10 days ago I went to pick up my phone and noticed that the clock time didn't look right. When I looked at a regular clock I could see that my phone was 27 minutes slow. I thought my phone was syncing time with the network, but it's not and I can't even find a setting that allows that. I had to manually reset the time on the phone to correct it. I wondered if I might have changed the time by accident and passed it off as odd.
Two days later it happened again and then it happened again the day after that. Within a one week period this happened 3 times. I installed TimeSyncTZ to give myself piece of mind.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. If it keeps happening I think I might need to get my Tilt2 replaced.
Settings/clocks and alarms
Set the home time zone.
We have 2 tilt2's and this happened to both last week. We changed them to eastern US and i just saw mine was on indiana AGAIN,BUT my time is correct for eastern US
I thought it was possibly a time zone issue, but then it would have been off by an hour. My time zone never changed. It's always been set to GMT -6. In fact I have several time zones set up on my phone and they were all off by 27 minutes just like the local time.
The only thing that changed was the time on the clock as if I had gone and set it myself to some random time. The 2nd and 3rd time it happened it was off by about 30 minutes as well. It was if time stood still on my phone for a little while.
WM6 was freezing my Tilt last week. I got fed up troubleshooting and upgraded to 6.1 on Monday. Yesterday I noticed my time off by a few hours (and minutes) while the device was connected to my PC. It was about 11:15am and my device showed 8:07am. This was the 1st issue with time since I had the device. It wasn't a TZ issue and shortly after I disconnected from the PC, the time sync'd correctly with the network. The device did not match the PC time either. I'm continue to monitor, though.
Mine is yet again set to indiana for some reason. Doesnt make much of a difference i dont think. Same time zone. Odd that its not sticking hen i set to eastern
have you considered alien abduction as a cause for your missing minutes?
WTF!
I'm late to work this morning bacuase, some how, the phone lost 45 minutes over night! Just sitting there!
How the hell did that happen!? It's unacceptable!
This is a stock T-mobile USA.

I've been lucky that all three times it happened to me were during the daytime when I had a good idea about what the time really was. I couldn't help thinking about what would happen if it did that in the middle of the night and I got up late for work. I'd be in the same boat with you. I haven't used a watch or an alarm clock for years. This is the first time I've had a cell phone mess up the time like that.
Unacceptable is the word that comes to mind for me as well.
If you got to:
Settings -> Communications -> Phone (change settings) -> Advanced -> Time zones
The check box: 'Automatic change time zone and clock'
I had that set, so it should correct the clock if anything goes wrong... SURELY!?
I kept having this problem too (I'm on the East Coast, and it kept changing to Indiana). The only way I could fix it was to uncheck the "Automatic change time zone and clock" box on the Time Zones tab in phone options, and it seems to be OK now. Maybe the towers are off... Definitely weird and annoying.

