HTC TP2, Pocket Informant, Start->All Applications - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Hi perhaps one of your gurus can help me. I recently installed pocket informant on my TP2. To launch it, I need to go start, then select all applications, and scroll to find it. Pocket informant seems to have added close to 20 or more "apps" now. so the "all applications" list just doubled or tripled in length. Is there a way to have that "all applications" list be folder based? its not fun using about 5 or 6 finger scrolls to get to the bottom of the list for the other apps I want to launch.
help..
thanks

Sure. Go to \Windows\Startmenu\Programs\WebIS (may also be called "PocketInformant") and delete the shortcuts you donĀ“t need. The exact path may differ slightly, depending on the language version you are using.

How to end "running programs"?

Hi,
The first time I used my XDA Orbit I found a way of accessing "running programs" by tapping somewhere on the "today" screen..........but I can't remember how!!!
I know you can go settings-systems-memory-running programs however, there must be a short cut (without having to install other software).
Can you help??
Rob.
tap the little O2 icon in the botom RHS of the screen. this will show you the programs running and allow you to close them down
...........some how I have managed to move/delete the icon you are talking about.
Any ideas how to get it back?
Rob.
Well either go to programs and tap the O2 customise icon and see if that launches the app or else download the O2 plus App from the forum which is much better than the one installed in the Orbit.Go to search option and type O2 plus for all devices.

Duplicated icons in Launch Program list

I know this is a minor issue but how do you remove an icon that's been duplicated in the Lauch Program list in the TF3D software?
I uninstalled then reinstalled Memory-Map, now I have 2 Pocket Nav icons.

If by "launch program" list you mean the "Programs" tab in TouchFlo 3D, then at bottom right of screen is "remove" (right "softkey") tap that, then tap the icon/shortcut you want to remove, then tap "done" at bottom right.
From the Programs screen, hit All Programs to see the Launch Program screen I'm referring to.
Start > Fileexplorer > Windows > Startmenu > Programs (look here for the Duplicated icons and erase one of them.
Thanks kokkie.
thanks kookie for that two. was about to get annoyed with my phone for same reason. quality phone and site
itsloads easier to do it in activesync on your pc

Start showing last 4 apps

I recently moved from Dutty WM 6.1 to EnergySun WM 6.5 application and I have, as usual, disabled HTC Manila.
Is WM6.1, when I click start button (top left) the top bar would show the last 4 lauched applications. A very nice applet, I guess, whose name I am unaware of.
The 4 last used applications were displayed on top of the main window, at the left of the icons showing clock, network signal, wifi signal level, etc.
Now, in WM6.5, when I click start, yes, I can have the whole desktop appear, but this nice applet is gone...in other words, I cannot see anymore the 4 last used applications on the top bar.
Can someone point me to where I can download this small program to display (on top bar) the 4 last used applications?
Thanks
Saulo
or shall I assume that this is not a tiny program but just a setting?
If so probably I can make the top bar re-appear (showing the last used applications) simply by tweaking with WVGA Tweak?
If yes, can someone please explain how to do?
Thanks a lot
Saulo
I have tried to use WVGA Tweak and Advanced Config, but I see no settings to change there to enable this feature (to show the 4 last opened programs)
Can somebody share his suggestions?
Thanks
Saulo
Personally, I use wisbar advance 3...gives me options to use cascading menus along with most recent applications...pretty good so far and gives the phone a nice pc feel...
Thank you Telegraph!
Can you kindly point the link for the latest version? I wish to give it a try
Again thanks
Saulo
I have found the link:
http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/
I wish to try it, but anyway are there other similar applications available, fee-based or freeware?
Thanks
Saulo

[REQ] Tasks on Sense 2.1/2.5 home tab?

I know custom tabs for Manila has been discussed many times before, including one for tasks. But my question is different - is there a way to add tasks on home tab? Like replacing the call history or calendar entries. That's the only thing I've always missed in Manila - seeing if I have any active/due tasks right after I unlock my screen.
None interested?!
I'm definitely interested! I have no idea how to do it but I would love to see it. I've thought about this many times.
Well, obviously it makes only two of us. It seems is either unwanted and/or impossible..
+1 pls.
Sorry I have no clue how to do this
Yup, +1 here, makes 4.......
I don't know of a possibility to add tasks, but you can use this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=602221
You can place a today plugin, like TodayAgenda or some other Tasks app. to cover up for example the calendar part on the home screen. Or you can add it to the Operator tab.

