Hi guys, today we will talk about HTC Sense UI for Windows Mobile. For those who don't know what HTC Sense UI is, it's the new UI implemented by HTC on his own new Hero Android-based device. Now you know what are we talking about .

In order, you should know that it's not the exactly version that HTC Hero has. But it's still a good theme, maybe the best ever made for Windows Mobile. In fact there is another good skin for PointUI Home 2, but it's a little unstable.
Xda-devs were able to make a Vogue running the real (Hero one) HTC Sense, but for testing purpose only. In fact it was slow, lagging, and containing a lot of bugs and glitches.
But let's return back to our HTC Sense UI skin for Windows Mobile.
In order to run it, you must have a clean installation of SPB Mobile Shell 3.5. Click here to download it. (Remember that it's a 14-days trial version, and after the expire date you must buy it)

i´ve installed SPB Shell 3.5 then i´ve install the WVGA cab... restart my system and.... hmpf i have the bottom from the sense but the other things are original... why???
need install of widjets for icons and weather/clock.

Hi,you can post in english on Mobilecustom too .Otherwise it's not very complicate :
- Install spb MS 3.5 .
- Install Sence theme ( it's cab ) .
- Do a soft reset to see the theme .
cant see the lower task buttons because i have Windows Mobile 6.5.1 (23081)

A word of warning to all those trying this program. To uninstall it you have to use activesync. When you have spb mobile shell active, sense/tf3d does not seem to be able to load. This will result in the setting page being unable to load and thus unable to go to the uninstall programs page. I am using miri 6.5 v12, where the setting option leads to sense's setting page.

I don't have such problem. I remember ms3.5 allow you to reture to titanium and from there, you can uninstall as per normal. Have have already uninstall mine using this way.
Uninstall sense UI
To uninstall sense UI , just reinstall ms3 and all your settings wil be back to the way it was

I've just finish upgrading the .3des v2, using the guide from mrvanx; meaning to say, i have upgrade to HardSPL and radio v1.38... all with no problem...
Now, just reloading the page and say what??... In the few minutes... i'll be using the DOGPOOH IN BLACK!

The rom is normally as it goes out from the kitchen with all the OEM changes... all the ext changes well not so all... seems to work fine it has at first boot 18.78 MB ram cause in the pics says 13 mb.
mmm the only thing i dislike is "NO COMMMANAGER"

to take the shots i had it connected to the computer and some programs were running on the hermes, looking at it now its around 18mb free so its just a bit wierd really. could you tell me what file was changed to change the rom date because i looked for it but i couldnt find the right part and if you can tell me how u changed the colours on the comm manager and the options menu bit.

The TXT was deleted cause the txt files in the kitchen works as initflashfiles... i think it could be fixed by doing those file into xml... ask to FCW he is trying to fix that thing.

cause FCW try to implement the pointui to his rom once and the bak files gets deleted and are essential for the plug to work... now the TXT files... is imprtant to know wich files dislikes to the kitchens.

You must to read the wiki pages to see if you are SPL unlocked...
if yes... just upgrade to wm6.5
If not... Dont try it!!!....
its better you to read the HSPL link that every chef post first at their rom threads... you need to enter into Bootloader mode and check what does your IPL and SPL say... the n post here you info and you need to tell us what it says on the back behind the batt herm200 100? its sim unlocked? i mean works with all the sim cards?
Us and you needs this info to void brick your phone...

Great Job with the V2!! I would recommend a modified Mobile Shell 3 theme. I've seen one that is pretty cool styled after Titanium. Perhaps one styled after TF3D?

Q. What are the thread rules?

Q. Which device I need, to use your ROM's?
A. You need HTC Diamond with Unsigned 1.40 OliNex HardSPL.
Q. Which OS I need to flash your ROM's to my device?
A. You can flash using any OS i suppose, my tested one is Windows 7.
Q. How can i determine version of my ROM?
A. There are two main versions in ROMs, one is the Windows Mobile Version, second is CE OS version, third is my custom Build Version. Windows Mobile and CE OS versions can be find in the introduction part or you can go to Settings > About on your Wizard.
Q. How do I change the today screen wallpaper?
A. There are 2 steps if you are using TF3D Editions or else use only 1st one if you are using other editions.
1. Open Picture & Videos; Choose the image; Go to start menu; Tap on "Set as today Back......." and there you have option to select transparency level; Tap OK.
2. Go to settings tab in TF3D; Tap on Home Wallpaper and choice your image. This only changes the home screen wallpaper of TF3D.
Q. How do I enable/disable TF3D Tabs?
A. There are two ways:
1.If you have TF3D then use Diamond TF3D Config to do that
2.If you have TF3D2.1 then goto Settings Tab and click on Customize Tabs

Q. My Built-in WM6.5 Call Recorder is Recording the callers voice in low volume, how can i fix it?
A. Goto Start>Settings>System>Microphone AGC and "Enable" it.
Q. Where are my Recorded Calls saved??
A. They are saved to \My Documents\Notes directory.
Q. How can i have (Windows Mobile) Keyboard as my Default SIP?
A. Use this CAB (Keyboard as Default SIP.cab)
Q: X/OK Button isnt working, what do i do?
A. You just need to install this CAB, and Soft Reset.

