So I rooted my phone, and all was well, but T-Mobile has my service suspended now, after I'm suspended, I decide I'm going to reflash with RA-Dream-v1.2.3, so I Unroot, install The Stok SAPPIMG.nbh file, and now find that I'm not able to get past The Google Account thingy. My phone is locked to T-Mobile, and they refused to give me The Unlock Code, and I don't know anybody else that uses T-Mobile. Can someone help me out? I don't have 25 bucks to pay for an unlock code.
Did you buy your fone or are you on contract? what country are you in? if you bought the handset outright i suggest you visit a t-mobile shop and threaten them with legal action if they dont give you the unlock code as you have bought that device and can modyfy it anyway you see fit .......
unlock code
T-Mobile will unlock any of thier phones for free after 90 days on a discount and at anytime with full purchase just call them
I didn't buy the phone from T-Mobile, I bought it online.

I haven't bothered with the stuff on www.imei-check.com. I'm with T-Mobile USA, so I just called the customer care line and simply asked for my SIM unlock code. They gave it up for FREE. I don't know how BT works, but you could attempt to speak with one of their customer service reps.

Basically, it makes it possible for you to use other GSM carriers with your Dash. For instance, you can use an AT&T SIM card in your Dash and have their service should you choose to leave T-Mobile.
It benefits you if you decided to leave T-Mo for some reason or if you decided to go overseas and didn't want to be charged outlandish prices for coverage.
EDIT: To actually enter the code, you'll need to change your SIM card out for another from a different carrier. Once you do this, your phone will prompt you to enter the code.

hi mate, i have the bt s620 also, and have just unlocked 2 of mine with no probs, admittedly i paid for the unlock i think it was about 9 quid.
and worked both times perfectly.
its an ebay seller.
i dont want to break any rules by posting the link but if you want to PM me i will gladly give you his details, i got both unlock links from him within a couple of hours too.
u can try t-mobile.. and tell them..
ok deleted link cause i paid for it and it was a report on how to do it promptly got my money back after threatening to come round lol
All I can say, Try it out for yourself and post the result. If it works out, I hope it does then leave some feedback for others. Oh by the way, that's pretty darn cheap so give it a shot, you don't got too much to lose
Just to know....
Here in Brazil we can't receive unlock code, from our carries, unless we stay in that carrier for at least 1yr (18 months in some cases) or pays somethink like 2 times the real cost of the phone (and receive a pre-paid sim card). Even if you stays in it for this time, carries try to charge for this code (US$ 150 in some carries).
That's because we, here in Brasil, search for free sim unlock!
Then I ask: no way for free unlock, right ?
Thanks and sorry for my english...
occurs in Peru as in brazil, you have q 2 years minimum contract, to complete the same not unlock the phone you have to keep using the same carrier. why we need to unlock the phone, thanks
If you want to use a differen't carrier's SIM, the phone needs to be unlocked. AT&T does it for free if you're subscribed to their services, T-Mobile you have to be a member for 6 months. How to unlock, ask your carrier when you get the unlock code. With most it's simple, you insert a differen't carrier's sim card, hit "Unlock" when it shows invalid sim, and enter the code. Simple as that.
help
I went to the unlock site, paid my money, got the files, loaded everything, and now the phone just says searching. Nothing else. If I put the original Vodafone sim in, it works, but with 02 it just says searching.
Any ideas,
Vic

For you and all people here knows: In Brazil (and in Peru, as ****man said) we don't have AT&T!!!!!!
And our carries don't give us the unlock code, unless we pay much for that. Even if we stayed with 1 or 2 year contract!!!!!!!
And that's why we need a free unlock method!!!!!!!
So don't say to us to get unlock code from our carries, they don't give it to us.
The I ask again: somewere, somehow, exists any free unlock method ?

