Write a Mortscript to do it.
ehh, that's a bit too difficultf or me..
I think Don'tForget will do what you are wanting.
You can get it from http://dashapps.googlepages.com
Thanks. I tried Don't Forget. But it crashed when it tries to switch to Flight mode.

I will write you up one this weekend and post it here for you.
What times do you want it to switch the radio off and what time to turn it back on?

Bupahs, that's so nice of you. Can you set it to from 9PM to 8AM? It's just a text script, right? So I can modify it later? Thanks!
I think this should fit the bill nicely http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/System-Utilities/Communications/SleepWell-32308.shtml
There's a pair of programs i use(d). Both by the same company. One will schedule automated events (alarms, shut-off, etc) and the other will record macros.
Essentially you record a macro (choose start at home screen) and work your way into comm manager as if you normally would, and this device will remmeber what you did.
Next you would set an autorun in the second program.
A few things i have noticed..
Doesn't function perfectly when starting in LOCK mode, so you have to fake an unlock by pressing the unlock key and Z, then just press the HANGUP button to make sure it is on the home screen
You have to leave time considering for LAG with your phone, i would give it a good couple of seconds more than it actually takes for each step to make sure it doesnt mess anything up....realize that it isnt remembering your destination, just your keypresses and pauses...
Program has a VERY AKWARD and barely legible font, so trust it!
The auto-run program comes packed with a bunch of automatically programmed alarms and events, so delete them when you install
The names of these programs are:
MacroRecorder and AutoFlight ...both are by CyberHorse i believe

Personally I like a good simple and small foot print Mortscript. Why install two programs to do what a 5k script will do?

Thanks Evi1d33d. This one works great. The only minor problem is the Edit dialog doesn't like my font. Most messages are truncated.
Off topic but does anyone know a free app that let you schedule when the phone turns on/off?
I think it's almost impossible since the phone isn't running anything when it's off.

Sleepwell is great, however, I guess I'm missing something....
I can define the hour to turn on airplane mode... how about turn OFF airplane mode? How this software knows when I want my phone back? I couldn't find any settings to it, or am I missing something
I think I got the picture... you define one setting to turn off, and then define another setting to turn on. Is it? Am I right?
Regards.

I will post one tomorrow (sunday 8) sorry about that guys.
Ok, I have a couple scripts ready to go.. almost, I need to know for which version of WM to make them, just so there are not errors or unexpected issues.

i have wm6.1 kavana rom 90123 not 80408 WWE
hello,
please does anybody has idea how to set peak time for email sync on WP7?
thank you
Tomas
You can't. Unlike WM, there isn't the ability to set sync times. One of the things I am hopeful will be included in a future update, although it doesn't seem like a big deal to most people....it seems I am one of the few who needs and misses this functionality in WP7
what ! No silent mode
Hi,
I hear you both.
Currently, XDA sends out its daily emails at just past 5am every morning
And since someone decided to not allow the phone to go 'silent', I get woken up every time

turn off your notifications sound when you go to bed.
Under settings/ ringtones and sounds
or turn the ringer off and that should mute them.

If not, wife would have me sleeping in the couch
same with me
sometimes it's very annoying not to have peak sync times...

Yes, me too.
I have listed it here in the missing features.

Any devs want to try porting Smart Actions from the RAZR to our beloved GN <3 ?
I purchased Tasker but it's just not quite the same.
I'm sure a lot of people would be pretty excited to have the app on the nexus; it's a pretty f***in sweet app ;p
bump .. nobody? not even curious or considering trying.. or have any thoughts on the matter ? This really is an amazing app ...
Try Tasker
EDIT: Nvm, just read the full post

and i saw you had 0 thanks.. not that it matters, but there ya go XD effort is appreciated
Ha! My first thanks, haha. Didn't really deserve it though..
I thought Tasker had more features than SmartActions. From what I've seen though SmartActions is more intuitive and user friendly. Is that why you prefer it?

Many reasons, and the community have asked for Smart Actions on various devices a lot.
so what is the difference between the 2??
Look into Locale. A lot of the plugins are cross-compatible. It's a slightly different mindset (one that I actually prefer), and IMO the interface is more intuitive. Tasker profiles seem to be more event based (e.g. triggered when I connect to wifi) whereas Locale is more state based (e.g. triggered while I'm connected to wifi).

