Installation Instructions: WM 6.5 Only!
Make sure you've got SDK Certs installed First, install then soft-reset and continue to the next step!
Go to Start > Settings > Today > Items , and disable the "Windows Default" checkbox
Copy rp_thm_titanium_pyro.cab to your device and run it, make sure you install it in your device and not the storage card and soft reset.
Go to Start > Settings > Today > Items, and enable the "Windows Default" checkbox
For the wallpaper and other menu elements go to Start > Settings > Today and select the theme from the list then apply.
Enjoy!
Tested on WWE Version of WM 6.5
If you ever want to go back to your original Titanium default theme, download rp_thm_titanium_default_restore.cab and perform the EXACT same process as above but with this file instead of the theme cab.

I use Adobe Fireworks for all the graphics, I've even put together templates where I can simulate what it's going to look like. I also have templates for icons and bars all with the appropriate sizes so that all I have to do now is let my imagination fly.

Alright, how does fireworks relate to photoshop?
Also, how do you edit the theme files (still .tsk in WM6.5? I'm on 6.1 myself atm)?

Fireworks is basically a hybrid between photoshop and illustrator. Works both vectors and bitmaps flawlessly. Since Fireworks uses .png as it's native format, makes it incredibly convenient. The actual Titanium theme for the main interface (Today slider & icons) goes inside the bronzeres.dll . The rest of the stuff (wallpaper, selection menu backgrounds and so on) goes on a .tsk (there's some sample ones available in the theme dev forum). So it's basically a two piece thing, the .dll and the .tsk.
*EDIT* There's another piece to the puzzle, the .cpr file wihch handles the actual layout in which items will show on the today screen, you don't really need to edit this but if you want to make a theme different from the rest you'll need to use this.

Hey guys, I decided to "pimp my X1" to a 6.5
The only thing is that it all seems to complicated for me after reading all the different threads. So can anyone post a step by step prcedure for this, and exact links for where to download this stuff. I would be greatful.
I already formated my phone, and just waiting for the next steps.

Just follow the step by step instructions in the first post, they are numbered. The download links are right below it where it says "rapidshare" and "megaupload", if you need more clarification, please be a bit more specific so we can better help you.

What i wanna know, is how to make my 6.1 X1 into a 6.5
Because i dont get all the flashing you ROM and Hard-SPL stuff.
So you see, i dont have the WM 6.5 to start with, so that i can change it to this theme.
I hope this clarifies my problem. Imagine you just bought the phone, how can i make it a WM 6.5

Hey rpereira, I noticed an Evernote application in the screenshot you have. I love this panel, but sadly it requires an internet connection. Would the one you have by any chance be an offline Evernote app one somehow? coz the microsoft notes sucks, its in black only, at least my old w960 had colors.
Can you list the applications you have, because i'm looking for some new ones. i'm bored from using the same ones, especially the TCMP for videos (its not finger-friendly at all).

Ok, I'd suggest you upgrade itje's Touch IT WM 6.5 rom, in my opinion it's the best out there. PM me for details.

Go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=477801. You'll find all the ROM's there and info on HARD-SPL. Hard SPL is easy, just follow the instructions given there .
Download any Cooker's 6.5 ROM. I flashed Itje's 6.5 ROM but faced some issues with the message option. Waiting for an update from Itje.
I'm currently using Gtrab's 6.5 ROM. Work's like a charm!
I prefer to flash through SD card. Here're the steps to flash from SD.
Once you've HARD-spl'd your phone, rename the 'ruu_signed.nbh' file in the downloaded ROM to 'Kovsimg.nbh'. Format your SD card and then transfer 'Kovsimg.nbh' to your SD root.
Completely shut off your phone. Press and hold volume down key and power down key and wait for the rainbow screen. It will load the 'Kovsimg.nbh' image automatically. Press power button to start update of image. When its done updating, you have to perform a hard reset. HARD RESET: hold down both silver buttons at the bottom and hold down power button. Press R to reset to manufacturer settings when asked. Press SPACE. You're DONE!!!

