Hi,
I use a Dutch application called "NOS Mobiel" and when it is started the background is "grey" instead of "white" and when working with the app the "grey" turns "blue"... so all graphics seem to be destroyed...
It used to work fine until I performed a hard reset...
Removing/Installing the app does not help..

I have searched in as many word combinations as i can think of, but i cannot find and answer to my problem.
I just installed Kavana 6.1 (RUU_Excalibur_WM61_Kavana_080408_WWE.exe) rom a couple of days ago (on a T-mobile Dash) and noticed something while i was customizing and making it my own special blend.
I have my Home Screen Layout as the Sliding Panel Media. The problem arises when i attempt to change the colors.
When i change the color scheme to:
Blue - I get the base hue of BLUE but the panel background remains GREEN
Brown - base hue correct, panel background remains Green
Green - everything matches with green (of course)
Grey - base hue correct, panel background still Green
Lake - everything matches with Lake
Light Green - everything matches
Magenta - base hue correct, panel is Green
Purple - base hue once again correct, and panel is still GREEN!
Red - everything matches in Red
My background image is set to Default. I am so sick of looking at green right now. Has anyone else encountered this???
I am having the exact same issue. I just switched to Kavana 080408 from Ricky's v24 and now I can't get the home screen background to work correctly.
Loving that I am not alone in this but sorry you're going through the same issue. Me likes my colors and gotta have em!
Replace the Background
I just did this update today and it seems that you have to replace the background image with something that is a color you want. I don't think that changing the color scheme changes the background image color.
I have encountered this so I tried a hard reset and it worked...
so Try a hard reset and see if this will work for you...
Thanks guys..... I will eventually try the hard reset.

Also, if you would like you can backup everything using Sprite program to back it up so you wont have to reload everything when you do a hard reset on your phone. Let me know if you would like this program.

Yes please......Sprite would make my life easier because there's nothing I hate more than starting over. It usually ends with me remembering the one thing I needed before the reset only to roll my eyes in disgust. I lost some good blackmail material in digital land.....
Just got my new Nexus 7 2013, which will be used in my car a lot for music and nav. My car's interior lighting is red, so I was wondering if there's an app that can change everything onscreen to red. I used to use Chainfire 3D on my old tablets, which had a setting for this, but it's not compatible with JB. I know there are other apps that will add a red tint (Lux, Filter Your Screen, etc.), but they don't make it a true red like Chainfire. Hell, they even make the screen brighter by turning black into dark red. A current app that does what I want is Galactic Night, but it's only for Samsung Galaxy devices.
Any suggestions?

Try Night Filter. Its free on the Play Store and you can set whichever colour overlay you want. Not sure if that's exactly what you're after but it supports opacity of the overlay and colour, works for me at night! Here's the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.digipom.nightfilter&hl=en
Call me odd but i don't want a background on my homescreen or lock screen. I simply want it plain black. But I see no option to simply pick no background which with every other smartphone I ever owned or messed around with resulted in a plain black background. How do I set no background? Thanks

Just find a black image and use that.
Sent from my LG-H810 using XDA Free mobile app
go on google find a black background and set it as the wallpaper?
Take a picture on your phone in a dark room with your camera facing down on a desk and set it as the wallpaper?
I had thought of doing that. But I thought the idea of the no background was so that the background wasn't consuming resources. Every time I exit an app it has to load the background like android decided to turn it off while in the app. So even though the background image would be all black it's still going to have to go through that processing. I am not sure of the impact of that. I know with older devices having no background was recommended because it consumed resources. I don't know why there is a no background setting, it seems kind of stupid that it was left out.
So i just got the phone last night and i applied both to try and force any and all apps to show notch so i can enjoy all of my screen. Idc how i have to do it but for whatever reason when i open certain apps, they still overlay a gray, white, black, empy bar where my notifications would normally go and its very frustrating.
I gave granular permission, put full screen on every app and even told every app to show the notch... Is there any other way to bypass this issue so i can get any app regardless if it likes the aspect or not to show the notch and remove this bar?
Could still use help with this https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/471469010672812033/544203189558181900/Screenshot_20190210_120903_com.facebook.katana.jpg

Are just some examples. White bar is where it should show the app and if it were digital, my notch
I have this problem with certain apps even forcing show notch just turns in showing a white bar instead of black in landscape.
I don't think there's something we can do about it atm, I guess it's more of an app incompatibilities with notch since it works perfectly with some apps and not the others. Not sure if it's on Huawei or Dev's app side.
When it doesn't work It's better to let it black than white for your screen.
Thankfully I'm glad I'm not the only one and it's not just a me problem. Thing is. IDK how to force a certain color up above. Like for example if I use Nova to swipe up as search, it will just put a white bar up there... And you can see someone else is doing it cause for a split millisecond it shows the operation as intended with just the search box. Quickly after though it sticks that bar. Same thing with for example Sao internal factor (game)
When you start up the game it'll give you the entire screen, but soon as you check your mail or news and close them, the white line takes over where the notch is. Very frustrating and I feel like it's in the system, not the game... But who knows I could be wrong
I just hope a mod or fix is made soon because if I had know I would not be able to take advantage my entire screen, I would never have bought the phone
Hi,
does anyone have the problem that dark mode doesn't work properly with some apps? For example light grey text on white background and other difficulties for reading? Can I fix this in settings somewhere?
Also, seems like some apps are displayed incorrectly with wrong formatting of text. Is this problem related to the other or does the phone have a weird aspect ration that some apps didn't consider?
Thanks in advance.
Yes. You can go and unselect apps individually from Dark mode settings
