Follow this steps :
1) Save the installation of WA3 and WAD LAST after your application installs to avoid any
install conflicts.
2) Install WAD first, and THEN Wisbar Advance 3. Currently a bug issue with theme selection
is present if installed backwards in the "traditional way".
3) Copy WA3 iPhone theme to *root*/Program Files/Lakeridge/Wisbar Advance 3/
4) Copy both WAD iPhone Portrait and Landscape folders to *root*/Themes/Desktop
5) Goto WA3 Menu options and set Accordingly....
a) Plugins, Desktop Checked.
b) Softkeys, leave everything except check "hide softkeys"
c) Start Menu, (this is all optional to you) check off "show Icons, show desktop, show
settings, expand settings, precache icons, hw keyboard maps to startbutton, close
start panel after launch, overlap taskbar
d) Startup, check "run after soft reset", set delay to 0 seconds
e) Task Panel, choose as desired, uncheck show softkeys
f) Taskbar Assignments Tab
Battery - Tap - memory bubble - visible - right
Clipboard - NOT visible
Clock - Tap - Calendar - visible - right
Close/OK - visible - right
Custom 1 - Tap - visible - right
Custom 1,2,3,4,Home, Menu, Minimize, Network - NOT visible
Phone - tap/hold - Cascading Start Menu/Tasks Panel - visible - left
Rotate, SIP, Start Menu, System Notifications - NOT visible
Volume - Tap/Hold - builtin volume bubble/toggle mute - visible - right
Order Tab
Right aligned icons in order, Clock, custom 1, volume, batt, close/ok
Left aligned icons in order, Phone
Clock Tab
One Line, h:mm tt, MM/dd, visible
Title/Tasks Tab
Both unchecked
Others Tab
Everything unchecked except "display the actual" and "rotate the screen"
g) Tasks, check "skin wait cursor"
h) Theme, select iphone_portrait in the portrait tab, select iphone_landscape in the landscape tab
install and select iphone v0.1 for WA3 theme. Feel free to delete the stock *_portrait and *_landscape
folders in /Windows/themes/desktop to save space
i) User Menu, uncheck "display near softkeys"
6) Everything should be setup and installed appropriately, you may need to go into WAD
settings and choose cleartype.
7) goto the weather page, if weatherpanel isnt showing up, hold down the stylus, choose
NEW/today plugin/ and select weatherpanel. Adjust options as necessary.
8) You may need to right hold on some icons, choose properties, and point to the right executables
in your start or programs group just in case the buttons dont work off the bat.

to make the gps button work go to registry to the key i wrote to the 1st post and input the path and the executable to work(only works for now with .exe files)
i.e. \windows\poutlook.exe or \Storage Card\IGO8\igo8.exe
you must write it without ""
I will try my best to release tommorow a new one with much better icons
if you want you can provide me with png icons of 159x120height (pixels) or 120x120 2 frames for each icon (1 for focus 1 for pressed)

I had the same with my IGO8
Now it is working, the only thing I've changed is making the .exe extension lowercase.
Great app btw. Looking forward to some new skins.

I've already editted it by assigning GekoNewCal to the appointments (and IGO8), but I don't know how to apply this change for the BT icon.

In case you use ThumbCal and want to re-assign the buttons to open ThumbCal's functions, then:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Biotouch\ActionScreen\APP_3
Param: calendar -new
Path \Program Files\ThumbCal\ThumbCal.exe
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Biotouch\ActionScreen\APP_4
Param: tasks -new
Path \Program Files\ThumbCal\ThumbCal.exe
and then soft reset.
The same applies if you want to re-map File Explorer (no need for parameters there), GPS (same) or notepad (leave the parameter as it is and it should work perfectly - I re-assigned the notes button to VSNotepad2 by leaving the -n param and it opens the new note)
@metkosas: I think it would be nice to add in the first post that the application is placing itself on its own on the right soft key so if people have the right soft key reassigned know beforehand and also to avoid questions "I installed the application. Where can I find it now?"

