I've read people have upgraded there HP Ipaq to WM6.
I'd like to find out How if at all to upgrade the OS on my IPAQ rx5915 to WM6.
By the way "HP Sucks" I didn't choice it, it was a gift

HP never released any rx5900 Series update tool or ROM.
So it's impossible to make a custom ROM,

ipaqs don't really have any upgrade options, oem or not. unsure about the 4700, but every other item never received upgrades i don't think
the old ipaqs where the ones that had upgrades, when hp bought compaq their ipaqs stopped having major upgrades

there is not any official WM6 nor 6.1 stable/official version available directly from HP. only wm5, and this original version is nothing interresting, tunned versions of WM5 is more stable, much faster and better. if you want WM6 in your devices (I have exact the same as you, 2790 and 4700) you must find it by yourself. right now I am using for 2790b 4PDA last version and for 4700 wm6 by kozhura. try to search this forum a bit for more infos.
