A Simple Denise Milani Theme
It took a while cause I wanted to make it as classy as i could... I didnt go for the cheesy perv crappy icon look...lol I took my time and made something classy and less pornish...
that and I couldnt let my wife see what I was working on.... kinda tricky sometimes... lol
she gets uptight if I am looking at racy pics sometimes
I made a icon dock with her sitting on the right side of the Home screen, the dock stretches for the whole wallpaper along the bottom, attached a home, delete, boot pic and one is what it looks like with icons on the dock.

Nice Theme I Just Have My Phone Looked At To Much To Be Called A "Pervert" Everyday. Would Get Old... Lol
I have a Samsung Captivate and was unable to find the dock sold in Canada at stores or online, so I decided to create a dock of my own.
All I used was a black sketching board (not bristol), black electrical tape and a few other items used to create the dock (scissors, ruler, pencil), also added two batteries for weight but anything else could work.
The dock in my opinion looks very good, I was aiming for a minimalistic look while making it sturdy as well. This dock is also very versatile, it can work in both landscape and portrait mode.
Overall time to make this was two hours *due to figuring out measurements and putting it precisely together*, but it was worth it. I saved myself several dollars which is always a plus.
If you are interested or have any questions about this, just ask!
I have uploaded a few pictures of process and final. (I wasn't able to upload each step by step process due to the picture limit of my account)
Cheers!
Nice!

Problem is.... and I'm NOT trying to be critical here, please understand that from the get go.... that ISN'T a dock, it is a stand! A dock also incorporates the charger so you "dock" the phone into the charging port so it automatically connects the cable. What you have, and it is very nice looking, no doubt about it, is a stand with a cable behind it, same as what I've done and most of us have done.
I've rigged a car charging DOCK up once, but the thing is SO fussy, if you are off by a fraction of a millimeter or don't push the phone all the way in with the strength of the Hulk it sometimes seems, then it won't charge the phone, and all those hours spent making something custom are wasted....
Looks good, again! Now make it charge the phone just by dropping it in!
Heya
This looks really nice, is there any way you could make a youtube video or something with the process? im definetly interested. The only image i saw with dimensions isnt enough :S.

Hello XDAForum
First I want to say, I'm french so sorry for my possible false english
I wanted to share a work we have carried out my brother and me.
Seeing the lack of beautiful docks smartphone market, we wanted to develop our own dock for HTC Desire and Wildfire.
With a little work and tips here the final work :
The Dock of the Wildfire has no "burden" because of the position of the micro-USB port. We work on a other version with charger for this one.
Working time (for the dock with charger) for this first issue was about 4 hours.
If you are interested in our work, please PM me
That was the early realization of two brothers who prefer to lay their pretty HTC smartphones in wooden dock that well in plastic ugly
Sincerely,
Damien
That looks very nice. Great work...
looking good...
Looking very nice
Anyone know of where I can download an app which contains nice quality textured backgrounds like leather, brushed silver, wood, etc or any material which gives a 3D impression? I found this one but it looks a bit crap. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.facewolf.textureslite&feature=search_result
Flikie Wallpapers HD is a good place to start searching http://market.android.com/details?id=com.flikie.wallpapers.hd
Are there ones I can just download and upload to the phone?

Nice man, I'm spoilt for choice now!
The only material missing now is leather.
I do have one nice leather texture which I edited from an apple wallpaper, this one, but it would be nice to find more leather backgrounds.
Ive got over 500 wallpapers don't really need any more
however if anyone has a link for some good Android bootanimations (with the actual green android in it) if be obliged.
what is that clock widget and can i have that wallpaper pls

Paperclip as desk-stand.
Don't try to invent the wheel. Give that Lego back to the kids.
The great paperclip already exists, so use it!
Take a big size paperclip and bend it, and you're done.
See the pics (a blue wallet is used for demonstrating).
I'm using this great x10 stand at my desk at work and also at home next to bed.
Truely cheap (!)
Nearly invisable while in use.
Adjustable to every angle
Best for landscape (portrait is possible)
For use with or without charging cable.
'Foldable' and easy to take with you
Color matches the chrome-x10 hardware buttons.
a true, minimalistic UltimateGeppie design

That's cool but I'm 14 and I like my lego dock alot more than a paper clip ahahaha but its awesome ahaha
Lego is cool!
Hahaha! Well I'm 36 years old. At times when my son can't figure out how to build his Lego I like to help him. Lego is cool! When I was young I didn't have a cellphone, so I build the Transformers!
Maybe you can adapt your lego stand, so you can adjust the angle or make it easy to lay it landscape or portrait. Maybe you can also build some sort of 'roof', so you won't be hindered by sunlight when watching movies.
Keep it up!
