I updates ...something... and for some reason, the new style 'thinking-wheel' (the 4 soft dots/balls) has reverted to the old style (roulette spinning Wheel). Does anyone have the file (or files) that I can replace to get the new style spinner back?
I got it... I installed a new set of task bar icons and the correct wheel came back. My guess is one of the previous task bar icon sets I installed came from an older version of icons and the wheel came along for the ride. None-the-less, it is back.

hi guys i need some guidence here, i restored from a backup but some of my today icons got lost, i remember back when i had a wallaby (woooow thats old) i used to tweak i think the order in the items catergory in the registry & they would come back, can someone refresh my memory please
what do you mean by Today's icon. Be specific. Are they the Today icon on any particular plugins? icons at the lower system tray? icons at the start menu? icons at the top start bar?
How can I arrange the icons in the application section? If I hold onto one of the icons it moves to the front. The front icons I can move around and delete, but I can't with the back icons (black screen) application icons. The back icons show up here when you download them originally from the market and I would like to remove them and rearrange them.
Unfortunately under the stock os you can't modify the icons like the other Galaxy S versions. The Epic uses touchwiz 2.5 instead of 3.0 which is on the captivate and vibrant.
I used Rom tool box to change the color of my status bar icons (individually different colors), but the new icon colors are reverted back to stock blue when I go to my home screen. I think that paranoid hybrid (per app) settings are somehow messing with this, but I can't figure out how to get them to stop and leave the rom tool box settings alone when on the home screen (trebuchet). I'm not really sure whats happening because I also have the status bar background set to transparent (in trebuchet), and it seem to randomly revert back to black every once in awhile.

Click to collapse
I figured it out, kinda. You can't really mix and match status bar icon colors from both hybrid settings and rom toolbox. You have to go with one or the other....just in case someone else runs into this problem
The new lollipop update has just been officially updated on my new lg g3. But I've noticed a few different things that I'm now unable to change. One being a very annoying one! The top status bar and the bottom nav bar....
I use Nova launcher and there's a setting on there that if your device allows it that the top status bar will be set to full transparent (not just translucent)... this now no longer works?! Instead I have a dark overlay as the status bar and the same applies to the Nav bar. If I use the I.original home launcher then it does at least become translucent again with a gradient effect.
Is there any way to have a FULL translucent status bar again on lollipop without rooting it? As I didn't really want to have to root this phone. But these small UI changes make all the difference to me! I just can't understand why something like that would be taken away :-\
Try the Google Now Launcher After you install it, you can switch it from Settings > Home.
And if you'd be interestedin Nokia ZLauncher, it's a cool new thing, it's simple and minimal. it uses Try to download from Google Store if it says you can't or not compatible with your devide, you can grab the apk file from THIS THREAD
I hope this works for you. let me know.
where are you from ?
Maybe I've been oblivious since I got my P6P but the quick tiles look different.
I'm still on Build 36 but I don't remember there being 4 small icons on my pulldown.
No...it's just another bug/glitch. Has happened to me a few times now. Restart system UI or reboot and it goes back to normal. I would rather have that with the icons and the labels underneath the icons. Android 12 notification shade is hideous imo.
I'd almost prefer going back to the older style with just the icons and then when you expand it you can get the new wide buttons.
