Well i am one of the few windows mobile users who likes to skateboard. I want to know if any body could make a cab for an app that is sk8 dice. If you dont know what sk8 dice are, they are 4 little red dice that have skate boarding tricks on each side.
1 dice has the stance (nollie, switch, fakie, regular)
1 dice has the type of spin (front side, backside)
1 dice has the flip (kickflip heelflip)
1 dice has the degrees (180, 360)
here is a picture of them http://media.photobucket.com/image/sk8 dice/socialbitz/Europeskate/skate-dice-main.jpg
here is the app running on the iphone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pNHHsopJCc
here is a template for all the dice http://hotfile.com/dl/2461053/7daaf69/Sk8_Dice.zip.html
here is a video of what the template looks like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vctZSXm6ROE
could one of you talented people (you know who you are) help make any type of app like this for windows mobile 6.1 im willing to offer my undying gratitude.
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!
[EDIT] Ok. i have found a program for windows that does exactly what i want and even more? how can i port this to a ppc? is there an exe to cab converter?

Is this new or am I late to the party?
I've not seen this before...
Has anyone else seen this
Could be fake but looks real to me..
Your thoughts?
This video is kinda hard to watch, takes about an hour to buffer from China or wherever it's posted!
I waited till it buffered than watched the whole thing.
It's reminiscent of Androids home screen but definitely different...
Interesting anyhow
yea it also sorta reminds me of the Touch Wiz OS found on the Omnia family and the samsung eternity and such. with the ability to drag various widgets onto the homescreen. it's really hard to see tho
You guys need to read. That's Windows Mobile 6.1. It's just a custom skin that he's using to emulate some of what 7 will look like. There are a bunch of inconsistencies with the design. He's actually using SPB Mobile Shell with this skin:

Yeah, don't you guys read Chinese? Jeeeezz!
Sorry I don't read Chinese - Although I could have copied the url and had Google translate the page so fair enough I guess - LOL!
And the gui somewhat matched a recent Microsoft Vid that featured a Xperia and TP1 running some variant of WM7.
When I find the url to that I will post it.
Hello XDA-DEV Community,
Yesterday I played a game card game called Munchkin, but we also needed a simple 6 sided cube. The Cube was missing, and so I decided to create my windows mobile cube
I want the Cube to rotate, when the mobile phone is shaking.
My thought was to create a gif with 6 frames (1-6). When the event "shaking" (defined by G-Sensor) triggers, the gif should jump to a random frame.
My question is: how do you jump to a frame? I use Visual Studio 2008 with Windows Mobile 6 Professional SDK and compact framework 3.5. My first thought was to insert the gif into an picturebox. But now i stuck.
Greetings,
muh2k4
P.S.: I use a HTC Touch HD with Windows Mobile 6.5 and Milina.
Excuse my language, please!

When I've done similar things for Windows (not mobile), I've used separate images and changed which one is shown in the picture box. I'm not sure there is a way to pick the frame of the GIF. If you use a PNG, it should still be small enough to not be a noticeable difference in file size (if you're concerned about that).
As an alternative, you could possibly use the trick that web designers use. You make one big image, that's 6 times as wide, that has the content of all 6 individual "frames". Then, you move the image in the box so that only one of the "frames" show as needed.
Why not just have 6 pictureboxes and select one using Math.Rand()?
Jumping to one frame of a GIF is just excessively complicated. Have six static images.
Is there any app out for android that will allow one to open/create .psd files on the phone and view layers? The only thing that I missed about my 6700 6800 6900 touch pro and touch pro2 is the ability of editing .psd's in the go with conduits pocket artist. I loved my hero and now evo but wish there was a to even open .psd on the go. (I'm work for a graphic design company, hence the necessity of being able to at least view .psd that are sent via email on the go)
Hello,
I've been asking myself the same question and googling now for an answer, I've come across your post.
Shame on this amazing forum that nobody has answered you yet...
What I know from my own experience, is that there is Photoshop Express for Android but it's really potatic... You can just modify brightness and some basic stuff of your images, but you can't draw, can't apply any brushes and no top-notch features...
I'm considering the Android platform, but currently on Diamond with WM 6.1 I'm really satisfied with the serious applications out there...
There is Blender for Windows Mobile !!
Pocket Artist is a really amazing piece of software, with which you can even use Photoshop brushes!!
And there is a lot of mathematical and scientific software for WM, not sure whether all this is available for Android too...
I hate windows as an OS both on a PC and on a phone, but the software available for that platform... Really amazing variaty and quality !!
Hello...
I'm working on a mobile version of a website and I don't know anyone with windows phone 7.
Would a couple people be willing to try and break it and tell me if something doesn't work?
I have access to test with windows mobile 6.5, android, iphone, and blackberry.

