OK.. Here is my problem.
I set my location in TF3D as Boca Raton, FL (Eastern time zone).
Everything looks great, then I notice my appointments are off by several hours.
I go into the system clock setting and notice it is set to -12 (instead of -5 which Eastern time is).
I change it to -5 and then when I go back to my home screen my clock has chaned to being several hours off.
If I go into World Clock, it shows "LOCAL TIME" correct, but the city I added (Boca Raton) as now being several hours off.
How can I make this bloody phone understand that BOCA RATON is IN THE EASTERN TIME ZONE !!!!!
I feel your pain
Anyway, I turned the bloody locations setting off, and manually selected my location.
Under settings, location settings you can turn this off.
Since my location does not work anymore, weather for My location was also not being displayed correctly, so I used below register tweak to remove the "my location" from the weather tab.
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\weather.EnableCurrentLocation set to 0
I still have "my location" under the World Clock, however have my location selected manually. This keeps time correct all the time, and shows correct weather on my animated clock.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

just tell all your appointments that you got stuck in traffic and will be a few hours late...no biggie...
Actually I found the solution on here.
The cities I had been picking were ones I added using the Weather Database Editor.
The weather location database is actually a small SQL database disguised as a manila file and it is used for more than just weather (ie: World Clock). Using the Weather Database Editor to add locations only adds some info into the SQL tables such as city, state, country, and weather code, but nothing for time zone.
Using a tool called SQLLiteAdmin I opened the database (on my PC, not phone) and added in the info for timezone, etc to the cities I had previously added.
Copied manila file back to phone. Rebooted and SHA-BANG!! It was fixed.
Oh if you go to the time & date settings under the actual Settings in WM 6.5, rather than through the Manila home tab interface, you can change the timezone there without a problem and then all of your appointments are correct.
I figured this out before, forgot about it, then figured it out again and it should be locked into memory now.

I used this thread to fix this same problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=570771

Hi Guys,
Forgive me if i missed this in the search, but I couldn't find this subject already covered.
My issue is, that the clock on my TP2 keeps setting itself one hour ahead. I set the country and city ofcourse for my location but cannot find the settings for automatic/manual summer/winter time or where ever i might have missed setting a proper timezone.
Thanks for any feedback
Do you have automatic daylight correction switched on?
Originally yeah butonly when I first got it not anymore since I
changed the setting. typing this reply on it too cool!

err... i might have, but i cannot seem to find the setting... pointer please?
thanks
I found with my phone (I am in Perth, Western Australia) that my time kept getting set to a timezone that was GMT + 8 but that was on daylight savings and so my time was 1 hour out.
I fixed it by turning off auto time update:
- All settings
- Personal
- Phone
- Time Zones
- Uncheck 'Automatic change time zone and clock'
Hope that helps.
Thanks dude, i found the setting now.
The really odd part is, that the setting wasn't checked on... I tried that now and will update when i know if the clock keep setting itself one hour ahead
OK i found out that the clock still sets itself one hour ahead regardles of the setting to automatically change timezones in the phone settings. any other help is much welcome thanks guys.
Are your pc and phone on the same regional setting?
I had a similar problem when mine wasn't
the pc is set for the correct time zone, and i cannot find the place on the phone to set the timezone manually, except if the home city has anything to do with it
Ok, have you used the Weather Database Editor to add you home location to the system?
If so, the you need to go to the thread that you downloaded the weather app from, and on page 3, I think, are the instructions rto edit the weather file. the weather app misses a bit apparently
no, my city was already on the list to chose from ...
The weather has stopped appearing in the calendar day view and I have no idea why. I can't find any menu options to get it back. Anyone got any ideas?
Displaying of weather depends on configuration of local time in calendar, local time put on city, name of city in panel of weather in setups of local times like

I'd noticed this had happened on my phone as well, I suspect it's related to software I've installed but I've not had the time ( or motivation) to hard reset and start again one app at a time.

I had the same issue. Discovered it is related to the clock setting. If you select GMT time it will no longer display the the weather on the day view of the calendar tab. If you set your time by city it displays the weather (for the following 4 days.).
The My Location weather setting has been working fine until recently...
It now says I'm in somewhere called Kone, when I'm actually in Madras (Chennai) at the moment.
I don't ever alter my clock time when I travel as it buggers up the time for events in the calendar, which I prefer to be at the time.
Any ideas what's wrong?
My Location is based on you closest weather station, not on your home location. In other words, if you go to some other city, your "My Location" changes to that new location where you are now actually located. I have the same situation, I like in town X but when I am actually at home it reads town Y which is next to my town but has a closer weather station.
Nope that helps.
Oops, sorry.
Hi guys,
I am trying to figure out how to get rid of My Location from my clock and from the weather tab completely. I have tried taking off My Location in the setting and I have checked "Automatically decline location service". But I still have My Location in the clock and weather tab.
The reason I want to get rid of it is because my phone jumps 1 hour ahead at least twice a day. I have to change it back to my time zone by touching on the clock.
Also is there a way of stopping the flip back graphics of the clock?
Cheers!
Hi,
to get rid of my location from weather you have to set to 0 the following key in registry:
"HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\weather.EnableCurrentLocation" (dword)
to instruct the clock not to use my location at all but the city you manually set you have to uncheck "automatic change time zone and clock" in phone settings, time zones tab.
hope this helps,
Radu
unzip and copy file to windows directory to stop clock flip.
cool thanks alot guys!
unchecked those settings, see how it goes

Hey, i'm using an Energy Rom and I don't see the time zone setting anywhere on the phone...is it disabled for some reason? (HTC tilt2)
HTC TP2 Home screen Weather won't use "my location" to update location via GPS
There are a handful of posts on this out there about this, but I want to see if anyone's willing to try some registry editing to fix this (or has any fresh ideas).
I have a Verizon HTC TP2 running Manila/Sense 2.5.20132227.0 (MR3 update). Actually, I have TWO identical handsets. On the one I'm using (less scratches on the screen), the Home screen weather is stuck on Boston (which is near where I live). I cannot get it to use "My Location" (update my weather based on my gps position). Note that the Weather tab works fine, and will update the top "My Location" page based on gps position. However, it won't display on the Home tab. One other note: on the Weather tab, the first page is My Location, the second is Boston. I cannot remove or rearrange either of these locations.
On the other handset, it works just fine. Note that I CAN remove/rearrange the Boston location on the Weather tab, unlike on the other handset.
I've poked around in the registry, and it looks like there are keys there to enable/disable My Location, but I haven't been able to get it to work. Does anyone have any ideas? Is someone more versed than myself in registry editing willing to figure out what settings I should change to fix this?
Thanks, it's absolutely driving me nuts.
As I know, Manila's weather tab decide your location via your IP address which the phone used to update the weather through internet, but not your GPS. So you may got a little error on your actual location via IP address.
You can delete Boston from the HTC World Clock setting panel(Just click the big clock of Manila)
"My Location" will always the first city, you can't arrange it or delete it. If you just want your city show first, for example:New York, just go to World Clock setting panel, add the city New York, and set it as default.