Changelog:
This CAB covers WM6.5 and Manila2.5 highlights, but not standard applications such as the Calculator and YouTube. These are available as separate downloads for whomever wants to extend the theme further. Touch Input is also skinned, as well as PIN-screen and half the dialer.
Known issues:
1. Only half of dialer (phcanImages2.dll) works atm as I cannot seem to get a hold of phcanImages.dll from this ROM.
Installation:
For some reason the DLLs don't want to be installed via CAB (compressed or not). So copy and replace DLLs from RAR-archive to Windows directory with Total Commander or Resco File Explorer.
Enjoy what I've got so far, and report any remaining green or graphical glitches if you wanna help out.

I'll try beta2 (installed beta1 late last night but didn't have time to test yet). I can't copy phcanImages.dll with resco explorer or total commander, so I can't get you that. Maybe ask Itje for it or extract the rom?

I have extracted the ROM via kitchen, the DLL shows up as module, and when I try to use RecMod.exe to re-assemble the module into DLL-file, nothing seems to happen.

Hi MrRusch! I have installed on Valkyrie v2.9FS-G but somehow it did not work, only the 3G icon and the battery icon were changed. I have succesfully copied the dll's to windows directory but still no change. Have i done anything wrong? btw, should this also supposed to change the iconset on each TF3D tabs? If not, would it be possible for you to share the cab file or provide me the link of the iconset? Thanks

I'm not sure if I'm understanding you correctly. Nothing changed color-wise? Still all green? Did you install the CAB on your phone? Soft-reset? If colors still dont change then it must be difference in manila versions, but someone said it worked on Valkyrie ROM as well, I'm confused.. The DLLs are supposed to change the Touch Input keyboard, the PIN-screen, and parts of the dialer.
Concerning the TF3D tabs, this CAB does not include new icons. HTC Mega Slider is what you are looking for. I don't know if they have it here at XDA, but otherwise you may wanna sign up at HTCpedia.com and go here.

The person who reported that it is working uses a valkyrie 2.8 FS rom by Agent_47. Mine was from the same chef but on a newer ROM which is valkyrie 2.9. Anyway, thanks and i appreciate it so much for providing the link on the TF3D tab icons.

Come on people, please read what you are flashing! Valkyrie 2.9 is no Manilla 2.5!

Energy ROM does not have Manila 2.5. Uninstall the CAB.

As Manila 2.5 is in such an early beta stage, I will not be making ROM-specific editions yet. As it developes fully (landscape support etc) and becomes more stable, I will create such versions.

@laurence0609: Why ask here? Just use the blue theme from Valkyrie himiself. It's in his third post in his Valkyrie topic.

I've got Touch X 10.1 ULTIMATE X-TREME "MrRusch BLUE EDITION" ROM. Would this cab be compatible in your opinion, or do I have to have a WinMo 6.5 ROM with Manila 2.5 already on it? Your work looks cool as hell, and would love to have that instead of Manila 2.1!

I can't take credit for the images. I took most of the images from the Internet and modified some of the original manila files e.g. I've added reflection to the three stock images and one of the footprint images (only the one on the bar and not the images on the selector and settings page).
Use the cab or copy the individual manlia files from the zip to the windows folder on your device.

How did you manage that? maranello's cab creator doesn't work for 2.5 tab icons.

puting manila files in cab
that's a trick
I didn't load any wallpaper but went directly to create cab
then I selected the folder with my manila files in the left part and pushed he button [add files] and they appeared at the right part.
did not select wallpaper or anything else just created the cab (and renamed it).
but I found an even better way here:

it does more than only copy files. it can do registry entering too
that's great!
now I can change the color of the taskbar too.
When I've figured out how the wallpapers are working in manila 2.5 I want to post a complete (more or less) theme on OSX style.

Hi there,
Is there a slider with OSX icons for Wm 6.1 TouchFlo 2.0
I just got my phone (HTC Diamond 2) & would love to have the OSX icons, but don't know how to get them.
These here do not work in my device and the HDWall Slider part does not work, calling me not have proper version of .NET framework (I updated it to as fresh version as possible).
Please, help me guys if you would have a moment.
Would very much appreciate your help.

