I'm looking for a way to remap hardware keys on the touch pro2's keyboard. Apparently the rom I'm running had a different keyboard orientation, as not all of the buttons correspond to what they're supposed to be. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi, I used to use Teksoft's FingerTouch keyboard, and really liked that its spacebar was all the way to the left (allowing for less error with hitting other keys on accident) rather than in the center.
i know that in touchpal you can change the arrangement of the keys...does anyone know anyway to modify the htc touch keyboard's key arrangement?
thanks a lot.
I just tried MagiKB on the Pro2, a program which translates held keys and quick double-taps into shifted and caps-ed equivalents (eg. hold down "a" for a fraction of a second to create "A"), and it sadly doesn't seem to work. After a spell with the HD, where on the soft keyboard you could hold down keys to get alternative characters, I'm a bit surprised HTC didn't implement something similar on the Pro2's hard keyboard. Anyone have a workaround or suggestion?
When I press and hold the keys with alternate characters, it will give me the alternate character. but no double click ...
Did you try with the Touch Pro overlay?
I was hoping this would work myself. Haven't installed it yet though.
Has anyone gotten Magikb to work on Tilt2?
Thanks!
Looking for this too.
All,
I have a desire and have come from the winmo world. I am struggling to find the cursor keys on my keyboard, can anyone help?
All the best,

Click to collapse
There are none. You just use the optical trackpad instead.
Thanks for the prompt reply, but I am very clumsy and wonder if there is a keyboard out there I could load to get cursor keys back?
All the best,
Sam.

You can map the volume button to move cursor
smarter keyboard pro allows you to have the keyboard arrows
in fact it's so good that when using the normal keyboard, you can just swipe in an direction to have the arrow keys displayed
also provides you with the stock android keyboard
would recommend
Will the onscreen buttons be disabled once it rolls to our G2's and other phones alike?
The capacitive buttons aren't going anywhere.
Thanks.
yes you can disable the onscreen buttons, and it is an old news
I see...-_-
lol Sorry about that.
Thanks.
Now, I know I'm probably the only one who wants to do this, but...
Just coming from an EVO LTE, and I used my App Switcher button all the time (after moving to CM10 of course), and would love to be able to remap Menu to App Switcher for fast multitasking.
Similarly, having done so, I'd like to enable the App Overflow ("three button menu" button) in apps. I'd like this even if the hardware keys can't be remapped, as the S-Pen doesn't work with the hardware keys, and it would give me one more on-screen thing I can use.
Thanks!