I am new to the Smartphone...
I synced my calendar to my S620. Now sometimes randomly I get notices that I have an appointment when in fact I had that appointment yesterday.
It looks like all my meetings are getting moved forward 12 or so hours in my calendar. Then maybe after 5 or 10 minutes the calendar reverts back to the corrrect times.
Has anybody else encountered this issue?
Any solutions?
might have to do with your time settings, check if it's auto on in the time settings as well as the right timezone and it matches your computer
I have experienced a similar issue. Yesterday I noticed one of my appointment times change on 2 separate occasions. The time changed to an hour earlier than my meeting was supposed to be and then changed to an hour after. I set it back both times. Fortunately, I knew what time my meeting was that day.
I've only been using the Dash a couple of days so I don't know if this will be an ongoing issue. I had put the device in my holster without locking it, so I was wondering if that might be the source of the problem. Also, I had some trial 3rd party PIM software installed which I have since uninstalled. I'm a little worried that this would be an issue that would get through testing.
Today I noticed all my meeting times advanced by an hour when my service changed from T-Mobile to Centennial when I was driving. The time on the home screen of my Dash was correct, but all my meeting times changed by an hour. I watched as I changed back from Centennial to T-Mobile, and double checked my meeting times. They all moved back to the correct time. Anybody have any idea what is going on? It doesn't make sense that the time on my home screen was fine, but my appointment times changed on me. Any insight on the matter would be helpful.
In the clock settings uncheck the "auto clock/time zone" setting
So i have no idea whats going on. On my Alarms tab I once had it set at 4:30am to wake me up for a flight and now even though I've changed it it still goes off every morning at 4:30am.
Anyone have this strange problem and know a remedy?
im having the same problem.when i change the alarm it goes off at the new time i set but it also goes off at the old time. what rom are you using? Im using pays lite 6.0 rom
I've got the same issue. I'm running schap's 4.31 ROM.
It first came up a few months ago and I thought it was related to HTC Home. When I uninstalled it it went away. I seems to have been a coincidence because this weekend it came back. The only change that happened was that for some strange reason my time zone was changed so I changed it back. Ever since then the alarm has been stuck on where it was set at 6:30 :40 and :50am no matter what I change the current alarm to.
Thinking I had things narrowed down I changed the time zone back and forth one zone/hour while the alarm was set to the correct alarm time 7:30 :40 :50am.
Now I have a THIRD set of alarms going off at 8:30 :40 :50am. I literally have 20 minutes of alarms for three hours M-F.
Looking in the registry reveals nothing, the alarms are set for the correct times there and the ghost alarms can't be found. No amount of turning alarms on or off and soft reseting has any effect.
Hi guys,
I had the same problem - two hidden alarms. You need to clear notification queue. It can be done with SKtools.
Regards
Do you live upstairs from me?
Who ever that is up there has a super load and annoying alarm that goes off NON STOP from 4:30am to 7:00am Very Very annoying...

buddy, its telling you to quit smoking weed ten minutes is enough...