Did not know, that it does not work for others as well

unfortunately HTC changed the *_manila files with the different manila versions.
I think that's why it is so difficult to make a skinning application like HDwal.

Hi There,
When I changed to a new rom I found out that version 1 of my theme didn't work. The images had to be rearranged in to a new size.
So I did that and made some other changes too.
In version 2 a slider bar is included to get a more OSX stylish look.
Some of the newer HTC icons were already with reflection and I must say that I like some of them better than the icons I put into V1.
The newer manila 2.5 has an added feature, namely the date on the calendar Tab icon. So I kept more of the original icons in this new version.
The guitar is also a bit bigger.
Tip: rearrange the tab order to have the music tab in view on your home tab for easy (direct) access. [home; messages; mail; calendar; music]
In post #1 are a zip file and a cab available.
(the zip includes the png-files)

I don't know which manila files to use. I've gone from manila 1.3 directly to 2.5.
But the images can be found on my deviant (link in my signature).
PS did you try the v1 cab? maybe you're lucky and it works.

Searching for a stable clean non-twiked ROM, many people always returning to stock ROM. But terrible, there is a WM 6.1! So now, if you are looking for stable, not modifyed and with diamond's native TouchFlo 1 ROM, this thread is yours. Some words about.
OS: WM 6.5.0.60 build 23081
ROM: ~125MB
RAM (total 113MB) load:
-TF1.2: ~60%
-Titanium: ~54%
Pagepool: 8MB

What's inside:
-TouchFlo 1.2 with required components(see notes)
-Advanced Config 3.3
-G-config
-HTC Calculator
-G-sensor calibrator
-Microsoft Live and Widgets
-D3D driver and NET.CF 3.5 that're works well.

Notes:
-No Opera.9.5 seems to be old,9.7 and later are doesn't integrate with TF link on internet tab.Looking 4 solution now..
-Standard Dialer.You may install others for your choice.
-So as you see, new standard "WM Blue" theme fits well to TouchFlo.
-No new-style lockscreen. It launches very slowly and eates almost 5MB RAM.
-Still the problem with g-sensor-based rotation..I don't know where to find well solution..you may use special programs like Gyrator or Changescreen.
-Why is Manila 1, nor v2, nor v2.5 etc? TouchFlo 1 is an official Diamond version,so it looks like it's created by HTC,without any porting from WVGA and so on.Also it works faster than any other version.
-Why pagepool is 8MB? Tryed several times. 6MB makes device very slow,10MB causes TF launching crash. When 8MB, TF launch crashes almost excluded,and diamond works well.Want to change PP size? No problem->Pagepool changer
-Want to ask something like 235xx or 28xxx? Not now. I tryed to build ROM on 28002, but it crashes very often, and usually result is HR.
-ROM isn't tweaked at all. No custom splashscreens, my signs or other "brandnames". Just feel you have a ROM from unknown publisher and only remember me if you have questions.
-I'am a not ROM maker. I just used combination of lobsterdave's kitchen and integreated 23081 build. So I'll only "try" to answer your questions.

-You flashing this only at your own risk.
-Remember,you need to flash HardSPL(for example Olinex 1.93)
-Make hardreset after flash..mm..Not only Shaolin' monks saying that it helps and so on)

So, now. i'm moving to new kitchen. Want to try cook lighter ROMs with TouchFlo 1.2 basics and nothin' more. Just discover some aspects:
OS: WM 6.5.3 build 23008
ROM: ~140MB(!)
RAM (total 113MB) load:
-TF1.2: ~62%
-Titanium: ~55%
Pagepool: 8MB
Here just testing myself an early beta version of ROM based on 28008. Seems the fly going well,some minor bugs. Just wait for some release men.

TouchFlo 1.2 is useless without Calendar tab - it's my opinion

I think it's a great idea. The later tf3ds are slow and I prefer the built in calendar.

Nice work! I've been using the conservative 21876 branch of Makeveral's BsB ROM with his Manila 1.2 to do the same thing. I like the old school looks, and the upgraded backend. Now that Makeveral is moving to the Leo, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.
Edit: Consider adding the manila 1.x Call History tab. It's a nice feature that I haven't seen for 2.1 or 2.5 yet.

