Spb Time v3 Now out - Touch HD Themes and Apps

Just updated my version of Spb time to v3, it looks really great on the Touch HD, and fits WVGA screens, a whole new interface, which is very finger friendly and there are lots of new free skins you can download for it, plus a new bio alarm that wakes you up naturally, you also get some new Spb Time widgets in Spb Mobile Shell 3.5.1 if you need a good alarm clock for your HD, this is the one....

In version 2 of Spb Time there was a screen saver, but it's gone in v3. I don't use Manilla on my HD only Mobile Shell and you can put Spb Time widgets on your home screen. My main use for Spb Time is as an alarm clock for waking up in the morning and it does a great job of that. I know Manilla has alarms too, but it don't look as cool as Spb Time.

Yes, integration is the problem.
Also this new interface is absolutely beautiful, but what happens when the Alarm rings: then the interface is quite ugly: blue, white and red! It's like they did not finish the program and forgot to revamp this part.
But anyway, it's a good soft.

Yes good point there, it does look ugly when the alarm goes off, maybe i'll mention that to Spb and see if they can jazz it up a bit for a later update..

How about you just use G-Alarm. I think its far better than spb time. v2.2 integrates beautifully, when you click on any alarm settings anywhere, will bring up g-alarm. Oh and its real easy to use, looks good, and is reliable...

This is indeed great software, very nice update! As the point has already been made though, would definitely like to see the screen skinned when the alarm is going off to look like the rest of the program.

i use this software to set my alarms, it's much faster to open than my previous choice, g-alarm.
I have a question though.I think it would be very handy to have a 24 hour analog clock skin so you could check and set the daily alarms much easier.
I was thinking of something like the windows seven 24h clock gadget http://i.d.com.com/i/dl/media/dlimage/16/22/21/162221_large.jpeg
Do you think we could have a skin like that?

+1. I second that. Would be good if you could mention this to Spb.
I think this part should really be improved in a later update.

Just installed it on my HD (L26 3.5) and boy... the horizontal scrolling thing has to be the smoothest animation I've ever seen on my device! Almost iphoneish!

Yeap, it's really cool. i wish we could have 24-hour clock skins though.
the "drag 'n' drop" function is amazing but not very handy is you have many alarms around the clock, especially if you have 2 alarms "overlapped" (e.g. 1.pm and 1a.m)

Today Screen Fiddling!!

Hi all
Have now virtually achievd my perfect TODAY screen, but for ONE problem. It is just SLIGHTLY too large, thus bringing up a scroll bar on the right hand side- with around 1mm of scroll!!
I have done all I can to shrink and move things, and I believe I now have 2 options left- neither of which I know how to do......
1) Slightly reduce font size on owner information (which I want to keep), AND?OR get the phone no. oto the same line as my name.
2) I wish to keep the screen lock option that appears on today by default (the padlock that stops any screen activations in your pocket). Am wondering if I can add this to one of my SPB PocketPlus tabs as a shortcut- but have no idea where the .exe file is to point to.
Any help much appreciated,
Justin
Why dont you post screenshots. More great suggestions will come in for sure.
Yer tiz.......
Don't laugh- but I love the colouration of the guava theme with the black of the orbit! - just don't like black with black
You can just.... see the tip of the "device unlock" padlock at the bottom of the screen. All is adjusted to optimum (as far as I can tell)- apart from the 2 points I mentioned at the start of the thread- owner info, and device lock shortcut.
Thanks again
Justin

Hi bro,
If you made some search through the net you would find the solution. I've made search, I've found the souliton.
Just try the attached file, I think that's exactly what you need...
Cheers,
B.

cant you make the size of pocketbreeze plugin a little smaller?
Or just reduce the size of SPB Diary... in worst case there appears a scroll bar in the Diary window...
SPB diary, and pocket plus have been made as small as possible. The scroll bar to the right is what I am trying to get rid of, ans the today screen extends down too far.
zsitvayb- thanks mate- that zip file has allowed me to shortcut the device lock onto the spb tabs. This has reduced the info at the bottom, and lost me the scroll bar. Can now see 5 days of wether- not 4!!
Would still be interested though in any way of tinkering with the owner info appearance on the today screen....
Remove your soft keys
I use wisbar advanced3, it has the option of removing the soft keys from the today screen, then using AEButton plus I made the soft key buttons have the same function as they originally did, soft key/1 press, contacts/long press, and I have lost no functionallity at all with a bit more real estate. Hope that makes sense. Also the features of WA3 are great and your today screen would look even better with some nice WA3 icons on the taskbar. If only it was free.
Thanks unique boy (tempted to call you uniqua- but unless you have young kids, or are a student you may not know the "backyardigans"!!).
Understand what you are saying- interesting idea. Does the wisbar affect speed at all??

That's not quite true. Remove one of the tabs (in Diary settings). After that you can decrease the height by another 20 picsels or so.
But this would then lose the fuctionality that I built up???
Use this cab to remove soft keys

If you are using SPB 2.5.5 you can make the tabs horizontal and then add a custom tab and inside the custom TAB move the weather or any other today plugin...!
Like what I have done on my screen...
cheers
Have you tried using slide to unlock.
I find this great and you wouldnt need the lock icon on the screen.
Just a though and help you need pm me
WA3
As far as I can tell WA3 does not slow down my artemis. The skin I use is called "reflections" it can be found on lakeridge's forum. Nice new wait cursor, lovely cascading menus, float window. I like it.
Thanks to all- certainly a few ideas there to try.
Keep up the good work- invaluable resource!!!!!!