Go to registry hklm-software-htc-manila and there is homeLSKpath + homeLSKtext (for left softkey)
for right softkey hklm-software-htc-manila homeRSKtext + homeRSKpath
for change the text only you change the home(LR)SKtext only.

So, when i press on mail icon - it starts Gmail (new e-mail From: Gmail accaunt)

Remove honeycomb from Start menu?

Is there some way to remove the Honeycomb effect (offset fonts) from the Start menu?
Also, I'd like to have more control over the order of things in the Start menu. Are there any tweaks that provide this control?

i really wish microsoft would do something about the start menu. its not honeycomb anymore without the honeycomb. its just staggered and it doesnt make sense anymore. if you want to place icons in certain order you have to press and hold and move up and down. its tedious but thats the way it works. switch to htcs manila start menu if you want it different.

This article actually suggests the staggered layout is more finger friendly than a regular grid. Not sure I buy it. Like most people, I think it makes the menu look jumbled.

Its true that the lack of sorting and re-organizing features for the Start Menu is annoying and a bit puzzling.
Don't know of any hacks for changing the staggered layout.
But reStart and Icon Changer are XDA user-developed programs that allow you to re-order icons, or change them. I've tried reStart with limited success. For some reason, the icons don't always end up where you put them on the list. I haven't tried Icon Changer yet, but intend to.

Seriously, this is the best Microsoft could do with a start menu? This is what was supposed to compete with the fluid cleanliness of iPhone's home screen? Ridiculous.
I avoid the "Start" screen at all costs and use Manilla whenever possible.

I organize the Start menu into folders and then alphabetize the icons with re/Start.

As I always say, QuickMenu. You can make the individual items as large as you want to make it increasingly touch-friendly, and it makes sense, includes the ability to end programs, recent launched, links to settings, etc..

I've been using an app called Panoramic Launchpad downloaded from Microsoft Marketplace for a few bucks. It's been working great, you can reorganize any icon you want on the fly by hold and drag. The only downside is it takes up about 8MB of RAM the last time I looked.

8 megs!?!?! Hahahahah, refund.

i actually wasnt a fan of the old start menu. the drop down didnt make sense. going straight into all programs did so microsoft threw you in there. and the honeycomb prototype design was super snazzy. http://stevewiilliams.files.wordpress.com/2009/04/win-mo-6-5.jpg i think htc did a good job at replacing that through the manila start menu in tf3d 2.0. but it doesnt really fit in with sense 2.5 so rather than updating it, they just dropped that all together. seems no one can make a good looking cohesive start menu.

Are you saying that Sense doesn't have a Programs tab?

i was actaully saying it didnt have manila start menu but yeah it doesnt look like it has a programs tab either.

Looks like the original question hasn't been answered yet - how do you get rid of the honeycomb? I tried the Showaco start menu program (from the folks that did REstart) but it did not work on my Sprint TP2 with 6.5.

That's what I use, it creates a drop down listing which you can scroll through, if you tap and hold you can set to the top or down. I think if you pair this with ReStart you can get a pretty workable start menu.
I first found the cab on xda, but cannot remember which thread, so I apologize to the dev.

ReStart provides more control over the order of things in the Start menu
►@Madmartian, I do not know for sure how to fix the honeycomb effect (perhaps the Cookies tweak, but I do not know for sure), but I think the OP was answered.

Re: Default Windows Start Menu Alternative: Winstart
Many users in the NRG Rhodium thread recently recommended Winstart for WM 6.x. The paid version ($5) offers more RAM savings & tweaks vs the free version. And it works w/ or w/o Sense.

I think one of my apps may have caused this problem. It just happened out of the blue. Is there any way of fixing this without needing to hard reset?

Messed up, or gone entirely? If you're just back on the stock WM 6.x interface, you can turn sense back on in your settings menu, select the "today" option, then the "items" tab, and you'll see the check box to turn sense on, then just "ok" to close.
If it's graphical corruption, can you describe it, and have you tried a soft-reset yet? You may need to go back and uninstall any recent apps/cabs one-by-one, soft-resetting after each, to see if that clears it up.

