdated, sluggish and utterly crap to code for, wohoo no direct access to the fraimbuffer etc.
Well so since I was sick of my Symbian smartphone I though ill try something new. I know the Qtek 9000 aint as powerfull as my current phone but I want to give it a shot and have some fun and learn something
So here is my question(s).
Since im new to both qtek 9000 and WM I want to know what benefits I have if I install WM6 or any newer WM then the current WM5.0?
Is the QTEK 9000 fast anough to handle 6.x or should I stay at WM5.0?
Since I got a Swedish phone is there a way to get my last three letters in the swedish Alphabet? (they are åäö and they look like this in cap ÅÄÖ) Since I want those three when I write SMS etc in Swedish. The Keyboard currently have those and I Basicly want to have support for a Swedish keyboard layout in any new WM.
Also is it possible to get the Swedish layout on the onscreen keyboard?
So basicly what is the benefits when using WM6.x on the Qtek 9000 and is it usable enough? I guess there is more software for WM6.x but I do not want more software if it will cost me alot of horsepower drained from my phone and if it makes it hardly usable.
Tell me what you think and if you have any experiance of using a qtek 9000 (HTC Unviversal). All info is welcome.
Thanks in advance /50mgg
Edit: I do not mind of the OS is in english also I can live with english keyboard layout but I would like to get Swedish onscreen keyboard if that´s possible.
Welcome to forums
You made a good choice!
Universal is a great device.
You can run WM6.1 very fast and stable.
Have a deep read on my signature link, you´ll find all you need to upgrade. I recommend Tomal ROM´s

Thanks for your reply, must say do not miss my crappy Nokia N97, after getting used to windos mobile love it. also love this phone, do not mind its sice and with Opera Mini it flows great on the web!
Tho have looked quite much on WM6 and it looks sweet but do not know pros and cons about it.
have applied the patch to get SDHC support on the universal and now got a 8GB card in it and love it.
My biggest concerns about WM6 is if its compatible with the emulators installed in WM5, urrently running ScummVM fullscreen with exelent speed in all games!
Something went wrong with my previous post made in Opera Mini on my universal.
So ill write the other half here.
As said ScummVM works great in landscape mode fullscreen after some tweaks, still want that to work on WM6.
Also got pocketSNES but its crap on my Universal, works in landscape mode with fullspeed but cant
jump and use arrowkeys at the same time. so its unplayable since you allways jump and run in any direction, it canhandle 2 keypresses when one key is allredy pressedto bad.
Also PocketSNES in landscape mode somehow reverse the movement buttons. tho fixed that.
same problems goes for the Genesis emulator the arrow keys are swaped and there seems to be some problems with the redifine keys function since nothing happens
when press the button on the screen.
sorry for the formating in this post but Opera Mini do not seem to like this webpage
well all want is some pros and cons for WM6 ower WM5 and want to know if the emulators works?
thanks in advance //50mgg
Hi guys!
My teenage kids both have iPhones but I use the HD Mini for work. Even though I own a iPhone myself I hardly use it since I got my HD Mini. However... I would like to have some "apps" running on my HD Mini and I get answers and tips every day.
There is one I can´t find... on iPhone it´s called "SMS Smileys". It´s an app that gives an extra keyboard with a lot of smileys. Not the usual dots and curves but imaged smileys
Is there any program for the Mini or Windows Mobile that can do the same?
Look forward to some tips...