Heard of it, dunno why I haven't looked into it yet..hm
Thanks, will check it out for sure
Tasker is a massive pain in the ass lol
Edit: Gonna stick with Tasker for now, Locale seems to be too basic (lacks a lot of functions/conditions)
SmartActions .. really jelly of the RAZR for that one thing lol
anyone tried Llama? Still my favourite...
There's also Settings Profiles … it supports Locale-plugins for some weeks now.
last shot at this before I let the thread fade away
...Any word on the possibility of a SmartActions port
thanks.
I too would be interested in smart actions.
I've tried llama, juice defender, and a couple other similar ones. I want rules like when my home wifi gets disconnected, turn on BT (to work in the car), turn off wifi to save power. Once I'm at work turn off BT, and turn wifi back on. The issue I have is llama isn't accurate enough. By the time it triggers I'm half way to work because of the cell tower distances.
Im looking into this as well. I've tried tasker and Im not willing to shell out more money for apps that probably wont work.
I want a few things:
When Im home I want wifi to automatically turn off, when I leave home I want it to turn off.
When I am home I want 3/4g to switch to 2g, and back to 3g/4g when I leave home.
Also want gps to turn on, on its own when I launch mapsm/nav/places.
Any ideas??
Tasker has failed me on more than one occasion and it's just too unreliable to use daily.
Seriously is it that hard to port over an app?
Why don't you just use tasker, you can do almost anything with it. Smart Actions is extremely limiting. Anyone who roots their phone and is truly a power user uses tasker.
If you would like i can make you some profiles.

That'd be cool
But I've set up a few profiles and sometimes my mobile data wouldnt be turned back on, or my brightness, or sync..etc ... and i wouldnt notice until the next day...
Thats not good..
You might need to set up exit actions? When the task finishes it runs an action on exit. ie turn back on your data after the time period is over.

Yeah, I did.. thats what I meant.. sometimes, the exit action wouldn't be activated and so I would be stuck on Data-off or sync-off .. etc
weird, cant say ive ever heard of or had that problem unless maybe you disabled the notification icon at which point the OS might kill it.
Since i don't know where to find any take help forums here in xda(if there is any), I'm going to ask my tasker question here since mo phone is a galaxy s3. So here it is, how do you configure take to turn off mobile data after five minutes when the screen is off? I can only program it to turn off instantaneously when the screen is off. I am kind of a noob at tasker and i need help...

In between screen off and turn mobile data off add action: task>wait. You can set the time to wait.

I use Tasker. But I highly recommend using the Green Power app. It takes care of wifi/data/BT etc., better. I used to do it with Tasker.
This will drive me insane until I figure it out or get an answer or some sort of modded rom. On my S3 these settings were independently controllable, I used sound manager (before that, Tasker) to set schedules to turn the notifications off at night. Does anyone know how to unlink these?
Don't believe it's an option on the One. Likely will need a mod in a rom

Might want to look into Tasker to automate the disabling sync at night. Or something similar. I have my phone switch into a 'sleep mode' where I can still get calls but don't get notifications.

This bothers me as well. Anyone with a spare $.99 willing to try SwitchPro Widget? It's been reported to work on the International One.

I don't understand when people say tasker is a puzzle.. It's easy to figure out and has a lot of guides. I have it turn off wifi and data silence my phone and only ring if certain people call at night for emergencies. It also puts my phone on vibrate if I am busy with something on my calendar.
Sent from my HTC6500LVW using xda app-developers app

You would ask me to do that the day I send my phone off. I can't look right now, but when I created the profile I just opened the app and goofed with it. Have you checked it out lately? The new UI apparently made things much easier and I was able to cobble it together very easily. It's not selective like "only let my family" call at night.. but I did do a time event, said after 11pm, then turn off background sync .. I also set notification volume to 0. There were far more options in Tasker than HTC had available out of the gate.
If you can't figure it out send me a PM and when my phone returns I'll get that profile set backup and I can pass it along.

Thanks, I can figure it out, that is at least half of the enjoyment. The other half is sporting around the automation. Just got a lot on my plate right now, thought I might try to "cheat" off you.