It's messed up; it's not back to the stock WM 6.x interface.
The clock is completely messed up, the numbers are all unintelligable. It constantly says "Title" on the center. The slider bar is always there but without any icons. Background wallpaper is darkened.

If you are using the stock 2.1 that came with your phone you can try installing this, i dug it up from an old thread...no
guarantees but it might save you a hard reset!

These are the instructions given by Stunno for the install:
"Before installing it copy the "2330fc3c_manila" file from the windows directory *Use Total Commander or the Resco file manager to copy the file* and put it back after installation. When installing DO NOT let your screen turn off!!! and it takes AGES to install, about 20-30 minutes.
Once it is installed, reboot and you have the default HTC black TF3D theme, with white fonts. You can then install any theme you want without CFC compression"

Make sure you copy the manila file as it says above....hope this works for you.
Below is the thread it came from, it should replace any and all of the messed up manila files whatever you have installed has messed up, and its prolly easier to replace them all than to try and find the specific files as there are thousands!!!

I'm running 6.1 as well, and I get that kind of issue when I install clocks or other themes/elements that are for 6.5 and up, but it would always go away after uninstalling the incompatible cab. Again, I'd just go backwards through your installs and remove them one by one...

I was assuming really, the screenshot just looks like the dirt-simple clock and home screen that's found natively in 6.1

I had a similar problem after using Max TF3D Theme Maker v4.1. If you used this app, you should be able to do a restore from with in Max TF3D

I think he's also running WM6.1 because it looks like he only has TouchFlo3D (not Sense; yes, you can tell by the clock).
Now, call me crazy, but seeing he has a plain, white Start button at the top-left of the screen, wouldn't that hint more towards him running WM6.5? Isn't it that WM6.1 has a colored Start button whereas WM6.5 has a white Start button? Just a thought...
To the OP: Can't you just uninstall your mods in Start > Settings > System > Remove Programs? Or is it not showing up there?

It is sooooo simple once you know how, and I'll teach you right now.
use the dialer and press the button to check email.
then look in the logs of the dialer and add the number that was dialed to your contacts as message
then, do this:
1. Long press on an empty space on your homescreen
2. Select “Shortcuts”
3. Select “Direct dial”
4. Select Contact you wish to have as a direct dial - that would be "Message" or whatever you named that contact
To add a direct dial shortcut on a device running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich):
1. Press the main app drawer icon (middle icon in system tray)
2. Scroll to “Widgets” folder (on the right) until you reach the “Direct Dial” widget
3. Press and hold the “Direct dial” widget until you see the home screen grid
4. Release the direct dial widget wherever you’d like your widget (shortcut) to appear on the home screen
5. Once you release the widget (shortcut) it will pull up your Contacts list
6. Select Contact you wish to have as a direct dial
You do not have to do both. Just one of the sets, depending on your ROM version.

Then it's even simpler...
longpress on the homescreen and select add shortcuts
at the next screen, select Applications
Then just scroll to the messaging application of your choice...... it would be messaging if you had not installed any thing like chomp or whatever.
That's all, but you will not be able to change the icon on the dialer to go to something other than whatever is programmed in the dialer app itself... Which for all the roms I've seen, its Voicemail Messages.

Here is the only one I can find and it has the msg button you want.
you can easily have it pushed to your phone for nstallation by clicking on the link, and when the screen changes to the playstore site, click on the install box on the top left.

I presume you don't read Korean so when you open the app, there will be 2 check boxes on the right side, just below the midpoint of the screen. check both and press the yes on the bottom of the screen This is the EULA for the app.
When the app opens, you can press settings on the top right and tap the Language setting down arrow and select English
There are a bunch of options you can choose or not to have enabled..
The app is free, so if you don't like it, uninstall, and no loss....
If you want to just do it from the phone, go to market, and search for Smartdial
You will see 2. Pick the one with (Dialer)
you should be good to go.
With this app, no matter what ROM you use or choose in the future, it will have your msg button!
