Live messenger

Hi guys,
i had searched thru the forum for one whole day but still cant the ans i need. My live messenger doesnt give the option to key in my e mail address and password to sign on...what can i do?

its comes with the Pro black WM6 rom

its embedded into Windows Live... when you kick up Windows Live just press the green > and it will take you to the messenger section....

do i need to be connected via wifi before i have that option? coz currently i do not have that option.
i had tried to download the latest rom from dopod asia website to re flash my 838 into the official rom.
But the flash program doesnt allow me to do that....

no you dont... you can use any connection... as long as it has a valid internet connection...

hi, i also get the same prob. May i know what do you mean "press the green > ". I did not see any thing like this?

just de-install your msn live and install this new version. It works perfectly for me..

I couldn't see any option where I can uninstall my build-in MSN messenger in the M3100 WM6 Black version?

Icon on top corrupted ?

Hi all !
I've just got my X01HT (Herm 200) a weeks ago and I flashed the OS to black majik's ROM and it rocks . Everything run smoothly except not very good chinese support .
However , yesterday when I obtain the HTC official ROM image , the nightmare begins . It lacks of the HTC home plugin so I've installed it again . And I followed the article in the forum to rename the file to make it work . And then it works as expected , however , the volume icon and the signal icon is missing sometimes ! And sometimes the icon display part of it (right part of the singal strength is missing) .
So I think maybe the Chinese version not suppose to work and I installed a WWE english HTC rom , but it remains the same . Anyone has idea about it ?

So , finally solved .
The trouble clausing software is not HTC Home plugin but Custel HTCustom .
Hard reset and reinstall all software except HTCustom works flawlessly in this case .

Just to clear something up RIGHT NOW....it is NOT the official HTC image, it is the official DOPOD release.

Haha , it doens't matter anymore ... as dopod is part of HTC from now on in Hong Kong (I'm not sure if it is the same in other country) .
BTW , another update for this question . I've reinstalled the CUSTEL HTCustom , and it doen't cause any trouble anymore , as I didn't change any setting in the "UI" section . So it seems the mod in UI cause this porblem .

He guys this one unbricked my T-Mobile MDA Compact 3 NL (i had to do it with 2 mda's one working with active sync to start de update en get phone info, after that you pressed next next blabla, atm that you phones restart you need to unplug the phone en replug it into the bricked phone start it up on the bootloaderscreen (left hwbutton) and it starts to update!

I've installed this ROM succesfully on my MDA Compact III
But now I'm looking for the HTC Home plugin, Cube and Touch Flo that works with this official T-mobile WM6 Dutch ROM
I don't want to flash an entire new dutch WM6 ROM, I just want to have a proper HTC Home plugin.
I tried to install an english version of the plugin but that leaves the plugin as empty space.
Where can I find it?

I installed the new WM6 from T-Mobile but in the bottom of the screen there are some quicklinks to several programs but I don't want that.
Is there any way in removing this?

In registry remove the following:
Go to the keyname HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\init find and Launch92 and edit the value from TryAp.exe to _TryApp.exe

Ugly pink and white comm manager
Eventhough i softreset before the t-mobile customisations the comm manager has ugly pink buttons now. Is there a way to regain the original comm manager>

What apps
Can someone tell me what apps are in this ROM please?
Is live messenger in it?
What radio version, how much storage en memory are available after flashing this ROM.

A simple google search for 'htc home plugin' brought me here. I don't know if it works on the dutch version; maybe you'd have to change the settings. I think B&B roms have a program for that, or else the dutch touch rom.

Hi, i had the same problem, the ugly pink commManager.
I tried to change the it to the standard htc commManager, but that give a error.
But now it's working.
Use the uspl program,after the reboot install the standard htc commManager.cab and it will work.

anyone having problems with this rom?
i installed the one i downloaded from t-mobile.nl software downloads.
and now all the phone is giving all the sounds through the large speaker instead of the normal one where you have to hold you phone to your ear.
tried flashing back to the touch 3.01, but still all the sounds come from the wrong place, like speakers is always turned on during calling.
any ideas?

To install this on my Orange M650
i have tounlock the phone first ?
then can i use both a t-mobile and an orange SIMcard ?

do i have to install arabic rom ? i just want it to read and write .....
and if i need a rom where do i get it from ....... ???????????

Ahmed, I'm from Egypt too.... (and my name is Ahmed as well).
I seemed to have found a lot of programs for arabic support for touch screen pocket pc's but not for smartphones like the cavalier, do some searches online, maybe you'll get lucky!

I don't know of any rom that supports Arabic for our phones. Kinda sucks.
Did you buy your phone from Vodafone Egypt (only ones that sell it here) or from overseas unlocked like I did?
Because if you bought it from Vodafone it should already support arabic.
The only other thing I can think of is if you go to the official agent for HTC here in Cairo,

They are actually very professional and may be able to help you. I know for sure they can change your board and it would have arabic, but that would be pretty expensive.

yes i bought it from vodafone Egypt
but it stil doesnt support arabic although there is arabic letter printed on the bttons itself ... thats wierd ...
the thing i noticed today is that on my phone box the Stars-Suite logo is printed on it .... stars suite is an arabizing suite ... still lookin 4 it
but maybe i should give HTC a visit so i can see wut can they do 4 me

I originally bought one from Vodafone, but I couldn't unlock it to work on mobinil, tried websites, abdelaziz street, everything, and no one could unlock it, so I returned it and bought it from overseas.
Definitely give JOVITronix a call or a visit, maybe they'll help!!

i NEED THE S621 ORIGINAL ROM!!

i THINK I BRICKED THE PHONE, I TRIED TO UPLOAD THE ROM AND THE FILE WAS CORRUPT SO IT STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PROCESS NOW THE PHONE FREEZES ON THE HTC SPLASH SCREEN AND CANT CONNECT TO ACTIVE SYNC SO AM I STUCK TRYING TO MAKE A GOLD CARD TO MAKE IT WORK...I DONT KNOW WHERE I WOULD GET ACCESS TO ANOTHER DASH WITHOUT BUYING ONE

I believe that if you go to t-mobile support site you can download original RUU 1.22.531.8. 45MB to big to upload here for you.

the one i need is 1.33.422.1 from htc not tmobile and htc doesnt have it

also what is the difference between that version and this one

Well, you need to try all the roms or do you need someone specific (T - Mobile for example??)

i have the htc s621 i just wanted the original windows mobile 6 standard that came with it

Why ? Kavana 6.1 or 3VO 6.5 are so much better........

i kinda like the way the icons go across the bottom on the factory rom...also i wanted to flash it back to original settings...

im just a newbie but do you mean the BLACK Tmobile Dash.. if so the ROM that came with this phone from Tmobile is version, 1.22.531.8 which is on Tmobile's site, you just have to enter your IMEI number and follow the instructions on how to install.
just to to Tmobile site, and go to support, phone/device support go to the bottom where it says Tmobile Phones, look for the Dash, and go to the download section and look for the ROM there