Thanks...

Looked good to me. Navigation was clean and fast, and the audio links all worked fine.
The only problem I saw was that all of the "Most recent" links on the free downloads page took me to the same place - the current schedule page.
Oh, boy...
Thanks for pointing that out.
I used ? instead of &.
JJ
That showed up another problem.
Apparently, my code on listseries.php was funked and it showed the same Recent Messages instead of the messages for each series.
JJ
Functioned well for me on a Samsung focus
Sent from my SGH-i917 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Runs smooth and looks good on my HD7.
Do the mp3 links just start playing or does it require the file to download and open separately?
WM6.5 only downloads.
JJ
They started playing immediately for me.
it is working very well
Hello, again...
Would some of you wp7 guys test another link for me?
I'm working on some streaming mp4 video and it's working for iphone/ipad, but not android or desktops.
I'm wondering if it works for wp7.

Thanks...

No, it does not work. It tries to play it as a video (in full screen), but then it says that it can not play the video. Are you using a video format that Windows Phone 7 is supposed to support?
I don't have the foggiest idea.
It's a live stream that is going through a third-party streaming company (we encode, live, and stream to them, then everyone connects to them for the stream).
I've just implimented the code that they provided and it works for apple devices, but nothing else.
JJ
Edit...
Apparently, it works on a mac with safari, but not windows with safari.
JJ
Sorry, we can't play this file on your phone.

I get a white page that says "Live" in the top left. This is the same whether I choose "desktop" or "mobile" settings in my browser

Hello, again...
http://66.119.8.164/xml-freedownloads.php
I'm not concerned about how things look or function, just what background color shows up in portrait and landscape.
In theory, it should be blue for portrait and orange for landscape.
Please test with any browswer that windows phone 7 supports, if possible.
Thanks...
JJ
Seems to work with IE9 (WP build 7712)
However you can't read headlines/Links in portrait mode since they blend with the blue background
Color changes (so does the font size but i'm guessing that has to do with whatever you tied to the orientation). So to verify above, you're good on the 7712 mango build.
Yeah, the functionality of it is meaningless, at the moment.
I was in the middle of testing some xml loading and decided to try some css media query stuff.
It's lame, though, as my windows mobile 6.5 internet explorer isn't using media="handheld" or min/max-width.
JJ
Worked perfectly here.
Is this even possable with all of MS's tools to take a cab file from a 6.5 program and convert it to a WP7 app ?
No you can't, WP7 is a completely different beast than WM.
If you have the source code for your WM6.5 app and it uses the .NET Framework, you should be able to copy bits and pieces of code because Windows Phone apps are written in C# or VB.NET.
Dam, all I want is Remote desktop and UNO 1.63 (programers site is down, I would of asked for the source code) I hate the UNO in the marketplace.
Edit: found the programmer who made UNO 1.63, not supported any more, dropped him a line to see if he would release the source code for it.
no the real question is would it be possible to make an emulator, we're not talking about running games or playing video here so the overhead shouldnt matter too much
This app works great for Remote Desktop.

It's expensive, but the trial works fine. The limitation is that you can only be connected for 5 minutes at a time, then you have to wait 60 seconds before connecting again.

There is an issue with that app, you can't make secure connections with it. As I have understand with this, MS is the only one who could create a perfect app for this.
Even the 6.5 version supported it....
I love WP7, but, just hate some of the limits, this is one of them...