You seem a little upset. I've been looking for a free method and I haven't found one. You can either try to pay 40 bux or stick with whatcha got. What can you do about it?
i need a program or aplication for unlock the carrier! my phone is root but not unlock!
You will have to contact your carrier, or the one that the phone was originally on. They will give you a Sim unlock pin number, then you insert the foreign sim and enter the pin. Voila!
You really only have 2 choices:
1) Get the code from T-Mobile (it doesn't have to be your account, can ask friends for help)
2) Get it from 3rd party (for example ebay sellers). This will probably cost you about 25 dollar.
As far as I know there isn't any program that can do sim unlock for the slide. Correct me if Im wrong.
I think the mytouch 4g has this option in some program (i rooted a mytouch 4g a few months ago), maybe it can be ported to the slide? idk
There is no program... Your best bet is call T-Mobile and have an account in good standing*meaning you have paid your bill and it won't be past due*I would tell them you are going out of the country for a vacation so you need it to use a prepaid sim out there.
Then there is also sites that get you the unlock code as suggested by users above enjoy.
or if you don't have a tmobile account, find a friend that has tmobile. Maybe someone on this site could help you out?
requesting an unlock code is free, and any tmobile customer can do it for you.
I think a master thread for unlocking phones should be made. I'm sure all the users on this site could help each other out with something as simple as unlock codes. Unlock codes are something you shouldn't have to pay for, especially if you can get one for free.
Coming from an AT&T customer using a T-mobile mytouch 3G Slide. Got mine unlocked kindly by the man who sold the phone to me on eBay. No charge
Can any one please confirm if Hercules is locked to Tmobile
Thx
AG
Yes! Got it today to use with provider other than TMO but SIM is locked...Looking for unlocking solutions now!
darn it!
thanks for the confirmation.
any idea if the SIM unlock method for the SGS2 works on hercules too?
Try the SGS Unlock app from Market. Let us know if it unlocks.
Ya its a real bummer!
If your talking about the one on the market. I was considering that but it says needs (root) superuser???
I called Tmobile 4 times already. First they said they dont give the SIM unlock yet because of the 14 day return policy, so I would have to call back after then. Calls two and three was "you dont have an account with us? Oh sorry we cant give you the unlock code then... Final call our asked for supervisor and they transfer me to Tech. department. Tech guy was cool and gave me a number to fax my receipt showing I paid full retail for two phones plus some add'l info for them to be able to get back to me. He allow them 24-48 to get back to me!!! But it could take as long as 7-14 days. I'm sure each and everyone of them was looking at the SIM code unlock screen as we was talking. BOO TMO!!!
is tmobile really selling the phone for 529.99$?
i checked wirefly and letstalk, they charging like 600$ !

i just bought my phone full price too. and i forgot to ask that girl for the unlock code. i got the phone with 30$ prepaid plan, if coverage is good enought i'm going to cancel att!
Correct me if I'm wrong but from what I can recall is..
You can only request 1 "sim-subsidy unlock" every 6 months. Your post paid account must be active for at least 30 days. Prepaid accounts must be active for 60 days with at least $10 balance in the account. If you purchased a phone at full price, you can fax in your proof of purchase to the "Blackberry & PDA support department" for a response within 24-72 hours.
I work for T-Mobile, I'll check the specifics the next time I'm at work.

Are they reliable to send if you did fax them receipt or do they still find a loop to say no?

This is exactly what you need to do. I called to do it but actually never did, though they sent me the code. I decided it was better for me to just keep my number active for emergencies when I went abroad.

Do any of you mind requesting the unlock code for my Hercules? I am not a T-mobile subscriber. My cousin tried to do it for me, but they wanted a copy of the sales receipt....I bought from a phone shop, not an authorized T-mobile store, so I don't think they will accept my receipt.

I tried to help out someone off of Craigslist before by doing this. You will have to allow someone you trust who is a T-Mobile customer to put their sim card in your phone for a couple of days for T-Mobile to pick up the phone. I tried getting the code by using the persons imei number and they accepted it and then sent me an email 24 hours later about my sim card not being in the phone.