Today Screen Clock w/o indicators

Hi guys,
I was wondering if someone can purge out and post just the cab for their today screen clock programs. I had recently flashed to a rom based off of Binky11's 3.6 and i LOVED just having the clock because i use SPB pocket plus and SPB Phone Suite.
So now i just flashed to Binky11's 3.9 and find it very sleek and fast and stable. i uninstalled the rltoday thingy or whatever it was. i found that his today screen clock didnt work very well at all. i also uninstalled the X BUTTON app by HTC because SPB POCKET PLUS has WAY better capabilities including the ability to map a much larger range of tasks per button.. and EVERY button has a HOLD as well as a click function.
but anyway... clocks.. i just want to turn on my phone and see the time BIG AS DAY without any of the htc buttons or tabs or whatever indicators.. i have phone suite for that and it works way better.
This PDC one is very nice & has a cab on it's thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=374751&highlight=clock
Oh My God That's It
ok thank you so much! that is the one i fell in love with..
thank you it's perfect!
pleas see attached zip file with a cab - SAMSUNG clock

Customizing the Lock Screen

I would like to learn how to customize the lock-screen for the HD2 I am looking for a tutorial but have not found much.
I don't really want to mess with the rest of the phone just the lock screen for now.
s2u2 is okaaay and the CHT 1.7.1 lockscreens whilst looking nice behave like crap on my phone getting stuck all the time and even though it's disabled the HTC lock cames back every now and then, it's a lot of butthurt and I'd like to have a play.
So yeah, is there a tutorial for working on just the lock-screen of the default manila 2.5 lock screen?
What about these type of customizations?

Commercial advice ...
In fact the most customizable you will find, but yes not free.
haha thats what i thought xD
a user named pckshd (=pocketshield) will of course advice pocketshield ...
but dont think that pocketshield is crap, its very good with many options...
if youre lookin for a free alternative, take a look at the lockscreens in cookies home tab editor, there you can for example set the HD mini Lockscreen =)
cheers,
sallal
I'm a big fan

best shell/ UI

So, I've experimented with CHT, MaxSense, stock, SPB, and other stuff.
I'm considering trying PointUI or Home2, or possibly ThrottleLauncher.
Do you guys have suggestions?
i like the stock 2.5, but thats just me. judging by some of the hideous colors and themes youll find, some people wont agree with me. try it all out, keep what you like. its not like its permanent.
Yeah, I can't decide lol. MaxSense would be perfect if it had landscape. SPB seems a bit too much for my liking, and stock and CHT use too much RAM imo. Uff ha
iPhone Today. Light and fast

well if you want a grid of icons, you could just leave your start menu open.

Until I upgrade an app and have to rearrange all of my icons again. I've tried a lot of different UIs; Mobile Shell, Sense, Winterface, PointUI and I don't think I stayed with any of them much more than 48 hours before reverting back to my PocketBreeze/PhoneWeaver today screen (with some hidden tabs). But I find IPT to be very fast and flexible and have been running it for the last week. What I really like is the ability to keep my top and bottom icons the same no matter which screen a flick to, so my most wanted shortcuts are always there. BUt maybe I should give the start menu more thought.
After all is said and done, I've decided to stick with Sense + CHT lol
I've decided that I like the features, like the looks, and like all the available tweaks for such a big mod
Thanks for all your input though, really appreciate it!
Regards
Smith
yeah. for a custamizable 3 screen sliding home, ms 3.5 with mobilesense is my fave shell. but to be honest its a millisec to laggy for me. so i switch between that and cht
In my experience Cookie Home Tab has the best features / stability / maturity mix.
All personal opinions:
WM 6.5 base (Titanium) is very basic, and lacks many features.
MaxSense has potential, but is not mature enough (no landscape, screen sometimes is not responding, etc).
Dinik glass does not look professional (for me).
Android mod was really slow, and also not polished enough.
So until a better one comes, I'l recommend CHT for now.
Does CHT have anything that allows you to mark emails as read within Sense?
I was using SPB Shell 3.5 and paid for it, but the Contacts are so bad I had to stop using it. An otherwise great shell marred by such a poor Contacts interface.
I keep coming back to TF3D 2.1.

I muss the utility of the Sense Clock, any suggestions?

I've switched to CM7 recently, and really miss the utility of the Sense clock app.
Would really like something that has clock/alarm/timer/stopwatch in one app.
I've searched for a while and can't find anything.
Does anyone have a suggestion?
Well, i can't say i know something that covers all your req's, but I use FlipClock Blue Magic and it is a pretty nice clock. Resembles the sense clock and allows skins and other customizations. It can show your next alarm on the clock (although not set a new alarm). It does allow you to set an application to start when you touch the hours part of the clock. It can also display system information and weather.
No timer/stopwatch though, but if you find a timer/stopwatch app, you can set it to launch that app by touching the hours on the clock.
... Just set the cm clock as the application to launch for the hours and it brings you to a screen where you can set a new alarm, show picture slideshow, access your music, and get back to your home screen. Might be worth a shot
This was written by an XDA dev. Absolutely awesome.

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately I'm not looking for a widget. I'm fine with Beautiful Widgets/Simi.
<br>
I have it now set up to bring up stock clock when the hour/minutes are touched. I wanted instead to have it launch something else that would include both a clock and a timer/stopwatch.
But I guess if it doesn't exist, then it doesn't exist.
Oh, lol! Sorry I totally misunderstood your question lol. I will keep an eye out now that I re-read lol