Hey Guys!!My First ROM for the HTC Diamond will be out(just uploading), don't count me in amateur Cooks or new Cooks coz i come from the HTC Wizard forum and am well experienced, but still im new to this TF3D world, so ill need a little bit time to adjust My first ROM for the HTC Diamond will be out, its WM6.1 Build 21054 with the all new TF3D2.1 Interface Your guys are most welcome to use/test my ROMs and report bugs, give suggestions and well admire my work if you like it. This looks very promising. I'll stick with the yozgatg's rom for now as I need a properly working audio manager (TF3D tab). 40% Ram usage is very impressive. How did you manage to do that?
Also are you considering including EZinput 2.1?

Well it isnt 40% RAM usage, the RAM usage is 60%, 40% RAM is free and im considering EzInput 1.5 coz 2.1's animations while typing slow down my typing and i use my diamond mostly for messaging and ill get the Audio Manager TAB working too (INSHALLAH)
EDIT: The fix for the Audio Manager TAB is up now u wanna try it, maybe

How to improve battery life
- If you do not use 3G, goto Start\Settings\Personnal\Phone click on the Band tab an change your network type to "GSM".
- If you do not use Bluetooth, goto Start\Settings\Connectionsl\Beam and disable "Receive all incoming beams".
- Make sure that on Wi-Fi Settings the Power Save Mode is set to "Best Battery"
How to recover some RAM
-Goto Start\Tools\cleanRAM Config choose Level 3 and hit "Clean Now"

- Do a Hard reset after flash

Firstly thanks a lot for your great work. Just now saw new build 23047
Anyways, I am having following issues with 6.3 SE [23045]
Cannot see contacts in dialer
All the sliders are very small
WiFi is disabled
No scroll bars in word, excel, etc.
Performance is very nice.
It has 2 batterier icon on the dial board…………
This is what I've found so far.
1. Can't operate wit sliders;
2. Start -> Settings -> Personal - Only two settings-menus available. There's no menu where I can write my Personal information;
3. Alarm menu - No letters for the days of the week;
4. Some options like Power Settings are off the screen.
The positive thing is that the ROM is very finger friendly and very responsible when trying to open menus and items.

1- garmin cannot read GPS com
2- Sometimes answer button dose not work while the phone is locked

- Opera 9.7 first didn't work (only strange symbols). I fixed this by copying tahoma.ttf and tahomabt.ttf to my \windows folder. Maybe you could include those fonts (another way would be to change the opera.ini to use included fonts).
- The title-bar is somewhat strange. If I tap on it, there is the "old" popup with Battery, "G", ... After tapping on an item, I get the new popup menu. I think it would suffice to show only one of them Would make interaction quicker and easier.
Why did you include JBlend-Java? For me it doesn't support tapping on the screen for operamini, I prefer JBed-java. But I'm not sure about other advantages/disadvantages of the two java engines...

The theme contains
- slider bar and icons
- wallpapers high res for all tabs
- wallpaper (semi-)high res (512x512) for home tab
- wallpaper for landscape (music and photo's&video's tab)

Manila is an extra "shell" that HTC puts on top off WM6.
It's what make your HTC so beautiful

I used a trick to overcome a problem with manila 2.5 showing a black stripe across the screen.
Is that what you are referring to?

My stock rom was a dutch version with old manila, so I've used USPL to change that.

I recognize your frustration, because I'm only a "junior" member myself and it's only since recent that I try to skin the Blackstone.
Skinning has (more or less) only to do with images and not as much with programming. I have very limited knowledge about the programming part.
So here is how I see it:
WM6.1 is your operating system (comparable to xp or vista on your desktop.
Manila is an extra shell. You have manila 1.3 (like I did)
WM6.1 and Manila are put in the Read Only Memory (ROM) of the Blackstone.
Because it's read only, you can't write in a normal way to this memory. Flashing can been seen as a special way to write in this "read only" memory.
What is referred to as a ROM on this forum is actually WM6 and Manila and ....) that will be written in the ROM of your Blackstone.
You can flash (change to) Manila 2.5 directly. It's not necessary to go via 2.1 to 2.5.
How to flash a ROM is explained in the link I gave you earlier.
I recommend that you read this thoroughly!
The rom that I flashed to get manila 2.5 (and keep WM6.1) is found here:

If you like to, you can flash any Rom found in the Blackstone ROM development section. Even with WM6.5.
I hope that this is good enough for you to get started. It takes a lot of reading of posts on this forum to get a bit of understanding. I only pointed out two threads, but you probably need to read more before you can flash!

So what I am saying is that you better worry about your own patience.

I really don't know, but if it's manila 2.5 on your Diamond I guess it can be done by installing the cab.
If it doesn't work you can always uninstall the cab.

i've flashed my phone. it is now 1.56, but i have weird colours

it took 30 seconds or something like that, nothing has been erased and i can synchronize my phone with achtivesync.
BlackstoneRUUWrapper doesn't work.
the steps i followed dont say anything about a hard reset, but some other threads say you always have to do a hard reset after flashing. what is a hard reset?

It turns out that I should have named the theme
[Theme] OSX style (manila 2.5 & WM6.1)
So for those who already are using WM6.5 here is a fix for the taskbar and commandbar (aka softkeybar).
The cab puts an image in the windows directory and edit the registry for it.
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\SoftKeyBar - SoftKeyBarThemeImage
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\TaskBar - TaskBarThemeImage
The image is the same as what you see at the preview in post #1.