I tried going through the beaurocracy (or however it spells) of T-Mobile to get an unlock code, but never got one for various reasons. You're better off at least trying.
If you don't get it, cellunlocker.net is not a scam. I ordered an unlock code from them for my T989 and got my code within the day. All is unlocked and fine.
Hi all,
I'm so desperate I bought amazon fire phone without service contract, but when I insert another carrier sim it asks for network unlock pin!!
help please

If you bought it directly from Amazon, you can call them and ask for the unlock code (not sure if they'll give it to you, but it's worth a try). AT&T will usually unlock the phones as long as you've completed your 2-year contract. If you bought it from AT&T then you may have more difficulty, because they require that you have had an AT&T account in good standing for at least 6 months before they will unlock a phone (even if you buy the phone without a contract). Your best bet there is to find a friend with AT&T service and ask them to take it to the store to unlock.
If they give you trouble, you might ask them "what if I am going to travel internationally?" - Sometimes unlock code are given out to people who will be traveling internationally so that they can avoid roaming charges by purchasing pre-paid SIMs where they travel.
If any of these methods work for you, let us know. I am considering purchasing one myself.

I bought the Amazon Fire Phone as well and I got AT&T to unlock it. Find a friend with AT&T and have him go to the AT&T device request form and fill out the form. Within a few hours they will send a code. You need to have the SIM from another carrier in there when you do it. While the invalid SIM is in there, start up the phone and they'll ask for a code. If you want, try 12629711.
I tried posting a link to the AT&T device unlock request site, but I'm too new of a user, so you gotta Bing it.
I am having the same problem. Anyone care to help me get the code.IMEI : 014085004817099. I'm in Malaysia and no way to get the code.

Hello. So you bought only the phone, but not a contract plan. Legally, the phone is yours, you can do whatever the heck you want with it. Buuut you need to visit an AT&T store (any one) and they will charge you a fee to unlock it. Every major phone company does this, at least to my knowledge.
Hi, I am mentally challenged and needs one-on-one help. I want to unlock and release my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to switch to a government program carrier who also uses T-Mobile. The device is from T-Mobile. Right now, I am stuck with money, moving into low-income-housing apartment and I need help to stay connected. I've seen people somehow unlock and release their devices from cerriers before being paid in full. Please help me to do the same on here for my Note 3 then all I need to do is go to the store for goverment provider service to purchase a SIM card. My text is 405-593-8077 and I really need help, please. My only option is to buy a device at a pawn shop, which is scary cuz I dunno why they were pawned. The store has been waiting for a few weeks for S3 to arrive, so I either wait for the S3, or unlock to release my N3 or buy a device at a pawn shop. I need at least 1GB. Their Nokia Lumia 520 and iPhone 4 has 512mb of RAM. So my options are limited. I dunno why the S3 shipment from provider to warehouse are late. Help me on how to unlock, please. If ya don't want to text, then eMail at [email protected] is fine. I've had several one-on-one help here before. Please help.

Since the carrier you're talking about also uses T-Mobile, I'm about 90% sure the phone will not need to be unlocked to use the service. My T-Mobile N900T Note 3 isn't unlocked and I've tested all kind of carriers that utilize their service. Other than my contract SIM I've tested T-Mobile's prepaid, Family Mobile, and MetroPCS and all work perfect since they use the same service and can use identical APN's. However, if you do want to have the phone unlocked to make sure, it's very simple. As long as it's been active on your account for at least 40 days and the account is in good standing (no past due bill) then T-Mobile is obligated to provide you with an unlock code for it if you call and request it.
Now the part about releasing the device before the bill is paid in full, I'm pretty sure you will not have to do that either. That is unless you purchased it under their Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) and you're still paying for the phone. As long as you own the device then I do not believe they can Blacklist it at all. The only time they Blacklist them is for the EIP I explained, and you just stopped paying your bill, or if you reported it lost or stolen.