This is actually pretty straight forward if you follow the steps correctly. This is the way I did it to put messaging on the home screen.
Install the 2D TodayPage cab
Stop TouchFlo (Start > Setting > Home > Items and unselect TouchFlo)
Soft reset (may not be necessary but better in my mind)
Run M2Dtp config from programs page
Press and hold the red area next to plugins lable
Select Tasks (or whichever you want)
Leave Window at Window_00
Set x=10 y=240 w=220 h=60
Choose M2D widget page (Home)
press apply
press menu
press OK
Start TouchFlo (Start > Setting > Home > Items and select TouchFlo)
Switch to another tab then back to home and it should be there.
NOTE: You may need to experiment with the X (Left) ,Y (Top),W (Width), and H (Height) but they should place your plugin right after the calendar
How about Sense2.5.1922
Yeah.. well, I am more interested in latest Manila 3D - Sense 2.1/2.5. Apologies for not specifying that. Adding it to the title.
I change the right soft-key of the Home tab in my Sense 2.1 to "Tasks"..
So, if I want to see my tasks, I just tap the right soft-key..
I would also really like to get Outlook Tasks incorporated into Sense!
As part of the 'home tab', the 'calendar tab' or as a separate 'tasks tab'; either, some or all are fine with me ;-)
It surprises me that Microsoft has downplayed Outlook Tasks in WinMo. In Outlook it is easily accessible and a really useful tool for 'appointments or To-Do's that are not strictly time-specific'. That at least is how I use tasks.
Therefore it is really annoying that you have to open a separate app (either MS' own or something like pTasks) to access them in WinMo.
To have Outlook Tasks show up in the calendar I have to use a full-blown program like Pocket Informant.
It's also strange to me that HTC has overlooked the incorporation of Outlook Tasks in their otherwise excellent Sense-UI!
I'm even surprised that the great programmers frequenting this fine forum seemingly does not think that Outlook Tasks is worth incorporating into Sense.
Apart from the ease of access that comes with incorporation into Sense it would also enhance the general 'user experience' to be able to access Outlook Tasks in the same UI that lets you access the other Outlook-functions like mail and calendar!
Hopefully someone will recognize this 'oversight' and remedy the situation soon ;o)
Does anybody know how to make Tasks beeing displayed on home tab? (the way appointments and other calendar entries are)
Shortcut to Tasks is not the way out - it would be perfect to have 'to do list' always on, under the clock

Hello!
It seems what you are using lua scripting in your mod? Can you create mod with tasks instead of appointments?
I'm not the only one who dreaming about such mod . There are many people using tasks without any appointments...
Best regards and sorry for my English.

Argg, I really need tasks on home page.
I'm about to remove Sense from my device and go back to WM today screen just because I can see tasks...
I agree to the best solution I found is installing pTask and make shortcut on the homescreen.

Today screen items

I have been searching for 3 hours, Can't find the answer...
I am running the stock AT&T/HTC rom. I want 1 Today screen that has everything on it that I use frequently: apps, contacts, calculator, etc.
I was using SPB mobile shell, but my "running tasks" icon (in upper right corner) disappeared & I could never figure out how to get it back.
I uninstalled SPB MS and I am back to the stock shell (and my "running tasks" icon is back)...I went to Today settings and unchecked TF3D because I don't want to scroll thru a bunch of pages, I just want all my frequently used items in one place, the today screen. This setup worked perfectly on my Kaiser using SPB Pocket PC. But, I wanted the much bigger screen that Tilt 2 offers.
Anyway, after unchecking TF3D on the today settings...my home screen is blank and when I go back to Today Settings, Items...there are only a few things I can add...like date, calendar, owner info. How can I add shortcuts for apps and games I have installed? I know the Today screen is unchangeable when you are running touchflo but I have disabled it. I tried a soft reset, that didn't change anything...the Windows default isn't any better of an alternative...pls help! I have tried wording my search 20 different ways and I cannot find the answer. THANK YOU!

SPB makes another great solution that will do exactly what you're looking for, it adds all that type of functionality to the stock WM home screen without using any shell interfaces or losing your task manager. It's called SPB Pocket Plus, and details are here.
thanks, I didn't want to use that program because it says its only compatible up to WM 6.0 (and my phone uses WM 6.5)...but I installed it and it works great...w/full screen functionality...was worried about that. THANK YOU!!!

Glad it worked! I swore by that program back when I had WM 5.1 on my Wizard, and it still works great on the latest versions even though few people stay with the stock start page anymore
