WM6 for HTC S310 aka Oxygen

Anyone know where I can get the WM6 ROM for the HTC S310?
I'm in the US and have T-mobile.
An official ROM would be great, but a cooked version will suffice. I know there is someone out there who downloaded an official version. If they would just post the 3rd party site that would rock.
If an official ROM is not available and there are no cooked versions, how do you port a WM6 ROM for the T-mobile Dash to the S310?

Sorry if this sounds like I'm being a jerk; however I'm failing to realize how that post is relevant? I read it before I posted and all that MSMobiles site says is that its not free, not that it's not available...
I know that T-mobile released a ROM for the Dash, and I believe that HTC released ROMs for other phones.
What I would like to know is, have they, or anyone, released a ROM for the S310?

ms release it officially then the manufacturers then roll it out for their devices. htc is just one manufacturer of wm devices and you also get network branded devices i.e tmobile mda vario 5. in case of a network branded device you will need to wait for them to provide an update if they do it at all.
then there is xda where none of that matters! as soon as MS release officially there will be all the variants of it on here! once hard spl is out for this device mate watch out

The official ROM from HTC will be posted on their web site (reasonably soon after the release from MS):

You'll find it under the Support (tab) on the web site. Just select the country/region of your phone (at the top right of the HTC's site) and select the phone.
The ROM update comes as a windows installer - just follow the instructions.
This is safer that blasting on custom ROMs for the squeamish like me

In case you mean "HSDPA" that is a cellular network connection that allows you to do voice and data at the same time. (i.e. surf the internet or send MMS while talking on the phone).
If you mean Hard SPL, read the link provided above.

when will ROM with wm6.5 will come out here?
I'm considering buying a new TP2 (I have a TP with wm6.5) but I want to change when wm6.5 is available for TP2.
I guess I won't be used to WM6.1 anymore... lol

Upgrade HTC 8525

I have HTC 8525 unlocked. I am from USA using T-Mobile as Carrier. I have WM 6.0 can I upgrade it to 6.5. if yes where can i download it. pls give me the links.

u need to flash HardSPL first, then download a custom rom of your choice, and flash via the Custom RRU or the SD card method.
use Active sync(xp) or Windows mobile device center (vista) when u connect with PC.

I'm not trying to be a butthead here but, if you can not figure out the search button at the top of the forum, i highly suggest you NOT try to upgrade.

Best bet is to search the WIKI. It has the answers for your questions.

you should read up on it to be sure but normally a flash it a flash it don't matter if you go to a newer or older rom

Can anyone please guide me. Im little confused here.
I have TP2 with Windows 6.1 with ROM version of 1.19.702.2 Date: 06/22/09
Now I want to update it to Windows 6.5 and latest ROM
Will directly installing from following link, will it install Windows 6.5 and update ROM to latest as well?

Those are the same thing, you can't install WM6.5 without flashing the whole ROM.
You want the first link you posted, if you want the latest update. The second link you posted is from 2009.

So from the ROM update from the 1st link it will also install Windows 6.5 on my mobile? or it will just update the ROM?

Updating the ROM is flashing Windows Mobile to your phone. Windows is not installed like it is on your PC to a hard-drive. It is 'flashed' into the ROM of your phone (along with other useful Apps and drivers). Flashing a different ROM will give you a different version or flavour of WM. (TP2 can run WM6.1, WM6.5 or WM6.5.x).

Who is your carrier? I know that T-Mobile has an official Windows Mobile v6.5 ROM available for their T-Mobile branded phones. So you may want to check with your carrier to see if they have one for you.
I did try the official Windows Mobile v6.5 ROM from T-Mobile and it was OK. But I had already been trying out various WM 6.5.x ROMs off of XDA before I tried out their official ROM.
To try out a customized ROM from here you'll have to do a few things first. If you are using a GSM TP2 (ATT, T-Mobile, etc) I'd advise going to the Touch Pro 2 Windows Mobile ROM Development page and read through a few posts first, specifically the thread Flashing your first GSM Rhodium ROM (for Noobs).
If you are using a CDMA TP2 (Verizon, Sprint) I'd recommend going to the Touch Pro 2 CDMA page for threads about ROMs for the CDMA TP2 and then reading the thread RhodiumW Hard-SPL Release.
Then don't hesitate to ask questions. There are plenty of people here on these forums that are willing to help.

As stated before this is very dependent on the type of device which you own so be careful when doing so. If you have a GSM (Att/T-mobile) device look in the upgrades section for that if you have a CDMA device (Sprint/Verizon) look in the upgrades section there. Read how to unlock and then you can flash a 6.5 or even 6.5.x ROM which is the latest in windows mobile. Be aware that flashing a ROM will wipe all your data it is not a simple upgrade procedure, you will need to get all your contacts, settings, apps, etc back on your device on your own so make sure you backup everything beforehand.

I recently received my TP2 with Windows 6.1 with ROM version of 1.19.702.2 Date: 06/22/09. Also from Hong Kong.
I am thankful to find this thread and the great info here. But I have a similar situation with some additional questions.
Do I post the questions here?

If you want a stock windows without void warranty, you can from official website HTC download actuall ROM. You must write there you P/N so they know if the upgrade is for your TP2. If not, change country at their site and try again till you find the right ROM.
Example: i could not download till i didnt change country to czech republic.