It's always interesting how differently people use the same devices. On any new ROM, the first things I always disable are the calendar, stock, music, and internet tabs. They just eat RAM, and I find I seldom look at them. When I need those functions, I just launch apps from the programs tab as needed.

Firstly I wanted to make ROM on 218xx build. But basically I don't know how to reset position of TF.It always situated upper than bottom tab. If someone know how to fix this problem, the build will be here too.

Right. Although both versions are consuming almost equal RAM value, I noticed that 218xx works much faster, without dependence on if pagepool is 8MB or 10MB. But what I like in 23081 for ex., is that this build is practically similar to 23089/23509/28008. So that's why I used this. For typical diamond user the only difference between these builds only in numbers.

You can find several normal ROMs in xperia x1 thread,beleive me

Sounds like your kitchen has amarullz "e-Natives Position Fix" or "Manilapositionfix" for 6.5.1 built into it. It will shift things like Manila up a few pixels to account for the larger start bar on 6.5.1. If you can find and disable that package in the kitchen, you should be set.

[REQ] Customized slider icons for Cloudy's rom

Greetings,
I have a litle request from u guys.. i Kept trying to change my slider icon bar in cloudy's rom for so long, but they didnt change ... anyway, i found out am using slider icons for old manila on new manila. I searched for slider icons for manila 2.5 but didnt find any . However, i tried to make my own .. i downloaded HDwall , picked some icons that i liked .. and followed the steps on HDwall thread, but again , icons didnt change . So kindly , i will attach the icons i found good lookin and for anyone familiar with making those slider icons into a .cab ... i will really appreciate it if u make one for me . IF u r a black & blue lover .. u might like it too :d . Anyway , here are the attached files + the software info

from here http://www.ppcmods.com/sliders.html you can download ready Slider Icons set for Manila 2.5 just download the one you like and install

is there any guide about making those manila 2.5 sliders on my own?

You dont need a GUIDE once you have a Slider CAB you can open it with WinCE CAB Manager and extract the files, then with CFC GUI you can see them and export to PNG Files in your Desktop PC then you can see how they look like.. you can create your own icons they need t be exactly the same size etc like the default one and you can replace them with the CFC GUI after this you need to make them in one single cab again with WinCE and you are ready for all this things you need only 2 Programs and to find out by yourself..
Download WinCE CAB Manager and CFC GUI and you are ready to go.
P.S this is how i found how to make whole Themes by myself without a Guide and without anyone to explain me what i need so its not so hard and now i tell you what tools you need all others is in your hands. You can create sliders, clock, and many other things with this programs whole themes and mods etc.
And for future don`t write things like "slider icons for Cloudy's rom" because not all peoples know Cloudy ROM there have Touch FLO 3D. Sense 2.1 and Sense 2.5 so in this case that you are with 2.5 Sense you need to write only this because all the themes icons cabs etc who are made for 2.5 Sense will work in all the ROM`s with this version of Manila...

However as a manila file .. the icon in the cab looks like >>

Somehow ... while the icon from the .cab is shown in the top left corner and the rest is white .. its shown correctly on the device ( right size and no white background) .. while my icons are too big + they have a white background
Oh and in the cfc gui .. its written that the icons from the .cab are 8bpp,alpha formated while mine are 4bpp ( without that alpha thingy)
am really confused... any tips?

Of Course the files need to be PNG files and this white area is not white is TRANSPERENT so if you want to make this monitor icon the Monitor must to be smaler and to be in the same position exactly where is the original icon and the whole png to be again 256x256
Remember the most importmantly is the Image to be on the same place not only in the top left corner but exactly on the same place because if is a litle bit on left on the device will look more left or right so need to be on the exact place, see the example its ugly because i make it fast just to show you what i mean.
I make fast example the file need to look like this, when you download the file and open with any image editor you will see that this is not WHITE its fully Transperent
ALL image files in the Manila are like this they are not just Images they are PNGs with transperant and etc later when you try to do something other like clocks slider and other visual things you will see its everywhere the same, so once you understand about this you will be able to make everything