The problem's probably that Windows has got the event stuck in its schedule.
A number of tools will clear the list for you. If you download Pocket Mechanic from Wizcode the time-limited demo is fully-functional. Good software, it's good enough that I bought it after trying. Took me ages to work out how to sort the same alarm issue a coupleof years ago.
Gad. As an engineer, I am a little reluctant to post this question or observation ... but if trained active astronaughts reported seeing UFOs, then I can report this problem. Here it goes:
My upgrade to 6.1 on my T-Mobile Dash coincided, unfortunately, to the day, with a new job that requires me to commute to Phoenix, AZ each week (as well as other brief US travels).
The evening I installed 6.1 (RUU_Excalibur_WM61_Kavana_080408_WWE)
I was in my home in the Silicon Valley area of CA. No problems.
Then
1. I shuttle off to Phoenix. From the moment I landed - email was just broken all over the place - mainly SMTP - which is well documented on these boards. A replacement Dash, 30 hours of tech support etc .. the problem has seemed to go away - perhaps it was a bizzare temporary incompatability between the 6.1 upgrade and tmobile's proxy servers.
now then ....
2. When I am in CA - my appointment reminders, and the overall behavior of the Dash is OK. I tend to use Tasks, Outlook, and text and pop emails quite often, browser and playing solitaire when i get bored. and lots of bluetooth use. Usually no problems with any of this while in CA.
3. I've traveled recently to Orlando, LA, St. Louis, San Fran, Indiana ... no problems at all - or rather no changes in behavior.
4. The SECOND I land in Phoenix and turn on my phone, the poltergeists start:
a. I turn on the phone - and all the reminders appear (no surprise) - but the "dismiss/menu" options don't appear for maybe 5 mins. I cannot do anything during this time except click on the Celetask button (@)... but this won't allow me to terminate anything. Only the back button and home key work - returning me to the frozen reminders list.
b. After 5 mins of freezing ... I either dismiss the reminder/appointments (or snooze them for 1 hour - ... one hour). Then I try to look at emails etc ... I find the button responses sluggish but working. THEN within about a min - the damn reminders appear again. When I dismiss them all, they reappear in about a min - this time with a duplicate of each active reminder (calender appts) ... yes, 2 of each. This keeps interrupting email reading until I cant stand it.
c. so I take out the battery, wait, and reboot. perhaps after 5 trys of this - the behavior still persists, but stable enough for me to work on the dash (perhaps it is not the reboots - but that the appointment reminder cycle has expired)
d. Even so ... during the next few hours -
i. Major problems talking on the phone. Reminders interrupt; cannot access phone menus (toggle handsfree, or to type touchtone numbers)
ii. When navigating other apps - keyboard does not always respond ... sometimes it appears to stuff in erroneous keystrokes
iii. freezes (unresponsive) for long periods 3-4 mins at a time then all the backlog of keypresses are excuted.
Yes, I have replaced the Dash twice already! That's not the problem
Taking out the battery, or otherwise rebooting actually seems to make the problem worse (the reminders trip over themselves and take forever to clear)
These problems only seem to occur when I stay in Phoenix (I know, a UFO sighting in more pausable).
The problems seem to subside within a day or two but I am not certain.
These problems don't seem to happen in any other city ! Took 4-5 months of traveling to realize this!
gulp ...
Has anyone else experienced anything close to this?
Try a new SIM card, especially if it is older. Sounds funny, but there's a lot of datafill in the HLR/MSC that are tied to specific SIM card ranges. I've seen switching SIMs fix all kinds of issues. Give it a shot... worth a try
It may be tied to the stupid t-mobile Arizona time zone problem. If the phone is set to sync with the time servers to keep accurate, then it will mess with everything else that relies on time. I have to keep mine unchecked for time synchro because otherwise it is an hour off and that changes everything in the calendar.
Next time you head towards Phoenix, try unchecking the automatic time/time zone option in your clock. You may need to reset the clock, but hopefully, it won't screw everything else up.
im in phoenix and nothing like this has happened to me lol. as stated above could very well be because of the timezone issues.
Hi all.
Having an issue with my EVO that I can't seem to figure out and was hoping that someone here might be able to help.
At (what seems to be random times) my phone will be 1 hour behind. It seems like it changes to Central Time (I'm Eastern) ... I'd say this has happened 5-7 times in the last month or so.
Just this morning my alarm went off ... I got up and when I left the house my phone said it was 9:20am... I stopped at the gas station and when I got back in the truck I noticed the clock on my dashboard said it was 10:20am.... I was like what the hell?
I looked at the phone again and it said it was 9:20am. So I touched the clock and it went into the clock settings. There it said I had two locations... Lexington, KY (time 10:20am) and Eastern Time (10:20am also) ... when I went back to the main screen it updated to 10:20am.
Usually when I have this issue it requires a reboot to fix.
I'm running Fresh EVO 4.2.0.0
Anyone have any ideas... I use this as my alarm and it's made me late to work several times now and I just can't have that.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Brian
I had that problem with one rom I used, I forgot which one. But basically the htc clock widget was the problem, thinking you were in a different time zone. Remove that widget, and use another one. I prefer Simi Clock Widget
Hi.
Well I had hoped it was something this simple. I replaced the widget as suggested with the simi clock (which I actually like better... thanks) and I installed an alarm app to replace the alarms I was using via the stock widgit thing.
I am really thinking this is a Sprint issue now as I was going to lunch with a buddy of mine yesterday and he had the same issue at the same time. He asked me if my phone was an hour off and mine was. He then said whelp it is fixed, and mine flipped to the correct time. Then seconds later both of our changed back to being an hour behind.
Again this morning (and still now) it's an hour early... so my 8:30 am alarm just went off at 9:30am which reminded me to post up here again.
Any suggestions besides calling Sprint and banging my head against a stupid tech that doesn't believe me?
Thanks,
Brian
If you wanted to keep the original clock and settings theres an app on the market called Clocksync, it syncs to the atomic clock, works hella good.
fixes clock drfiting, especially if you have multiple clocks on every screen , like me.
works for root and stock users.
I downloaded clocksync today and set that up. Hopefully that solves the problem. I'll post up once I test for a few days.
Thanks,
Brian
MIne would do that also after I rooted it with unrevoked and was running the stock rom. It would tell me my location was somewhere in Russia with their time. Would have to go into settings and manually enter time zone instead of using network time. Then after a while (randomly) would swith back again and I would have to start over. Only did it though after I rooted. Not bare bone stock ruu.
Seems as if loading clock sync and using that instead of Sprint for time sync has fixed my problem.
My friend that was having the same issue also did this and it has fixed his problem also.
Thanks,
Brian
My wife's clock widget was doing that after one of the OTA updates last winter, then a later one seems to have fixed it.
Neither of us have the problem now as we've both rooted and gone to a gingerbread kernel that doesnt exibit the problem.
I had this problem for a while, found that my router was set to the wrong time zone and the phone would update from the router when it was connected to it and would not change back till it checked the Sprint network. Never figured out how to force it to check Sprint though. It was fixed with a small update from Sprint a little while back.

