CoPilot on HD. - Touch HD Themes and Apps

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fohZ4IajgtY
Hi guys. what it is this?

Well, seems like a navigation programm to me Haha, okay wasn't funny.
No, CoPilot is a navigation programm which is cooked in some roms by some chefs. Seems to work rather good. But I'm not sure if it works as good as Sygic McGuider or TomTom.
Maybe an idea to install it sometime and play with it a little. I'll try to look it up and test it.

Does My Location work on WM6.1? Yes or No?

Hey guys, I can't seem to get a solid answer on this so I had to ask again. Does My Location (on Google Maps) work with the WM 6.1 update? Thanks guys!
BIG ACH
no, it doesn't work at all on cruzzmz's ROM on my cavalier. it does work on 6.1, though, as i used it on my dash all the time (ricky's rom)
Thanks Dark Finger, this is exactly what I needed to know about cruzz's rom.
Btw, on the Dash I know it also works on 6.0 when you do the app unlock.
right, i never had problems on my Dash (and i started with WM5!)
Don't you need a GPS receiver for My Location to work?
google maps can do a pretty good job of figuring out your location from cell towers coordinates. So, you can use it to get a rough location even without gps hardware. Doesn't work on the cava tho....
has anyone tried this solution http://www.allshadow.com/2008/03/09/how-to-get-my-location-working-in-google-maps/
I tried the .cab but no luck for me. im kinda afraid to try the reg edit that they mention due to my lack of experience, but maybe on of you more brave individuals would like to give it a try?

TomTom - What Version??

Hi..
I have tried to find the answer here at XDA, but i'm still confused...
Which TomTom version is the right one for the Black Stone??
Is the VGA or the QVGA for the Black Stone??
"Huhh, there are noe stupid questions, only stupid answers" ;-)
Stupid Answer: try looking at the 'TomTom on HD' topic on here
Thnx, but i have checked out that post. And i have figured out that the VGA-version should run on the HD.... BUT, when i installed it, the HD nagged about some Low Memory issue.... Therefore this stupid question....

That's odd, because I use tomtom v. 7.450 (9028) and works fine. But personally, forget silly tomtom and try IGO8. Believe me, you'll see the BIG difference.
IGO8 was born for blackstone, except of the sys.txt, but this is only small inconvenience from the beginning .
I have nstalled version TT_Nav_7.450.9028_repack3-qvga-black, previously working on Kaiser. On blackstone working fine

! Solved problem !
Hi
What version would work?
I tried IGO_8_v8.3.2.79297.
I was able to select lanq. and voices, but IGO stopped when trying to load the usual "Warning bla bla" (you know this warning any GPS need to show you the first time you use it).
Tried to reboot a few times. Same just made my HD veeeeeery slow so I had to restore it!
Do I need to do something with the sys.txt?
Mittaa
Tt 7.450.9028
7.450.9028 works perfectly (just with small fonts and POI icons).
I still have the issue of GPS dropping signal, but this is seems to be not related to the application used
I am using 7.918.9193 QVGA.cab with map UK v845.2667 on my HD and it runs VERY fast (make sure you are not showing too many POI's you dont need). I have not modified any settings or files for it to work and it displays perfectly and runs fine.
I have it installed to the mem card and I have never had any troubles about low memory.
As for IGo, I am using 8.3.2.97313 and its fast and beautiful, with alot more features than TomTom but I only really use it for the tracking feature and to re trace your tracked route. I used it (well it was MioMap then) to go from one side of Bulgeria to the other via taxi (with tracker on) and then hired a car for the trip back and re traced the route.
The sys.txt was a nightmare to get working but after lots of playing (refused to read people instructions, silly me) I got it working at full RES.
Both amazing but I still use TomTom more

What GPS to use on defy CM7.1 official?

Hey ppl I just upgraded my defy the new CM7.1 official, now I'm looking for a GPS software to use here in brazil so, good brazil maps are important to me.
can you guys please give me your thoughts about what GPS should I use?
Also, I saw some ppl saying that CM7 does not support A-GPS is that true?
Thx in advance and best regards.
of course it supports A-GPS... as for maps, im using Google Maps and its working fine where i live (remote village of North-East India), i dont know about brazil...
In my opinion, there's not a real good gps app for android yet.
In my case, in Argentina, I use Sygic, Navitel (you can adapt Garmin maps to it) or Ndrive. Each of one has it pros and cons... try them!
Cheers,
Lucas.

Wrong! Igo works on Android and IMHO is the best navigational SW ever! For Motorola, it's called motonav You just need to upload content and license in a folder called motonav on your SD card, then get the motonav.apk and install. Just did it a few hours ago. Works like a charm.

thanks auris. installed igo myway yesterday and tested working very well today
any idea what's the difference between the motonav and myway?
I don't find any difference.
I use latest Sygic on my CM7.1. It has 74% Argentinian road network coverage ATM.