I had the same problem and restarted my device. At first it displayed the same (incorrect) time, but then it quickly changed to the correct time. Mine was about 20mins ahead.

I had the same issue - got mine a few days ago - after reading the post here I did a full device reset and set it up again with my phone. Been going for about a day and no issues. I wonder if it was an issues with having the new update right out of the box. Who knows. But if your having this issue a quick reset and setup and no issues. Will repost if something changes.

I've had my Moto 360 for over a week now ... love it, recommend it to everyone I know
But I'm having the same problem now. My watch just won't keep time, and it's getting worse and worse (i.e. farther off of the real time). Everything else seems fine - I still get notifications so I know the watch is paired to my phone correctly, my phone's time is set by the carrier and remains correct throughout the day, etc. But now my Moto 360 will "slip" forwards in time by over 20 minutes! I have to double-check the time on my phone every time I check on my watch now, which needless to say is not a very good feature in a watch.
Restarting the watch and reconnecting in Android Wear does fix the time syncronization, but having to reboot my watch a couple times a day is not very desirable obviously. I've reset my watch (Reset device in settings) twice now, rebooted my phone, wiped Android Wear's settings on my phone and uninstalled then reinstalled it - same thing, incorrect time on my watch after anywhere from 1 to 6 hours.
It was perfectly fine when I first got it, and perfectly fine (even better!) after the update. It would be marginally less awful if I could re-sync the time without having to restart my watch, but disconnecting via Android Wear and/or turning Bluetooth off then on again, un-pairing the watch then re-pairing it, etc., all have no effect for me. Super lame :crying:
If I could manually set the time, I could deal with that.
I have time problems as well, but only....

My time-problems comes only when I load any of the clockfaces from "Facer", then it goes a whole hour off.
Some watch faces do not move the hour hand until the second hand advances thru the full hour. Could that be the case?
I got the same problem!!
It was 15 mins ahead and all the sudden the time was corrected by itself...

Just restart the watch. Once it pairs again, the time will be set correctly.

This is not a solution?? You can't look at the watch and not be able to trust the time, without checking your phone to see if it's right?? then sync again. It's a watch!!! It's it's core job. It should be able to be trusted to be right!!!
Mine has been out between 5 and 15 mins 3 times in the last 2 days, always fast. So not a refresh of screen issue.
I use Facer too, but even when I swipe to a standard watch face they are out too, until I do some sysnc with the phone.
I'm going to keep on a standard watch face today, and see what happens. Can't it really be facer? surly it just report the time on the device, will not change anything??
i have reported to Moto too, they know of no issue. Suggest everyone does the same.
On moto forum too;
https://forums.motorola.com/posts/75d3867b9d
Reads like it's a bug in latest firmware. Anyone got confirmation from Moto of this?
I just read on Android Forums that this may be related to wifi router software being out of date. YMMV.
